6141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGOX2 - KEEP YOU`R BITCOIN SAVE on: September 13, 2018, 12:41:52 PM
Have no auditors who can prove all this virtual Bitcoin trading on exchanger backed by moneyfull private keys.
When people start to windraw Bitcoins from exchangers MTGOX2 will happen.
So better keep your Bitcoins outside echangers for safety.
https://electrum.org/ if you can not use bitcoin core wallet.
do you mean that the Mt.Gox case will be repeated where many bitcoins are hacked and dumped completely, so the price of bitcoin drops drastically as it is today?
Just read the text.
They've read through I suppose and that's why he asked the question. It could be that like me, we need more clarity from you.
Agree with you BitNaija, would b nice to see a source who say it will happen again, but after read xbiv2 words a couple of times is just about paranoia, of course it could happen again. and of course would be nice to prevent it by secure measures like hold our money in our own wallet, so the tip is good, but we can't live with paranoia in this bitcoin world.
6142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello! (introduction) on: September 13, 2018, 01:50:38 AM
Hello everyone. Not sure how I haven't joined until now, but here I am! I'm a December baby, but I've wanted to get into trading for years. Didn't know about crypto unfortunately. I've spent (nearly) every day for the last 10 months in a chart, or trading article since I started. Still hungry to learn more. Glad to be here and excited to learn some new tricks of the trade.

Well, less theory and more practice...

First of all, welcome to the forum, here you will find some good flags about markets, just keep an eye on this threads:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=8.0 Trading Discussion
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0 Bitcoin - Press

Remember trading isn't only about read and interpretating graphs, the news are an important information source when we are taking about trading, so,keep an eye of them, and if you see something who can modify the markets, then ride the wave.
6143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most interesting crypto-related projects in your opinion? on: September 13, 2018, 01:33:49 AM
In my opinion casinos are the most interesting project crypto related.

I have been working for those project as staff and as developer already for 4 years, and just love it, is a crazy madness to see all those btc rolling day by day, and is a madness to understand how does that complex engines works from inside. The beautiful maths behind a provably fair engine, and the depos and withdrawals systems. Just feels awesome to be part of this new paradigm and understand it from it's roots.
6144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is bitcoin core? on: September 13, 2018, 01:20:13 AM
Latest stable version of Bitcoin Core: 0.16.2  [Torrent]. It was always showing at the top left side.when I log in bitcointalk.org what is the use of that bitcoin core and is I earn from that website?

lol, this is the bitcoin forum, as you can see the name is bitcoin talk, a place where people come to talk about bitcoin, and you are really asking what's bitcoin core? lol, is like enter to KFC and ask what's a chicken.

But i will give an answer with friendly words, Bitcoin core is the program behind bitcoin, if you download it and install it then you will be able to send and receive bitcoins on your computer and at the same time you will support the network by running a full node.
6145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful with fake exchanges on: September 12, 2018, 11:01:17 PM
For those of you traders, please be careful with fake exchanges, because I found a VERY SAME exchange that makes no difference at all like the exchange on EtherDelta, the fake exchange link that I saw I got from my Gmail inbox, which message it was contains about giving tokens like AIRDROP, and there I am given a registration form link and in the form there is a fake EtherDelta link, and this is the link http://EtherDelta.website, and this is the original EtherDelta link https://etherdelta.com/. There is no difference at all in the two exchanges, the images, features and others are exactly the same, so please be careful.

Secure your private key, secure your wallet, do not easily believe things that invite you to get rich instantly, do not easily trust advertisements, because crime is not just at one door, who knows there are many other fake exchanges, therefore be careful.

Phishing is a common practice we see now days, even this forum have some evil twins, some months ago a guy post something about satoshi making a giveaway to the forum users, and what he give was a link who looks like bitcointalk link, but he change a i with a l, then people start sending money to 'satoshi nakamoto' but that was just a fake satoshi on a fake forum.

