6141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: July 04, 2016, 06:55:52 AM
I find gambling is addicting due to the benefit of monetary gains. Finding a different obsession or addiction that provides monetary gains can replace the need for gambling. For example, devoting yourself to a gambling sites affiliate program, making youtube videos, streaming can be others ways to spend time on the internet while making money. Once you see the initial funds coming in, it can be just as addicting.
In other words money is the root cause of addiction and that is because humans are greedy and we all want easy and fast money. With that kind of mentality when applied in gambling, it would surely result to disaster that would wreck our life.

I also think so, that other people getting addicted in gambling because of the money involve with it. Once they experience to become a winner in just a day then on the next day they want to feel it again and they will gamble again to be a winner but sometimes the next day of your life you will become a loser.
That is the nature in gambling when you are looking for easy money, you will lose and that is hard to accept because we are so optimistic that we can still win more after our first try and success.
6142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your gambling stats? (Profit/Loss) on: July 04, 2016, 06:53:14 AM
Before Euro 2016 started I was happy sitting on pretty even lose-win ratio. But soon after tournament started I placed some very risky parlays and lost (how unexpected!)
So now I desperately need to break even before Euro will be over. Or I will suffer a loss. I guess it is time to place couple less risky bets!
You should not bet on parlay if you want to have a great advantage in sports betting, parlay is just for fun because your chances are low when betting on them and the more leg you have in one parlay will make you decrease your chances.
Parlay is good when you hit a good combination and although we have a little chance to win in parlay but that is better than putting our money in dice with a high payout, parlay is very exciting.
6143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: July 04, 2016, 06:47:28 AM
Gambling is risky game of money from which most people lose and just a few wins. Gambling too is addictive and fun especially when you're winning and that's why most people can't get away from gambling once they get in it.
In gambling you only win from the start then you lose whenever you win a certain amount.

Gambling itself isn't a sickness, just like having a beer, smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, having sex, lifting weights etc. are not sicknesses.

However, if you keep doing it to the point where it ruins your life (whatever it may be), your addictive behavior is a sickness, not gambling itself.

Gambling is just a game that involving money. I don't also think that gambling is considered a sickness. it is depend on a person who is playing it and  you were right that addictive behavior is a sickness.
Those who called gambling as sickness are only those people who has a bad experience in gambling and us who just play for fun we called gambling as the best entertainment.

Hahah! that's true, but I know all of us had a bad experience in gambling but it is depend of a person if they learn in having a bad experience or if they just really feel disappointed after losing.
I have a bad experience but overall I am already happy now. I have learned my lessons that I cannot win in gambling so I stick to play only for sole purpose of entertainment.
6144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: July 04, 2016, 06:45:23 AM
Looks like the upward trend is continuing. It shakes a little down but then goes back up strong, lets hope we can keep this up till we over take ICO price Smiley

also still number 1 in Volume at Bittrex..fuck why doesn't Poloniex just add it already, surely they must be missing out on so much volume

Maybe they waiting for the release of full node to public  Tongue

I see the today's trading volume on Bittrex is in the ~500 BTC range. If Polo had that volume, Waves would have been in the top #5 alt trading for today. I'm sure Poloniex wouldn't want to say no to that. So, I'm more thinking that they want to verify the code some more or that Waves has not been added due to other Polo internal procedures/policies.
I just lost my hope on waves to be added in polo, to be honest I was expecting that to happen but it seems like the probability is very low. I don't know but let's just wait and see.

6146  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: June 27, 2016, 06:09:21 AM
I bought this year, is relatively late, and I would like to buy a breakfast.
It is never too late man because the price is fluctuating and bitcoin is full of surprises, so if you believe that the price now will be higher in the years to come then buying now is worth.
6147  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: June 27, 2016, 06:05:05 AM
I'm going with yes on this one, due to the fact that people included this in BTC in order to maintain stability so, yeah!
With the halving that is happening next month the price should rise in order for the miners to have a profitable business, and because of this it will benefit us holders enjoying a profit on a short term investment.
6148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: June 27, 2016, 05:58:07 AM
Today i went on to 0.06+ from 0.031 depo playing safe margins when

