can anybody confirm if latest version is:
v0.8.7.5-Patch 6 Alpha

this is fine, right?
can't keep up with so much movement here...

on github you can see the latest updates https://github.com/CryptoCoderz/Espers/releases

indeed I'm on the newest version
thanks a lot for the github link, already starred it to keep in track.
glad to see that the project still has active development!
congrats on the 3 years!
6102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Binary-Chain - VeriCoin and Verium - The First Dual-Blockchain Protocol on: April 11, 2019, 06:53:56 PM

well, at least VRC is still listed
(and it seems it's not being delisted)

any reports from the team about this delisting and about other exchanges that will list VRM afterwards?
6103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COMP] Compound Coin - 250% Interest Proof of Stake - Listed on 4 Exchanges on: April 11, 2019, 04:58:35 PM
Hello mates! I want to know if the total supply at 31,517,368,896 COMP is the cap. Since there are too little coins to be mined, I want to know if I should invest or not. Thank you!

also: what happens with POS whem max supply is reached?
reward % would fall a lot, right?
6104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW] [PoS] VEIL - Privacy without compromise on: April 11, 2019, 04:53:49 PM

I suggest minting the highest denoms you can so you reduce how often you need to remint to reduce orphan rate (not successful stakes). I am using mainly 1K's right now, and remint every two weeks or so. After Precompute is implemented, there will be no need to remint.

care to explain this a bit? do we have to remint our stakes after a while?

How does one easily remint?

Are you talking about sending ZeroCoin to myself? And, I thought it didn't matter the transaction size because coin-age doesn't matter. I was under the impression that all coins stake the same regardless of transaction size

yes you convert all back to basecoin and then remint.

Thanks a lot for the info VeilDango, it was super explanatory. Cheers !

just keep in mind that when sending coins to yourself it may take a while with the wallet "not answering", don't close it, just wait.
some people report it takes more than 20 hours sometimes...
6105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Loom Network - Introducing Zombie Battleground — A Collectible Card Game That Ru on: April 11, 2019, 03:55:24 PM
just for the records. the game is already listed on app store for ios (and probably for android as well)

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zombie-battleground-tcg/id1432628453?mt=8

they're running some tests now and will bring rewards back in a couple of months I guess

got really surprised for not finding a LOOM thread on bitcointalk.
maybe a proper session for games would be nice too.
6106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SSD or HD - what's best for running several crypto wallets? on: April 11, 2019, 03:51:33 PM

yes, know about linux being way more secure and already studying the possibility of installing it here along with windows.
my biggest concern with it is that many of the editing programs I use (like premiere/after effects) don't run well on linux.

regarding defragging SSDs being that bad for life of it it's been debunked.
it reduces lifetime but it's so tiny it doesn't realy make a difference,if fragmentation i really high it may be worth to do it.
6107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WHY NEWBIES KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTION " ITS TO LATE TO START MINING ? on: April 11, 2019, 03:47:33 PM

Yeah I think I'm still lucky though, my first mined coin doesn't go to zero, yet  Grin . I think it's useless if you want to jump to mining but not experience it first hand, so I give it a try.

Experience is a great teacher indeed and I agree about the risk management, especially for a newbie. I most likely got more stress if go all in with all of my funds.
It seems to me that mining has ceased to be an opportunity to earn money for a newcomer to the crypto market. This is a business in which serious players play with many millions of investments in equipment.

this remind me of OP post hahaha

well. maybe its true for the big coins but definitely not true for spec mining and launch mining.
there's still money to be made in crypto

6109  Economy / Economics / Re: There's nothing more happier than seeing your bitcoin price going up! on: April 10, 2019, 03:48:52 PM
I find that dettatching my happiness to the results of my investments helps me to invest better.

