6141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to use ETH on: April 27, 2021, 04:47:28 PM
Becoming a store of value, that's what I think of ETH. Just as bitcoin, the value is getting higher and there are more people believing on it that it's one of the best altcoin to be held as a long term crypto to hold. There's no doubt that due to that fact, there are more transactions that happens on its chain that causes it to increase in fees. And aside from that, the popularity of NFT have also contributed to it and that's the next trend that's being coped by ETH.

What I think is that cases like these have became isolated. And for those who are risking their sports career and have no choice be involved on it are really forced due to those reasons and other management issues that they've found.

It's only an isolated if the league will not make a serious action on this, they maybe are trying to protect their reputation without knowing it will only make this kind of activity to spread in the league, and people will slowly loss their trust on the league especially the advertisers which usually gives a good amount for the success of the league. you know, reputation really matters a lot and they need to protect it.
Reputation does matters and that's why a league's management are getting rid of it as much as they can and, as soon as they've found out that something like this existed.
But hopefully, most of these corruptions and sell outs won't happen anymore in bigger leagues that we've used to follow because their following are really high and they know how huge the fan base they have in the world.

Newbies out there how many of you guys are so addicted to their smartphone since they entered crypto space? Ive never ever let go of a day without checking anything related to crypto online lol, I'm sure there are many like me out there, I'm doing this 24/7 365 lol and I'm simply loving it haha
It becomes a habit now to check the prices from time to time specially if you've invested that much money on it. I've got that feeling too when I was new and I think that's pretty normal when you're too excited to check how much you've gained or if you've lose some value on your portfolio already. Well, what matters is that you're enjoying what you do and the decision that you've done upon investing to cryptocurrencies made you satisfy and happy.
6144  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Instant BTC & ETH withdraws | Live games & Slots! | VIP | on: April 26, 2021, 09:54:19 AM
Great to see that Duelbits has added crash into the list of games. I've checked it out and liked the animation of it through a skyrocket.  Tongue

May I also suggest giving the users the option to disable animation if they just want to stick with the numbers? I don't particularly hate it. It's just a preference.
I find the animation seems good but your suggestion is also good for having an option to turn it on and off.

Sometimes the punishment is really a problem, on some countries, when someone caught cheating in sports, a cheater will just be fine on or ban, there's no criminal liability, if that punishment will be serious, then I guess these violators will think twice before doing it.
That's right, the punishment for some countries don't have the teeth and they're just going to pay the fine and they're going to render the days that's punished to them upon suspension.
Those punishments are easy to take because they're just going to pay and if their suspended, they'll just go into training and they're going to be back soon.
Maybe the cases is not so rampant yet, but the moment they see that it's been widely abuse, then probably they will amend the rules to put a more serious punishment on anyone who violate the law particularly the "game fixing" which could involve big money especially if its a big market in bookies.
What I think is that cases like these have became isolated. And for those who are risking their sports career and have no choice be involved on it are really forced due to those reasons and other management issues that they've found.

It seems that in most countries the punishment is just not enough severe enough. In my opinion when caught cheating there should always be a lifetime sports ban and a civil charge to recover the last 2 years salary. It can't be that the athletes are being paid millions and break the trust of the fans like that. Even Valve lowered their punishments on cheaters and will let them play again after a few years. There shouldn't be new chances if you are caught. They are already lucky not to go to prison.
Yes, their ruling isn't that much too scary and needs to sharpen the teeth of their law regards to this issue.

Quite rare but mostly if it is a celebrity saying it, it would most likely be in the favor of the OP because surely many other investors would follow the hype and investing to it, pumping up the demand then it would just go boom.
.... and of course dump in the end.
Yes, there are celebrities that have been using their popularity to shill and declare what coin should their followers buy blindly. That's the sad part because the decision of many have been placed to that opinion of that celebrity which might have been paid by the coin devs itself to advertise their token and make it pump. As usual, after getting some pump after advertising it, the dump is likely to follow and it's one of the hardest days for those who followed blindly and didn't take profit.
6147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW IMPORTANT IS STOP LOSS on: April 25, 2021, 05:07:38 PM
Not that many I guess and with the few that don't use it, your friend is part of it. There are traders that don't want to be instructed by other people and that's why they don't listen to the advises of other traders. It's very important and usual to see traders using stop loss but if they don't do that, they'll probably learn the lesson in a hard way. Because they have no way to stop the losses automatically but maybe we don't see them do it manually but that's likely in a panic manner.

If that's for real and you've followed a stranger's advise and you got lucky, that's good for you. But you rarely have that kind of luck and fate through listening or reading a stranger's advise on the internet.
It's risky and dangerous if you don't have an idea what you're trying to buy. But you have to remember that the forum isn't only for those advise and it's more than that.
6150  Economy / Speculation / Re: We entered a bear market earlier than expected on: April 24, 2021, 01:57:55 PM
When BTC tops 100K people will still be calling doom and gloom if it pulls back to $75K.
Exactly. They would still call it out that it's the end of bitcoin and there's more tomorrow on it. We see the same situation as always when bitcoin drops. Even the drop is tolerable, they would assume that it will never ever recover anymore. But in that matter, they've sold already at loss and there's no way for them to retrieve what they've sold because they're too scared of the market. The aim for $100k is likely and that's the next ATH where many would likely to sell.
6151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: April 23, 2021, 10:43:24 AM
This is a powerful trend. Betting plans is actually a good management plan and having a budget before betting would help limit breakdown after a loss.