HIT ME!!and made me cry like this:-

Whats your loss story?Share here

Gambling makes me cry  when i make .09 btc from .02 btc and then i lost all btc in next two turns... And after that i don't plat gambling yet Tongue
That is what you get when you rely so much on your luck, just remember that every spin there is an advantage with the house so only if you are lucky you will win and the longer you play your chances decreases, no need to debate that because that is the reality.
6149  Local / Pamilihan / Re: coins.ph discussion thread on: June 27, 2016, 05:53:30 AM
6150  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: June 27, 2016, 05:34:00 AM
The bitcoin will stay rising for sure without any doubts, the bitcoin has a great future and it will rise to a very high amount in my eyes.
its just a matter of time before it will all happens...
thats true in my opinion, the price of the bitcoin is going to grow pretty soon, i hope the price will keep on going up
The halving will not fail you mate, you just need to trust your instinct and put more money to buy bitcoins to have a good earnings by the end of halving, it is going to be a dump after the halving but the price would not be affected that much.
6151  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 27, 2016, 05:15:20 AM
If youre income here in the forum for a month which came from sig campaign  is higher than your current job salary, then it would be better to quit from it,and look for another job that pays much higher than your monthly income by earning bitcoins.
How would be the income of signature campaign be higher than the income in real life, to tell you man signature campaign is just for side job and you cannot rely it to finance you daily expenses in life.
I think job in signature campaign only provide income per month was 0.2 BTC the largest that I saw. it costs $ 120 per month? I think everyone has a salary greater than the signature campaign? IMO
yeah I also think that the signature campaign only as a side job that very profitable

I dont think it would be better than making a stable income but it definitely could help you out a lot with just secondary funds or if you really needed it for a bill or something to scrounge up really easily to get that one thing that you need paid off.

Good luck using it as a full time job though you will never make enough unless you dont pay for living expenses.

Bitcoin is always good as an secondary income and it can never replace primary income  for sure, better try to earn from both of them to have good and secured life ahead.

That's true, because it is also hard and risky if you are going to depend with bitcoin. But of course if bitcoin is going to offer good job for the people and have an assurance of having regular job and get paid with bitcoin.
I think many people will shift to full time bitcoin worker.
There a lot of employers here that offers to pay bitcoins, however the demand is only high for programming and other related skills so if don't have the skills it would be hard for you but if you are good in finance so trading and investment will work for you, a bit risky but worth a shot if you want bigger profit.
Yeah! and if you have a great potential to fit on the job offered it would be easy for you to earn online and you don't need to comply with the strict rules like a normal company does because the rules are simple, you can maximize your earnings because you can manage your time properly working at home.
6152  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: June 27, 2016, 05:10:51 AM
Yeah, when trading always remember the saying that "don't put all your eggs in basket" which is really true. If you don't want to lose in one thing, better divide your investments as long as you can to decrease the chance of losing them as not investments are really profitable.

Exactly. All of this could only mean to follow certain rules in order to make a good investment. Speaking of which, I have compiled a simple list which tells the basics of investing into Bitcoins or any other alt coin.

They are as follow:

1. Buy Low (preferably in small chunks)
2. Sell High
3. Diversify your investments into other alt coins (not putting all your money into Bitcoin)
4. Sell some of your BTC into Gold.
5. Take 10% of your profits into savings
6. Invest in a PoS coin with a high interest (stake) rate like Diamond. (25% APR)
7. Never invest what you can't afford to lose.

If you follow the above rules, you will do fine and make decent profits (apart from making a smart investment)

Just my opinion.  Grin
How successful is things you mention? I might want to follow this guide but I want to know what percentage will you fail and what are the common problems I might encounter whenever I used it.

You will never know what is the output if you will not put yourself in an actual situation. Also if you want follow any ways stated here, you can come up with a quite accurate answer by yourself.

Just remember to take your investment strategy seriously.
I dont know how to probably start cause I dont even know what that you guys called "Low" price thats stated there in the first place. And I barely dont know how can you assure to make a profit in altcoins because most of them is going dead.

In my case, there's no such thiing as exact price to be considered as low price. First of all, bitcoin price moves actively even for minutes when there is a trend. So how can you determined what is the low price to consider? You need to know some factors e.g current bitcoin news, average price in the last 24h, 12h , 30m, reading others troll's speculation even that is a sh*t (of course don't take it seriously) etc. And after knowing those factors you must need, trust, removing those regrets, brave enough to face the output after investing, and ability to pull the trigger when the waves are not going to the way you want.

