Taking hardware wallets with you is quite tedious and also they don't work with mobiles. This chip based hardware wallet has certainly made things better.

DJ Khaled and Mayweather had an issue about shilling an ICO. And other celebrities hyping or promoting scam coins. Who would actually rely on their words? If you're listening to celebs then you are not ready for this type of market at all.
In our everyday lives, people use products that celebrities promote, promoting coins/icos/tokens is no different from it, they get paid to do shilling it's you who needs to do due diligence.

So you have jumped from nothing to senior member after merit system? That's superhuman ability sir. I have collected 9 merit in 1 year

I saw non Bitcoin paying bounties doing it as well, extra stakes for people having certain amount of merit (for example, Eosbet). It's certainly distinguishes airdropped ranks vs self-made ones.

I am on my own, so if I die, my Bitcoins will be vanished from supply, forever. Unless of course, someone can guess the password of private files.

I find it fine to be honest, he spent it on the experience which will last until his lifetime. Don't understand how he 'ruined' his life as written in title.

No matter how much people bash school systems, it's necessary, basic maths, basic understanding of languages is must. Let them learn that, then once they are mature enough let them earn money through Bitcoin or something else. Don't put them on bandwagon of money from early age, let them enjoy childhood.

Cryptocurrencies are pseudonymous so it might be trouble for taxation agencies to track down and tax individuals.

I gamble with steem/sbd on Steem platform, what I do is after winnings I power up to steem power (which is locked and takes 12 weeks for complete power down) (not many friends haha).

I have seen here ; to gain merit one needs to be: 1 Intelligent 2 Knowledgeable 3. Solving problems of other members answering to their questions. 4 Contributing something new to the forum 5 Working for the betterment for the forum 6 Must be capable to express views clearly so that others can understand what the person wants to state. 7 contributing a lot of time here Most of the above are must if one wants to get lots of merit points with fast speed. Or else the progress will be slow You forget 'connections', they help a lot. When you have connections, other things can be worked out.

That 'HD Derivation Path' is correct, just go through them one by one and hopefully you'll come across the one which has funds in it.
It could be 5th or 500th address, if your wallet don't have much funds then leave it and move on.

Indeed, (un)fortunately life works like that. Make a mistake, learn and repeat. You learned to walk by falling.

I will just shill you the ICO whose signature I am wearing, It's Jarvis, their team feels like calm headed individuals who knows what they are doing, and they are gonna continue with whatever amount is raised.

Crypto market these days is like p&d, goes green for few days dumps thereafter. No one can predict exactly what will be the next move. Although, charts/TA helps to some extent.

It is hard enough that I have stopped trying. <**> It is very possible for excellent posters, for average not as much.
If you want to achieve higher ranks via the merit system, you need to stop thinking in this manner. In want ever your do, your mindset matters alot. Here's a motivation for you from my self-made full member, celebration post; If there was any myth that an average poster (like myself) can't rank up due to the merit system then I have busted that myth.
It might take sometime as an average post to receive the required merits needed to rank up but if you keep on posting with the intention of helping others as each post is written with quality, you will surely achieve those set goals. DON'T GIVE UP. A proper sub section helps too. In Bitcoin discussion/altcoin discussion sections, you don't get much exposure to 'merit givers'. Gambling discussion and this meta section is good place to place your tent (let me know other such places).

Is this promotion or something at the end? Anyway, I feel that crypto market is bound to rise, we are witnessing the history in the making.

I use coinomi it's multi coin and multi platform wallet, been using it since 2k14 haven't encountered anything serious trouble yet, their support is also excellent.

Good ICOs are still thriving (although not all may have reached hardcap/softcap), some projects even continued their product without reaching their softcap. I guess that should be the spirit of every ICO.
I'm glad that not all ICOs are getting successful, in late 2017 or early 2018 many icos raised millions but what was their product? A mobile app. Lol!

Probably due to low marketcap of whole crypto industry, it's easy to manipulate such low volume market when you have money (there is also media manipulation).

One noticeable thing, airdrops used to worth a lot (same with ICOs) these days both of them's hype is gone lol