I try to approach investing in a way that it's not either good or bad, it is what it is.

this helps me not to get euphoric when things are going good and not to get sad or panic when things are sinking.
6110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SSD or HD - what's best for running several crypto wallets? on: April 10, 2019, 03:19:36 PM
SSD is the fastest but you shouldn't put it on your computer anyway. When staking use a low powered computer instead and leave it running all the time. HDD or SSD it doesn't matter if using a dedicated small staking computer

you definitely have a good point here.
was just considering different opinions and possibilities and wanted to hear the thoughts of the community here
6111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【ANN】 ✅ LETHEAN ✅ - Secure, Anon & Fast P2P-VPN-Network backed by the Blockchain on: April 10, 2019, 03:18:30 PM
Pump dump coin...   I think: 500k lethean  40sat dump  and buy 33  ... wait pump  again dump...  many many lethean... and profit up...   very shit...

Lethean need big exchange and stop pump dump play....

I don't consider this situation like a pump & dump: just price movements... A pump and dump is a very big increase and then big dump :p

Here, we just have people interested by the project who sometimes market buy and the price increases a little bit and sometimes the price is decreasing due to lack of buyers (what I can completely understand because we are a small community with a new product that still need to be known).

I don't know what was your idea when you entered in this project: I bought a different levels (< 30 sats to 50 sats sometimes), it's a mid/long term investment here!

would agree with denish here.
Let's call is pump and dump with high was 500 sats
movements between 30 and 50 sats are just accumulation
6112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Planning for summer 2019 on: April 10, 2019, 03:07:05 PM
better defining summer.
if OP lives in a place like Rio de Janeiro, Brazil summer is 41 celsius.
if OP lives in Helsinki summer may not be higher than 33 celsius

many summers on the same planet.

but I'd agree with most suggestions:
take a brea
or get an air conditioning system if you live in hot climate
6113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WHY NEWBIES KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTION " ITS TO LATE TO START MINING ? on: April 10, 2019, 03:03:33 PM
<...>

great point!
I had good experiences with spec mining in the past and bad experiences.
bad ones usually go to zero so it's better to plan accordingly and never invest more than 3% of total portifolio (3% already being high)

Good risk management is not only for traders! also super necessarry for miners.
6114  Local / Brasil / Re: Daytrades dentro de Exchanges brasileiras e Imposto Renda on: April 10, 2019, 02:42:56 PM

pra android sempre recomendo a Samourai wallet.

Pelo menos não foi uma lição tão cara a se pagar.
Entendo que pode não ser facil juntar 50 USD mas imagina se fosse 1 BTC, ou 10?
pufff....lição difícil.

<...>

same opinion here
Rebranding will only bring unnecessary amount of work, old scam project is not on the radar anymore, if it was imortant it'd have popped up before launch in january.

keep it.
6118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW] [PoS] VEIL - Privacy without compromise on: April 06, 2019, 04:30:30 PM

can you add this info to main post here on bitcointalk or have it pinned on discord for easier access when checking in the future?

It is under the guides section, link is called ‘Console Commands to send Veil’

perfect, thank you so much!
defiitely will be helpfull for newcomers

any plans on making sending zerocoin faster? is precomputing fully operational already?
6119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZENZO 漸増 [ZNZ] — Universal Identity-Driven Ecosystem |MasterNodes|PoS on: April 05, 2019, 01:11:20 PM
interesting, I like your graphics.

just to let you know.
Luke Wootton Co-Founder linkedin link doesn't work on the website.

where can I find more info on the community takeover?
was this started as a swap from LOL?

total block reward is 9 ZNZ, right?
emission curve stays the same over time?

this would give us an influx of 12960 new ZNZ everyday
12 960 * 0,00000478 = 0.0619488 btc at current prices.

not so high inflation,nice.

are you considering coinmarketcap listing?

6120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: never recieved my transfer from america's card room on: April 04, 2019, 07:12:31 PM

or you can also verify it yourself on https://live.blockcypher.com

Have you tried contacting the poker site as well? what did they say?