If you have hardtime doing altcoin trading, focus for now bitcoin to usd trading.
Yeah! since we are still in the accumulation stage and we have not seen a stable price, any price will be considered low or high for a certain individual and it should be base on his preference on how he is going to deal with the price in favor of him to get the opportunity.
6153  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: June 27, 2016, 05:07:40 AM
It is already an international currency, the thing you want to clarify can be considered fine, but it is not possible currently as you need to exchange your coins for fiat. There are places though, where people have started accepting bitcoins, but that won't make a big difference unless it becomes acceptable all over the world.
Do you think the meaning of international itself, so you could say bitcoin already an international currency? Huh

YEah bitcoin is already an international currency technically because it is used all over the world, there is not one place that i know of that has not used bitcoin EVER in their entirety. Bitcoin is already an international currency.

Thanks, good luck building your bitcoins.

LITERALLY, bitcoin is an international currency.

On the other hand, bitcoin doesn't used much actively like other international currency.

But if people will treat this currency as currency and not on investment purposes somehow it will take bitcoin as a global currency.
Exactly, but with the present situation the massive adoption still not happening and only when that happens we can witness that price of bitcoins to be great, we need volume to make bitcoins sustainable and to improve the going concern of the bitcoin.
6154  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: June 27, 2016, 05:03:58 AM
Have not really spent a lot the past few days because I am just observing how the price will be by the time the halving is here. I think that's what most of us here are doing, just waiting for whatever happens in the next couple of weeks. Whatever the case, I'm preparing myself for a bumpy ride and would do what I think is best at that time.
I will only spend my bitcoins after the halving, I will not let this opportunity to slip away, the price is dancing but more likely in the next few days it will start to rise due to the halving event is coming close already.
6155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: June 27, 2016, 05:00:39 AM
Staying away from Gambling is not a small matter, but you can come out if you resolutely decided means. Yes for example if you addicted to any game in your Mobile means if you want to stop playing that game means what you do you will choose other game to play so here you can forget your previous game quickly. Like that try other thing and addict to that then you can easily quit gambling.
It is just a matter of discipline, everything in this world that gives us entertainment is addicted and to tell you gambling is the riskiest form of entertainment that involves money to make money, since addiction is bad then your chances to lose is naturally high.
6156  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: June 27, 2016, 04:56:24 AM

But for now we cannot see major merchants that has adopted bitcoins yet because they are hesitant due to the unstable price, at this early stage it is only the investors and traders game that we can witness and for me that is good for us early adopters if we are saving bitcoins for the future.

It's not with unstable price why merchants don't adopted bitcoin as payment method since overall 1btc is equal to 1btc. Bitcoin price is matter in some cases but on the other hand, they will do transactions in bitcoin only.

It's just that demands here are not priority by them since they care for most people that uses regularly the other payment option.

The unstable market price of bitcoin seems the barricade for merchants to accept bitcoin as their payment processor because they dont really want to lose money if the price fall down and for today bitcoins market is not really known by all people thats why we cannot really see store accepts it.
Exactly, merchants concern is not investment as they just want to convert their funds in a daily basis, when they will adopt that only means the price is stable and next to that is the people will consistently use the blockchain.
6157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 26, 2016, 01:42:16 PM
BTC is dropping but WAVES still same, that means WAVES against dollar value is decreasing same as Bitcoin.
Let us just relax for a moment and observed the market since the good new about waves was release a while ago, maybe when I wake up tomorrow waves price will start to climb up again.
6158  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: June 26, 2016, 10:22:17 AM
The halving will be a good thing because you can make good profit with holding and that is why its positive.
The price will rise to a higher amount due to the halving that is coming next month.
More likely to rise because base on what we are seeing the last few days although the price fall back a bit but it is starting to rise again. With that movement that is a positive trend to qualify our prediction.
6159  Economy / Economics / Re: How good are you at managing your money on: June 26, 2016, 10:18:25 AM
Well Im not good and not bad at managing my money. I always trade my bitcoins to fiat and save some and I don't buy things I don't really need. I also store some btc well some percent of what I have every week for big pumps like the one happening these days.
Good strategy I think, if we are working with a real pay on our day job, we just need to think of spending those amount from our salary. We can consider our earnings with bitcoins as our savings and even make this as our retirement.
6160  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: June 26, 2016, 10:10:21 AM
You shouldnt have bitcoin instead of cash unless you're investing because you have to have a bunch of time to waste and kill to watch your investment grow unless you really TRUST that investment to grow without patrolling it constantly.

Good luck and do not turn your check into bitcoins.
I will only use bitcoins fully when I can see all my needs in the internet, I know bitcoins requires internet to transact. I hope in the future many merchants will adopt, right now the real benefits of bitcoins is thru investment.
