I went through couple of posts here and all of them end up with the same conclusion, SCAM after SCAM. Is there any decent crypto related security which is actually worth of investing in?
Is there anything with a decent business plan, a clear statement how to use money collected from investors and a dividend which might provide ROI some time in the future?

This is why it is extremely hard to find innovative and profitable businesses, they are often covered in a lot of Bitcoin IPO junk. Trust me, differentiation is the key and it is also our single most efficient defense against bad investment decisions. |

Hey guys, this is a really great idea. I have been mining and investing into crypto for almost 2 years. Currently my portfolio consists of 4 different investments and guess what, they are all profitable ATM with ROI between 2 and 8 months. It took me months of research to select these ones I use and I have a list of at least 10 more potential investments I currently work on.
Anyway, I would be delighted to join this group and share my info with other people as long they share something similar with me. A word of caution, this group needs to be private and limited in numbers. Large number of people saturates every investment opportunity. Also, people need to be ready to give something in order to get something. In other words, the group cannot be simply about people asking for info and not sharing anything.

No chance of me making a ROI with these guys as things stand unfortunately.
I took my 1 year contract out on the 10th of June for 0.433 Btc for 2 Mhz (approximately $277.12).
So far, earnings in just under 3 months have come to $66. The rate of earnings is decreasing steadily however, with approximately only $11 earnt over the past 27 days!
I think if BTC price gets back above $720 dollars this should make a ROI, but if the price continues to stay low there is zero chance of making a ROI.
If however you do feel like experimenting with the service then please click my affiliate link, as if your confident on an increase in Btc price this should make you some profit.

There are far better cloud mining services out there, I use a couple of these and I can compare results easily. So I just spoke with Marco about things last night. (Marco is the CEO of genesis). He is launching LifeTime Contracts today and upgrading all other previous folks to the same. Now, from what he told me, a lifetime contract is one that you get for as long as there is profit on the machine. So meaning a good long while seeing as how they have dirt cheap power. So this kind of changes things for you I would presume, no? This might improve situation a bit, considering they offer a variety of coins to mine, let see how it goes. Definitely step in the right direction. |

Please don't get arbtrage confused with these 'guarenteed get rich' quick schemes. You don't always make money no matter which way the price moves, it has nothing to do with the direction of price movement.

I'm not sure it is possible to reach ROI at the prices they have paid. Even the new prices are still higher than the GAW Prime Hashlet if you go through a reseller because you typically get 5% off. That one will only ROI because GAW keeps adding features to it and changing the game. (Maybe it won't make it either.) But it is priced a nearly a 2x premium to everything else! The only attraction to Genesis mining is that you can pick which coin you want and maybe if you are great at picking coins you could get a positive ROI. How is this different from simply using BTC to buy that particular coin at the first place? |

Ask again in Feb-March time which is when GM started selling contracts I believe. You can ask me in the middle of May. Dude, there is NO WAY you can reach ROI from purchased hash. I understand you give your best to promote that discount code they gave you but this is not what I was talking about, I was talking about hash purchased directly from Genesis Mining. If things are going so well for you, show me your calculation, what ROI have you received so far, when did you buy your hash and at what price? If I am wrong, I will apologize but there is simply NO WAY anyone can make money of Genesis Mining cloud hashing service ATM. I never said anything about if things are going well for me or not, just saying that my contract is for a year, I am not even a third through it yet, but as I have another 9 or so months before my contract finishes then if you ask me then, I can tell you whether I reached it or not. I do have contracts with other providers too, My contracts with GM are small, I bought 0.8btc worth between May and June, daily payments when I started were around 0.003 BTC a day, that was with 1.8 Megahash, so not too bad, by June though it started falling fast, I had 3.8 Megahash by then. So if it makes ROI, so be it, still a load of months left yet. Again, ROI s been steadily going down for everyone, starting the day we purchased contracts. I really do not see what do you expect to happen in the next couple of months which might improve your ROI cause difficulty s going to go up and your ROI s going to go down. Genesis Mining delivered what I paid for, there is no issue there, however, I would never buy from them again cause having experienced this kind of ROI. |

So WTF is this then? How do they make money to pay off their users? I don't think this can be an ordinary ponzi, everybody knows info about owners and the company, if they scam so many people, they ll be in jail for millions of years. There must be some other agenda behind this.
I agree with you.... but have you heard of Mt Gox? Sure but Mt.Gox was an established business with clear business plan and strategy which could have generated profit for the company. Their owner being a scammer is a completely separate issue. On the other hand, I cannot identify this business strategy part when talking about hashlets, how do they plan to make money, at least in theory. Once this is identified, then we should talk about whether they are able to execute that business strategy. |