I prefer it if what is lost is what one can afford to loose on a day to day base. Pretty cool its nice to have a plan and stick to it
And that includes your time, how long you should be staying whether your not yet out of funds or you've won a lot. There's no sense of enjoyment for others if the time will be the basis and limit.
But we have our different satisfaction and plans. So, if you plan to stay for long, you should determine how long you want to manage yourself gambling and what's your plan on it while having the budget with you.
At that time, it must be respected, it means how long you have to stay in the game during gambling and management is very important because in gambling you don't always feel like running out of money there, there are no limits if there is no management, therefore I think this pattern is a must. applied regularly so that we know that time always wastes big money in gambling but if we win maybe we can be happy but what is possible as long as we continue to win?

I want to lose or win, still, time is important because, for me, asset management in gambling must be properly disciplined so that it doesn't run out because of greed.
There are no limits if there's no management but in reality, the gambler is only taking chances and understands the position that he's in. It's one of the hardest positions and decisions ever because you didn't even come up with a plan from the start.
And having an amount of time being used is part of the plan, if you don't have such and if you're at a worse position, it will get more worse.
6152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ''HELP , SUGGESTIONS ," on: April 23, 2021, 09:37:26 AM
I will choose the top altcoins aside from bitcoin. Altcoins like Ethereum, Bnb, Litecoin, XLM. Actually if you are just looking for altcoins to invest, there are many of them and you will be tired choosing from all of them. If you think that you've got enough bitcoin and you're willing now to expand in altcoins, go for the top ones.
6153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not made to apply taxes on it - BTC economic model is different on: April 23, 2021, 08:23:27 AM
Taxes are permanent, as long as it is a gain being made by a citizen, the government wouldn't care if it is from bitcoin or any cryptocurrency.
The economic model for bitcoin is different said by you, still, if it is converted into fiat and it is a profit, it would be considered as a gain and that is when the taxing starts. We still need cash and somehow we have to convert it which will give us a gain which is taxable.

definitely a great point to bring on.
time is a scarce resource, its our most limited and precious asset, better to spend it wisely.

OP even brings up the possibility of taking debt to gamble
one should never do that.

never invest more than what you can afford to loose.
I can't agree more with what you've said. While our time is very limited, it all depends how we'll spend it and we have our time differences and obligations to do things that we have to do. And as for those gamblers that would want to loan money for gambling, they should not put that into option. If there's no money to gamble, they have to wait until their own money comes so there's no problem that they'll experience if they lose.
6155  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happen to bitcoin price? on: April 22, 2021, 07:30:55 PM
I don't think that there's any connection of the sold stocks of Coinbase into its stock market. That's a different market compare to bitcoin's market.

It's concerning part that Bitcoin is dropping, so is the bull run over for Bitcoin? Of course keeps up and down not a new thing, we have had corrections before and we will have corrections again. Big companies already invested millions to BTC and they will bring the price up, won't let down easily.
It is not a concerning thing if it's dropping. Because if it hasn't dropped, it's hard to know when the pump would stop for bitcoin and we're in a guessing game when it shall correct. But with this correction, this gives the entry for the investors and an idea that the upcoming recovery is big.

But is it possible that in the future they will empty my wallet due to the ban?
Nope.
Your balance will remain there but you will not be able to access if you're going to use your normal IP from that country. Export your seeds as said on that picture and move your funds to another wallet that supports Ethereum. There are plenty of wallets that don't have jurisdiction issues.
6157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin the solution to financial freedom on: April 22, 2021, 11:13:12 AM
Bitcoin helps to make business strive since it has no daily limit of transfer and its activities are not regulated nor controlled by any financial institutions, businesses grow fastest when buyer and saler decides to used bitcoin as a medium of transaction
Financially free if it's pertaining to the investment and holdings that you own in bitcoin. Specially for the early investors, they're now living financially free and they can transact as much as they can and they can sale if they want to at any price because they've bought at a cheap price. But most of those that I've read and shared their stories, they have no plans of selling because they know and believes that the future of bitcoin is great and will make all of us achieve better status and become more financially free.

6159  Economy / Exchanges / Re: question about Flexible Savings 5.97% (USDT) on: April 21, 2021, 07:52:03 PM
They're like the banks that would put an APY but there's a confusion because they may look like that you're good on that rate that can be earned through certain period of days only, not annual.
There are other the same offer that could earn you 10% per annum for USDT like Abra. The rates varies from the platform that you use. Note that most of the same offers are rates annually.

Usually if it's a connection issue, it's about your internet connection. But I agree to the guy above that you should click that first and know what's the real problem.
There's nothing going to happen if you're going to click that "here" button and know what are the possible the cause of it.
