I didn't ask my availabe merits, but my sMerits. I have 108 merits but this doesn't mean that I have 54 sMerits.

I earned 264 merits so that I have 132 smerit to send out but as you see, I only have 48 available smerit to send out. I sent out most of my smerit. but why do you think that you have send out most of your available smerit, when you have 48 to send, it is something about 35% from all available, so it is not that you have send all, or rather most, it is closer to a half i did not look much on that earlier, but it is an interesting subject to see how users are sending their sMerit |

Since I find myself short of a few merits every now and then, I like to check the merit history of the users I intend to merit. It is not an in-depth check. All I do is check if the users distribute their sMerits the same way they receive them. If the user whose post I initially wanted to merit is a merit hoarder, that is enough for me to change my mind and look for other posts.
Although Merits are supposed to be a reward for good posts, I like to see that the users who receive them are participating in its distribution as well. If you couldn't care less about rewarding others for their efforts, I am not going to reward you.
The question is very simple: Do you do any checks before you award users with merits or not?
interesting question, i rarely provide merits to other users, but there is not much to share so keeping merits for quality posts and informations that are providing some news or benefits, when readed it is always hard to manage scarce resource, but i do not look at other users merit history when want to give merit, simply give merit, if the post is good and provide valuable info for me/community |

Actually, etherum has always been the king with no altcoin matching its influence or dominance, and more importantly its wide range feature of being extremely easy to use. Bnb and okb can only try, i don't see an exchange token battling etherum for dominance yeah, for me as well, i do not see BNB or OKB as competition for ETH, maybe some other coins and networks, but i do not expect that centralized exchange coins could de-throne ETH and Ethereum network, it would be a shame, and probably not good for decentralized applications as well |

I don't know how much people are wanting to invest tnow in projects that aren't related to defi or similar. There were a lot of defi projects that seem to have come through or are promising in their development people are focusing on.
It's probably sadly a similar number of legitimate projects as we normally have and just fewer scams or projects have been absorbed by other things. Also I don't know if we have gaps to fill yet in the crypto sector...
Yes, even I have witnessed numerous defi projects in last 6 months and I was really impressed with this project named GEOMA which has a promising whitepaper, but as you have mentioned we still have gaps to fill in the crypto sector wherein we need more diversified projects because right now we see dozens of defi project just like how we used to see payment related projects in the past. but, as one can notice on coingecko or similar websites, number of listed or followed projects is on the rise, we are now above 7000 and still counting, with daily increase, so i would not say that there is no new projects, rather that they are doing different type of marketing, and bounties on bitcointalk are mostly reserved for scams, with position exclusions, but they are rare, or superrare |

Baš sam i ja razmišljao kako je to zapravo prilično mala nagrada. Hakeri obično rade u grupama i ako imaš grupu od 10 hakera, svaki dobije $500. To je kikiriki za njih... da, cak i manji projekti daju vece nagrade za bug bounty nego sto je $5k, s obzirom na vrednost projekta i broj projekata koji se vrte na Ethereum mrezi, mora se reci da je neozbiljno |
