Spain got a lead of 8 points and now they lead by 90-82. That should seal the match. As I had said earlier, lower ranking teams don't have much luck during the OT. The longer the match lasts, the advantage shifts to the stronger side. With 125 seconds remaining, now it will be impossible for Australia to cover this huge deficit. So the final in all probability will be France vs Spain.
6082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 13, 2019, 10:04:52 AM
It is as close as it can be. I have a feeling that this semifinal is going to the overtime (OT). If Spain gets kicked out of the world cup by Australia, then the winner of this edition will be confirmed as a wild card (provided Argentina beats France). Spain still has 1 minute or so to catch up with Australia. Currently Australia is leading by 1 point (70-69).

As I had predicted the match has gone in to OT.  Grin

The momentum seems to be with Spain and Australia has gone in to full defensive mode. Right now it is advantage Spain, and they are leading Australia 78-77. From what I have noticed, whenever the match goes in to OT, the higher ranking side is having more chances of winning. The perfect example is the United States vs Turkey match.

Edit: 78-78 now.

But as of the moment, it seems like Australia vs Spain will start soon, looks like this is a good game also, and I like to bet on Australia to win by 6+ points, that's x4 and my sportsbook.

End of third quarter mate and the score is 51-55 in favor of Australia, looks like we are on the road for another upset today though there is lot of time left.

Dharamshala is a really beautiful place and once you land there you will see Buddhists people in the street as it is famous for their monastery and i have even visited the empty stadium last year  Cheesy.

There is a Tibetan refugee settlement near Dharamshala and the Dalai Lama lives there. The monasteries are visited by Buddhist pilgrims from all around the world. It is situated at a height of 1,500m and it is perhaps the highest international cricket stadium in India. Nearby, there is another cricket ground in Chail. The Chail Cricket Ground was established in 1893 and is having an elevation of 2,444 meters above sea level (making it the highest cricket ground in the world).

English Test team is doomed, Oz already got The Ashes Trophy.... but I have a feeling that this test could give England a chance to draw the series. Only because Joe root lost the perfect toss and it could work on England's favor when OZ is chasing the target in the 4th inning. Still early to say but this could be a significant factor in the end.
Even the odds makers are favoring England at this stage to win the match, with the way in which they started their innings i really doubt they will win this match but it all depends upon how England are going to bowl, if they are able to pick wickets including Smith cheaply then they will have a chance to level the series. Will think about wagging a bet after seeing how England is bowling.

Australian batting depends too much on Smith, so it is understandable that the bookies are preferring England to win the match. But the problem is that the English bowlers failed to get Smith out regularly in this series. Most of the time, Smith gave his wicket away, while trying to shore up the run rate. None of the English players were able to cause him any trouble, including Jofra Archer who gave him a concussion during the second test.

Congratulations to all the GRE, NZL, AUS, GER and the US fans for todays winning and tomorrow is the quarter-final of the FIBA 2019 game with my prediction.
1) Argentina vs Serbia @ Dongguan Basketball Center; Serbia is to win
2) Spain vs Poland @ Shanghai Oriental Sports Center; Spain is to win

No one expected the Czech Republic to qualify for the QF. The Greece vs Czech Republic game was so close. Had Greece scored one more point, then they would have qualified for the quarter finals. But for now, Greece has become the first heavy weight team to crash out of the world cup, despite the one man show of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

It was like Bangladesh committing suicide by themselves. They made the pitch too friendly for the spinners, disregarding the fact that the Afghan lineup had at least one world class spinner (Rashid Khan). And now they have a loss against their name, and that too at home versus a team that was just promoted as a test playing nation.
6088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 09, 2019, 03:58:50 AM
Anyway, regarding tomorrows match vs Czech republic. Obviously the Czechs are in the drivers seat..
Oddsmaker thinks the other way around maybe because Greece had the NBA MVP.
Czech Republic 5.20     Greece 1.16
I would be on the Czech here for the x4 on my money and it would not be an upset if they will win this game. Crazy FIBA World cup so far, fans expectations and assumptions getting derailed and one of those is that USA and Serbia will meet in the semis not in the finals (if ever they meet). Spain would be taking the easier way to they finals and they are at 6.60 odds at the bookies right now, worth the take.

First Serbia need to beat Argentina in the quarter finals. Looking at their horrific performance during the match against Spain, even that looks doubtful. BTW, today's US vs Brazil match can be interesting as well. Brazil already have one upset against their name (vs Greece). BTW, the opponents for US in the quarter finals can be either France or Australia (depending on the results of today's match).
6089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin get banned worldwide? on: September 09, 2019, 02:59:26 AM
The only way in which Bitcoin can be "banned" is if a global ban is implemented by the United Nations. And it is still probable that some of the UN members will refuse to comply with the ban. Such a global ban would mean that possession of the cryptocurrency and running of nodes is illegal. But even if the UN goes ahead with a ban, and in case all the member nations support it, destroying Bitcoin is going to take a lot of time and resources. They can seize the mining farms and conduct a 51% attack, but it may turn out to be counterproductive.
6090  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-09-07] Bitcoin Trading is now Banned in Burundi on: September 09, 2019, 02:53:22 AM
I don't expect the third world nations such as Burundi to legalize Bitcoin, until all of the developed nations does that. And Bitcoin is still not 100% legal in some of the developed nations. It will not happen overnight. We need to remain patient and do whatever we can, to assert pressure on the law makers.
6091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 08, 2019, 07:42:46 AM
Apart from the Serbia vs Spain match, there is another interesting match taking place today. Russia is taking on Venezuela and Argentina is taking on Poland. In order to qualify for the next round (QF), Russia needs to defeat Venezuela by a good margin, and Poland needs to be beaten by Argentina. The Diff between Russia and Poland is 6 and 36. It's going to be very tough for Russia.
6092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 08, 2019, 07:37:15 AM
I would like to slightly modify your post. In my opinion, this is the current status of the match:

