I concur. I just read an article yesterday that a lot of institutional investors are bullish on blockchain. Many of them are still silent on cryptocurrencies but at least they acknowledge the technology behind it.

How long are you willing to wait for your investment to bear fruit? It's not the first time that the launch of ethereum 2.0 was delayed (due to delays on constantinople). If it is okay for you to buy now at $100 range and wait until 2020, then investing $5K tomorrow would be a fine decision.

I am not sure about China ruling cryptocurrencies with all the bans they have there plus they already have their own platforms running digital payments. Maybe they can become number one adopters of blockchain technology.

Most scams related to cryptocurrency came from ICOs. Focus the regulation to them. Regulating the entire market could hinder its growth.
