I think he does. Read the context and then consider whether anyone ever would ask for ~36AWG power cables. I know very well what AWG means, but I'm also pretty sure I correctly answered his question.
6102  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: August 04, 2014, 12:06:36 AM
We've got over a hundred boards pending in the preorder. Earliest we'd be shipping new orders is the end of the week. Everything else you need to know is in the first post.

Pardon if I'm a bit short or "snippy" lately. We had a really good timeline laid out but unfortunately everyone we were relying on for anything ever was between one and three weeks late, so now we're stuck with completing two different board production runs, and gathering for a third, and assembling all the cables, and preparing for a double move, and renovating a shop and building up an 80KW hosting infrastructure from literally zero, with the expected deadline for all of that actually already past. Oh and our entire workforce to complete it all is 2.5 guys, the other 1.5 of whom have wifes and, by extension, lives. So yeah, pretty busy. Not a lot of time to answer questions that have already been answered.

Dunno, it's been several months ago. I've got a couple Eyefinity 6 cards for my workbenches that sometimes I'll just pull up vanitygen and let it run for a while. I had some hosting-specific addresses generated the other day but lost them when the power blinked. I've got a "1testicle" address that took a couple weeks, but the joke was well worth it.

Anyway, folks have been asking so I should probably write up an official "terms of service" contract sometime soon. Between renovating the shop, building DPS2K boards and cables and some other custom jobs, we've been pretty busy. And we don't really like paperwork anyway when there's real work can be done. But I'll get it up sometime soon.

Anyone that's looking at Gekkoscience PSUs or hosting, let me know. We're shipping preorders on the DPS2K boards, hopefully will have stock of the 750W boards within a week or two, and will be able to start taking in hosting hardware this week. Everything's moving slower than I was hoping, but that's sorta how bitcoin works - the only thing ahead of schedule is difficulty increases.

I've had some people ask if we were providing controllers and coolers for hosted minion boards. I can assemble the hardware if people supply coolers and control boards with their hosted minion boards, for no extra charge, but as of yet I have no plans to stock the required parts.

First test hardware running in the new location on the temporary ISP. I was going to get pictures but I forgot to make sure the camera battery was not dead. Might finish the shelves tomorrow and start work on meter mounts for individual customer circuits. We should be able to start taking in hardware this week. I won't have VPN access set up until after the 11th though.

Dunno, we're not offering one. Talk to minersource or something, they've got the PSUs.
6107  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: August 01, 2014, 09:51:58 PM
The first finished boards were shipped out today. We'll have a lot of stuff to do this weekend getting the shop set up and moving prep taken care of, so I don't know how many more will get made to ship by Monday but we'll do our best.
6108  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FIRE SALE - D750 750W Server PSU Breakout Boards on: July 31, 2014, 03:56:39 AM
Update - we are currently out of D750 boards. Orders came in hot and fast the last two weeks and drained what we thought was a pretty good buffer. We have PCBs on order for more but don't expect to be shipping any D750 stuff for about two weeks.

We're changing up the "standard package" by offering reduced-feature boards. The stock board won't have current sense or the 5VDC on it, since a lot of people probably don't use those anyway, and it saves a few dollars on parts. Those features will be optional though, so if you want 'em you just need to request 'em. Additionally about the only parts we've ever had issues with failing on these are the toggle switch, so we're replacing the toggle with a push-on push-off button; we're also replacing the fan speed knob with a trimpot. That greatly reduces the amount of stuff sticking up off the board, which will make them slightly less user-friendly but a whole lot less likely to be broken during shipping. If you want the toggle and full-height knob, we can install those instead but you'll have to request 'em.

So, update. Apparently the shipping notification we got was for a different order that we didn't expect to ship until tomorrow. So, thanks a lot guys for getting us the stuff we didn't need early, and there's no evidence yet that the stuff we expected to be delivered a full seven days ago even exists yet.

Edit - they finally gave us a tracking number and the boards were delivered an hour later. So we're checking them over and should start shipping orders tomorrow or Friday.
6110  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: July 30, 2014, 01:10:50 PM
I believe we received a shipping notification about midnight on Monday, which means the boards shipped basically a full week after they were supposed to have been delivered. Once those arrive we still have to populate and test them. We've been pretty busy all week getting the new shop set up, especially the hosting side, but hopefully we'll get that pretty much finished soon. If nothing else goes horribly awry we should be shipping boards next week. Pretty frustrated at the PCB house; we gave them a 3-week-lead order and it turned into a 4.5-week order. They told us two days after it was supposed to ship that it'd probably be shipping one week late and looks like it shipped later than that. Not impressed with their level of communication.

Yeah, QG names everything.
6112  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: July 30, 2014, 02:51:08 AM
We're still in preorder, since the daggum PCB house was well over a week late shipping our boards.

The difference between CS and NCS is NCS exists, but we decided not to make CS.

You should be able to run up to six S3 off a single DPS2K PSU.
6113  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: July 28, 2014, 11:10:55 PM
If by "awg" you mean "inch", I'd probably get the 36". Five miners is a lot to stack around one PSU, and depending on how you're able to organize things, it's not easy to put everything within an 18" radius. If you have your organization planned out you could probably do some 18" and some 36", but the longer cables are only a dollar more and give you a lot more options.
6114  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Minion Chip Assembly GB on: July 28, 2014, 03:01:06 PM
@scrappy do

No worries, good luck with it, it sounds messy, but I've read a dishwasher works wonders when you pull boards out.

So your plan is: Immerse 5 boards with passive finned blocks on chips in mineral oil and then have 2 pipes with pump leading to the tank. Pipes going through an auto radiator/fan?

About watercooling: if you buy square copper waterblocks, they are universal, can fit on any chip now and in the future. The blocks are the only difficult part. The rest is Vinyl tube -> solvent welded PVC pipe manifold -> rubber auto hose -> radiator/fan.

The is the route I will be taking (water cooling) for a few test boards

Pretty much the same here. Looking forward to getting these guys in hand to start messing.
6115  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: July 26, 2014, 03:05:30 PM
I've had one running with a pair of 80mm strapped to it. I don't really have any smaller fans to test with but that setup has been working fine for a month and some.

All you really need is any cord that fits what your plug is, to a C19 end. Pretty generic.
6116  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: July 26, 2014, 05:00:42 AM
Oh hey yeah, not sure if I mentioned this but we've officially gotten everything out of the way to be able to offer hosting. We're talking to the ISP right now, and will start the electrical renovations tomorrow, so we should be able to open things up first part of August. We're working on putting info on our website including a simple rate calculator so people can get an idea of the fees and stuff.
6117  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Approximately 13Th for Sale (US only) on: July 24, 2014, 05:41:28 PM
On that note, yep we got stuff finalized and should be ready to start our basic hosting service the first of August. Adding these machines would be no problem.
6118  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: July 24, 2014, 02:25:40 PM
Yeah it'd be pretty great if we started shipping those boards tomorrow. That'd be great. Board house is still a week behind though, but no more than a week so it won't slow us down too much. And to be honest, we just got everything ironed out with the lease on the shop so it gives us a few spare days to start moving stuff over and getting the electric install taken care of for hosting.
6119  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: July 22, 2014, 11:14:07 PM
Check your own. Been waiting on a response since this morning.
6120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: July 22, 2014, 03:34:25 PM
Because that's our job.
