Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta has tested positive for the Corona virus 1, and the premier league FA are said to have planned an emergency meeting ahead of this weekend's fixtures, after previously stating that matches are to hold as planned 2. The most likely outcome could be a suspension, perhaps an indefinite one.

They (Leicester) are good but not good enough for the champion league, the last time they played at that stage, not sure if they passed the group stage. We don't need teams like that representing us (premier league) at that level. We need teams that can atleast compete for the title and probably win it. Leicester should focus more on playing & winning the Europa when they accomplish that successfully on multiple occasions then they can set higher goals like winning the champion league.

I don't think any team can become good enough for champions overnight, playing regularly in the champions can surely help them build a reputation or garner the experience needed to thrive in the competition, Leicester are far off better than host of other teams that come from other various league.

For what it's worth even the so called big 5 clubs other than Liverpool in recent seasons have all been representing the league poorly, would you rather have Arsenal back in the UCL, just because you Leicester aren't good enough ? I don't think so.

Ligue 1 could be the next one suspended after Serie A imo.

Spanish La Liga beat them to that it already, La Liga has been suspended for 2 weeks with Real Madrid first team now quarantined, after a player from their basketball team tested positive for the covid-19.

The game between Jazz and OKC was initially delayed and then postponed. The news just broke out that Rudy Gobert has tested positive for covid-19. The risk of other Jazz players/staff members contracting the virus is very high.

That's quite a big blow! And If Golbert already knew he was feeling sick and all shouldn't the situation be handled quite seriously, I mean legally given the fact the he was putting everyone else great danger and his actions by touching those mic the way he did clearly demonstrated that.

Congrats on your win, man! It's high time you spend it all, It seems the world is coming to an abrupt end  Angry

It's happening guys! NBA has suspended all matches until further notice, starting from the Utah Jazz vs Thunder game.

It's been speculated that Rudy Golbert was touching every mic and all other things in his pre-game interview, and apparently got sick just before the game.

Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has been tested positive for Coronavirus.  Embarrassed
https://www.juventus.com/en/news/news/2020/communication-urgent.php
He is not experiencing any symptoms but the test results came back as positive.

He was part of the team vs Inter and is in the group picture that was posted on social media where the players are celebrating in the dressing room following the victory.
At this stage, no more information has been released.

Oh! This shit has gotten way out of hands, I just heard the news too. Does that mean the Juventus team could be in isolation and hence be unavailable for the UCL fixture next week ?
6147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 11, 2020, 10:28:12 PM
They do not deserve the win man!

I think that'd would be unfair to them, really.

They put up a great level of energy too, and it's all about strategy If I'm sure I can't match your attacking threat, then defending should be my priority.

And it's Anfield man, Atletico does deserve some respect too, regardless of how boring you find their tactics, coming here is never easy for any team and you know that.
6148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 11, 2020, 10:19:36 PM
It's a Diego Simone's Atletico, I'm definitely saying it's a game over for Liverpool here, 2 goals in 15 minutes against Atleti surely ain't happening here tonight.

I don't know what's wrong with Liverpool. They have the strongest defender (Van Dijk), but they are too weak at the end of the match.

They surely underestimated the guy for the second goal, there is a lack of urgency to get the ball back, even though it was a 2 on 3 situation.
6149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: March 11, 2020, 07:03:33 PM
Boys get them parlays while you can, i hear that the NBA is in discussion to make some drastic changes very soon due to the COVID-19 threat.
We might see games canceled, games played without fans, games played at neutral places (not yet affected by the virus). Worst case scenario - shutting down the NBA for a period of time.

Damn!

This shit should just leave our lovely sports out of this, it's crazy to just keep seeing several sporting events being halted because of the threats the COVID-19 posses, EPL, UCL and now the NBA ?! I just hope they do find a lasting solution on how to contain it ASAP!

Yeah it does feel good when you hit a parlay for more than 10x on any given night.

You know right, it sure does feel good, congratulations to you too!
6150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: March 11, 2020, 01:58:36 PM
Guess who just knocked down an ~30x parlay ? Yeah right, that's me! I've been sitting out making picks here as usual simply because I don't find the fixture really good for me to make a clear-cut decision but I've been tailing @stadus picks.

Tonight, I decided to go for a 1st Quarter/Half parlay bet on some of the favorites tonight and boom! I hit it!

And some of them are live? Wow, I really envy you for that.
Congratulations.

Thanks man! I place the bet pre-live, about 3 hours before any game started IIRC. The "live" text shown on some of the bets only indicates what games are still in progress when I took the screenshot, even though the bet has been settled already.

Congratutlations mate, that's very lucky of you, I envied that win seriously, I wish you shared that before the game so we have a time to follow it.

Thanks mate!

I also would loved not to win this and have some users from here win it too, but it just didn't occur to me to share the bet because I didn't make analysis I just selected some of the favorites and excluded Houston Rockets due to their recent performance (I'm very glad I did), and they could have cost me the win, tbh.

Not every merit sent is an abused, especially when it's not a source merit.

From what I can tell, almost every of the posted quoted above were deemed to be merit worthy by more than one user(4 posts merited by 9 different users) how is that by any means an abuse ?

Well, let's see what the admins say about that. My job is to report when i see something "not ok" or fishy, the rest is up to the admins.

Merits transaction isn't moderated, and admins don't give a shit about how users decide to spend their sMerits, however, Theymos might be slightly concerned, so it's best you send him a PM with you claim, who knows ? He might agree with you.

I think all threads mentioned above falls perfectly into their respective boards or at least one or more existing boards, having them in a different board won't make any difference, but creating a thread listing them / or sticking such thread could make a better impact for easy access.

I do not qualify for UEFA matches, but I have a question - what do you think - will be canceled or not?
It's not about provocation, but about a real question. In my opinion, many sporting situations will be canceled. What do you say?

None of your statements actually make any sense, I guess you're just trying to fill your post requirement.. But by any means you are asking if Uefa matches will get canceled due to the outbreak of Covid-19, then there's is a possibility that some matches will be canceled especially those in countries with large cases such as italy, or probably those matches could hold at a different venue.

I think I read somewhere about there being multi-sig wallets used for holding forum related money (adverts/donations etc) which required two of three people (theymos, OgNasty and another user I cannot recall) to withdraw funds which was supposed to provide a back up mechanism in case one of three became incapacitated for one reason or another

Yes $4 million is a large sum of money and if what you say happened then it definitely is highly commendable.

Yes, It is currently,  held by 3 of 5 multi-sig (Theymos, OgNasty, DarkStar_, minerjones and another user I can't recall as well) but prior to the multi-sig which happened about a year ago, Og held the said funds since 2013 IIRCC.

PS: Apologies to OgNasty for the derailing his thread  Sad

For anyone looking to escrow, with OgNasty, you can be well assured that you're in safe hands!