So, the advise here is be careful with internet, not only with fake exchanges or with fakes forum sites, be careful with all that phishing we see now days.
6146  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Qué tan a menudo utilizas LocalBitcoins? on: September 12, 2018, 10:53:06 PM

6147  Local / Esquina Libre / Re: CONCURSO SEMANAL DE MERITO DEL 10 DE AGOSTO AL 17 DE AGOSTO on: September 12, 2018, 12:59:37 PM

6148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Iran touch 26.000 USD on: September 11, 2018, 04:14:36 PM
If you go to google as search 'irr to bitcoin' it shows a table where 1 btc = 263259397.47 irr.

Then i take a look to localbitcoin and you are right https://localbitcoins.com/country/IR 873,245,733.56 IRR / BTC... For that rate you are right, they are selling bitcoins closeto $26k, if that's the scenario wait for a price bump.

But why oeleo say have some sense:

It isn't. The "news" that Bitcoin was selling for $24,000 in Iran was based on the incorrect exchange rate - the subsidized exchange rate of 1 USD to 42k IRR set by the government for imports of certain goods. The actual exchange rate of 1 USD to 140k IRR gives the real price.

That way the 873k irr price isn't crazy at all.
6149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Top 5 most common trading mistakes you should avoid on: September 11, 2018, 03:57:23 PM
Hi, here is an article on the top 5 common mistakes new traders make and how you should avoid them.

https://coincodex.com/article/2314/top-5-common-trading-mistakes-you-should-avoid/?utm_source=bitcointalkt&utm_content=news

Thanks to share the article, now lets bring those 5 points to this thread and see if people are agree with them:

1. Fear of missing out
2. No risk management
3. Portfolio over and under-diversification
4. No knowledge of technical analysis
5. Chasing unreasonable returns/buying the cheapest coin

I'm not agree at all with that list as top 5 common trading mistakes. So, i will make my own

1.- Buy high to sell low (Panic sell)
2.- Want to get profit in a shot time
3.- Avoid reading news and market signals
4.- Follow his friends tips before search the source
5.- Be too graddy
6150  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: project : donate bitcoin on: September 11, 2018, 03:42:10 PM
Yes, is called bitcoin address...

lol, you don't need any source code to accept donations in your site or project, you only need a bitcoin address for that, you can go to blockchain.com and open a wallet, they will give you an addy, if you give that addy to some one (in text or qr) you will be able to get donations there.
6151  Other / Off-topic / Re: songs on: September 11, 2018, 03:38:11 PM
what is your favorite song and who is favorite singer

This is a hard one, tons of great music out there, and if i had to choose only one of them, then that song is Stair way to hip-hop heaven. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_NnAjtUsdY and i choose that one because it have it all, a nice guitar, great drop, classic song, just all...

And my favourite singer is a hard too, you can think some one is a good singer from his voice or from his songs, so, for voice is Alicia Keys, damn, that girl make love with her voice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Urdlvw0SSEc and for songs would be some one in Spanish like Jorge Negrete  Tongue
6152  Other / Archival / Re: Best Laptop for crypto? on: September 11, 2018, 03:21:21 PM
Can anyone recommend a  good laptop for crypto? In general i want to use it for: using exchanges, holding crypto (wallets), and running masternodes. I thinking of buying XPS 13 9360.

Please help, i need a dedicated laptop.

If the plan is to have crypto wallets, then you will need a laptop with some big disk space, lets remember how the bitcoin node is a lil more than 200Gb now days, and if you will have your nodes updated and running that mean you will leave the laptop running 24/7 and for that you will need a nice cooling system... That's why i recommend an Asus ROG.
6153  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening with cryptocurrency ?? on: September 11, 2018, 01:30:11 PM
Actually what happened to the market and BTC now? then what about the Altcoin situation that also follows a graph that continues to decline.
I think I have to stay calm for a while and spend time with my family at home.
 Lips sealed Lips sealed Huh