Steve Smith  VS (England + Umpires+ rain)

Steve Smith is like one man army. None of the Australian batsmen are able to give him any sort of support. Even his better partnerships came while batting with the lower order and tail end batsmen. Warner, Paine.etc have been in horrible form.
This just goes to show how dependent the Australian team is on Smith which is not a good thing since this is a team game. Labuschagne is the only other consistent performer in this series while the remaining batsmen are out of form.

There was a time when the Indian team had a similar dependence on Virat Kohli. Yes.. cricket is a team sport and over-dependence on any single batsmen is not a good sign. But for now, the Australians will be happy with the way things are turning out. An away win, and that too in a series against England will go a long way in boosting the morale of the Australian team. They are performing so well now, that any memory of their horrible form during last year (when Smith was not playing) is rapidly fading away...
6093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: suggestion bounty to join on: September 08, 2019, 07:14:30 AM
Before joining any bounty campaign, make sure that the campaign manager is not a scammer and has enough past experience. Some of these campaigns are being managed by the noobs, and for me it is a big red flag. Avoid such campaigns like plague. Also, look for the percentage allotted for bounty from the total pool. Don't join campaigns where the percent allocation is 1% or lower.
6094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Brandt: 99% of Altcoins Will Be Forgotten in Five Years on: September 08, 2019, 07:07:07 AM
what the guys said is logical but need time to be proven. Therefore, it would cause a great debate among those who are holding coins.

We're already witnessing the proof, aren't we? The altcoin market share has gone down by more than 50% during the last two months, from above 50% to less than 25%. Many of the smaller altcoins and tokens are no longer actively traded. Even the established altcoins such as Cardano, Monero and NEO has lost more than half of their value. Still needs proof?
6095  Economy / Economics / Re: Indian Economy rising at slowest pace - Should they consider Crypto-currency? on: September 08, 2019, 06:57:02 AM
Crypto is not a solution when you are at economic crisis. They should have considered it some years ago. They just needs to decrease their operational costs and spend moeny to create jobs and boos the economy with internal production and consumption.

This is correct. The economy is going down because of the burden from freebies. And cryptocurrency is no solution for any of these issues. Rather than reducing the freebies and subsidies, the current government have been increasing them to get the votes. But there is no alternative. The opposition is lead by a clown, and is much worse than the ruling coalition.
6096  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency users statistics on: September 08, 2019, 06:17:06 AM
Lol.. this look quite ridiculous. Do you want to say that the Bitcoin adoption in the United States is lower than the world wide average? And even more ridiculous is the figure for Japan, which is regarded by many as the country with the maximum Bitcoin penetration. I don't know much about South Africa, but to say that countries like Nigeria and Ghana have more Bitcoin users (in %) compared to US and Japan is pure BS.

Why are you surprised? There are more barriers to dealing with cryptocurrencies in the US than elsewhere. A lot of the countries higher up the list have citizens suffering from problems such as high inflation or capital controls so I'm not surprised they score higher. Another thing worth mentioning is the prevalence of various ponzi schemes based on cryptocurrencies in certain African countries.

I am not sure about the United States, but there are hundreds of Bitcoin exchanges based there and I believe that it is quite easy for the Americans to purchase Bitcoin. Anyway, for now we can ignore the US. What about Japan? Don't tell me that it is easier to purchase Bitcoins in Ghana (which doesn't have a single Bitcoin exchange) than doing so in Japan.
6097  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-27] Craig Wright loses Kleiman case—billions in Bitcoin awarded to Klei on: September 08, 2019, 06:11:24 AM
As Bitcoin grows in popularity, the number of users will increase from the current level of ~200 million. Within a few years we'll be having billions of users. And if Craig Wright is able to control at least 10% of them, it will give him an enormous amount of power.
You're giving Craig far too much credit here. Most of the "support" that BSV enjoys consists of bots, and then there on a much smaller scale are some imbeciles of human beings too weak minded to figure out that he is a scam. BSV army is very similar to XRP where the wealthy backers finance this fake sense of reality.

We have people who believe that the earth is flat. And there are tens of millions (or even hundreds of millions) who don't believe in the theory of evolution. When we have such low IQ people in this planet, it is not very surprising for me to find sizable number of individuals who would believe that the criminal Craig Wright is the real Satoshi Nakamoto.
6098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here is why Cryptocurrency future in India is in danger on: September 08, 2019, 05:57:59 AM
The national currency (Indian Rupee) has depreciated against the United States Dollar by more than 6% during the last few months. The government is trying to prop up the currency and the bad news is that they currently view assets such as gold and Bitcoin as detrimental to the health of the national currency. They recently imposed 12% tax on gold, and measures against BTC can also be expected soon.

Another poor decision by the umpires in favor of England. Marnus Labuschagne given out LBW despite hawkeye showing that the ball is just touching the bails. Australia in some trouble at 24/3, but Steve Smith is still out there. They are leading by 220 and I guess another 130 runs would be enough to get a 2-1 lead in favor of Australia. On the other hand, if England could get Australia out for 100 or below, then they may be having a real chance.