Well, last xmas bitcoin was at $20k, and we know nothing can always go up. So it was the time for the market adjustments, and that's what is happening right now, it's only market adjustments who can take even more than a year... If you see everything falling is because all the altcoins have their price based in bitcoin, so, lets say, if 1 BTC = $20k and 1 ETH = 0.1 BTC, that mean 1 ETH = $2k, but if bitcoin goes down to $10k now 1 ETH will be $1k, but at the same time will be the same 0.1 BTC. With this we can see how the bitcoin crash affect all the altcoins. And some alts have the double crash, the crash from BTC and the crash for the own coin.
6154  Local / Esquina Libre / Re: Patentar una APP on: September 11, 2018, 01:21:35 PM
6155  Local / Primeros pasos y ayuda / Re: Blockchain = Bitcoin? on: September 11, 2018, 01:06:36 PM

6156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fight between BTC and BCH communities drive away people from cryptos itself. on: September 11, 2018, 12:55:17 PM
We could see the fights between BTC and BCH community members accusing each other's coin and spreading negative thoughts about the crypto market itself as a whole. Each coin dev as well as its supporters wants to show the other coin down.It makes people who wish to enter crypto loose their faith in cryptos and stay back.

Come on guys, even if we wish or not we all are sailing in the same crypto environment boat.Don't accuse each other or else we all have to sink one day or another.

You must remember how bitcoin cash born... There was a group of guys who say 'We have solutions for bitcoin, we can make bigger blocks and we can have a more efficient mining engine...' So bitcoin devs say, Your ideas are a wast of time, leave the big guy work and you go back to play with your kids toys. Next step was the fork, BCH devs say, if you don't wan't to make those changes, no problem we will fork bitcoin and have a version of it running with our changes, that will prof to the world our version was better. And that was were the real fight start. They have reasons to hate each other and that will not change, is like Pepsi vs Coca cola, don't wait them to be friends.
6157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just to complicated for the average person to use.. on: September 11, 2018, 12:47:50 PM
1980: No one will ever have a personal computer it is to complicated to use and serves no purpose.

1990: No one will ever use the internet it's to complicated to use and serves no purpose have you heard of a video recorder.

From this we can understand that average people is getting smarter... i remember an aunt who wasn't able to play a cassette, she always ask us (the young boys) to put some music.  and i always think, how hard can be this shit? open the machine, put the cassette inside, push play. And while more i try to teach her, was harder for her. The fun fact here is no days that same Pearson uses Facebook on her PC, and Whatsapp on her phone.

So, technology is something really cool, who will make people learn about it just because that will drive them to a better life.
6158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Can Be More Efficient Than Bank Transactions on: September 10, 2018, 06:48:12 PM
If we talk about efficiency then sorry to disappoint you, but banks are more efficient than bitcoin by far, and let me explain you why:

From the source: https://www.quora.com/How-many-transactions-do-typical-banks-process-everyday

We see mastercard have 34000+ transactions/second and visa have 24000+, if we compare that wit bitcoin, we have blocks each 10 minutes with 2500 transactions/second aprox.  So bitcoin now days can't handle yet the high number of transactions we have with banks, That's why i say bitcoin cen't be more efficent than banks, but maybe that will change in the future.
6159  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Mascot on: September 10, 2018, 05:19:58 PM
It would be a great idea to create some type of bitcoin mascot character for advertising / promotional purposes.  Planters has the Mr. Peanut mascote, We should create something called Mr. Bit or something to attract young people to bitcoin.
Ok, what about this one.

I know that duck is from Disney and could be difficult to use it, but i think this one matches at 100% with a bitcoin mascot. Other option could be to design a new mascon from zero with this bitcoin community.
6160  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: If you're still in crypto, what's your background? on: September 10, 2018, 04:51:36 PM
Hi,

I'd like to know what most people here do in real life if you're willing to share  Smiley

Hello synaw.

I work for a casino as community assistant, i give live support on that site and 2 years ago i join to the devs team in a project called clambling, it was another casino based in clamcoin.

Now i like to give support for newbies in this forum and still thinking what will be my next project, but for sure will be crypto related.
