6182  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Por 20$ te enseño a abrir un Wallet on: September 05, 2018, 08:14:15 PM

Is begging merits prohibited? feel like this is the only way to me  Cry Cry Cry

Beggin merits isn't allowed, you don't have to beg in life to get things, you need to offer quality. Make a good post quality and get merits, make good jobs quality and get bitcoins. That's how life work, begging you only will get to nowhere, so, you can start searching some nice bitcoin related articles online and bring them to discussion on the forum. But i'm not talking about copy paste, i'm talking about a real talk. If you find something interesting share it with us, share your point of view and listen to other people point of views. This way you will learn a lot about btc while grow up in the community.

1485000 sat to show the private key while the prize is only 500000 sat. House edge 200%

This game is a mix between experimenting with the Lightning Network, gambling and using any technical knowledge you might have  Grin

My technical knowledge tell me to play games with a 1% house edge. Is ok to experiment with gambling, but if you want people playing with you don't be greedy  Wink

At end i like the concept of the game, i used to make giveaways just posting the privatekeys on chats, but for some people still hard to import those private keys.
6186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China plans closing Bitcoin mining. on: September 05, 2018, 06:50:37 PM
If i'm not wrong china is the country with more miners, that could be a hard hit for the mining networks.

But we know how china work, if they get their miners blocked then they will send the miners to other country and for sure Russia want those making money machines  Wink
6187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin must be regulated! on: September 05, 2018, 06:42:48 PM
You all should read the white paper of bitcoin, there Satoshi describe a decentralized form of payment that would allow the community to govern itself autonomously and without heirarchy.

No one can regulate bitcoin because it have it's own rules... Maybe some goverment's with hide transactions taxes with 'regulation', but they will not have the power over bitcoin.

Let me share some sources with you guys, maybe you learn something about Bitcoin:

6188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why Bitcoins is the safest system on: September 04, 2018, 10:04:26 PM
The reason is because he uses blockchain technology. Blockchain can be said to be the server of every bitcoin transaction and it is very decentralized. No one can break into blockchain. Why ? because that is an impossible thing to do.

You almost got the point here, but you forget to talk about double spends, the cherry on the blockchain cake is the way it manage the double spend transactions, if some one spend the same coin to multiple address, only one will confirm and let the blockchain keep growing without erros, that's why bitcoin is the safest system. Some banks already have a double spend problems and the bad way of manage it makes them lose tons of money.
6189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum computer could kill bitcoin on: September 04, 2018, 04:28:48 PM
The same hashing algorithm (SHA256) used to encrypt Bitcoin is also used by the banks and military.

If it's cracked by quantum computers, Bitcoin is the least of our worries.

As you say, all of them use SHA256, but lets remember SHA1 was already vulned, now we use sha256 and feel secure, but there are some more complex SHA's now days, we have SHA512 and SHA3, and they was made for the moment that some one can exploit SHA256 just like it happened with SHA1.

Let me leave a nice article here about what i'm talking about:

6190  Other / Archival / Re: How can Bitcoin helps the world's economic? ✅ on: September 04, 2018, 03:03:00 PM
Bitcoin can help the world economic by multiple ways:

1.- Blockchain Technology. The most efficient way to move money.
2.-Decentralization. There is no bank or any institution behind it, that way no one can freeze the money.
3.-Bitcoin doesn't create money from nowhere. Banks have the loans business, The formula: Money + Time = Interest, that mean they create money and that will be impossible to see with bitcoin.

Yesterday bitcoin dark was close to 0.002btc, today it hit 0.014btc, is a crazy bump and maybe some one on the forum can explain what happen, what was the factors who send this coin to the moon, was only a whale or a big company adopting bitcoin dark?

Share what you think and let us figure out the source of the bump.

Source: https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_btcd
check BTCD official twitter their tweets are full about Komodo, the last update said that BTCD was swapped for Komodo and the whole team moved on to Komodo, I think BTCD project is dead and the current price growth is only a pump scheme

Well, if this is right then is a market trap, maybe was the same devs who bump it to sell it high while newbies ride the wave. Now that +300% looks tentative for all those who like trading, for sure some people make nice money with that but lets remember, to have winners we will have losers too. Let's be careful

Thanks for your replies guys, after reading all of them i realized there is not a big risk at all. I was thinking a really powerful computer could bruteforce bitcoin, but looks like i was wrong, maybe that's possible but not with quantum computers, lets wait other 10 years, to see the new generation computers, maybe those ones would be the real risk.  Tongue

6196  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitcoin gambling and earn on: September 03, 2018, 07:07:00 PM
what i doing to make site good?

You need to explain your provably fair system to the users, other way the site is rigged if it doesn't have this clear, if you make a good explanation about the provably fair system then you will get the trust from the users.

Other thing you need to cover is prof of bankroll, if the casino doesn't have a nice amount of money, then why people will risk their money at your site?

If you cover these two things, then you will only have to add a nice design.

i want to know if you like anime
and what is your favorite

Yes i like it, i like the science fiction and anime have a lot of it. My favourite are those one on a steam punk ambient, like ghost in the shell.

Most of our technology comes from science fiction now days, that's why is great to see always those crazy ideas and concepts the anime bring us. I know not all of them will become true, but lot of them already are a reality.

Edit: Serious mode: How long does it usually take for one to mine a dogecoin with my hardware?

You need better hardware to mine doge. First of all take a look to the hardware comparison: https://litecoin.info/index.php/Mining_hardware_comparison

Then you can use this site to see how much profit you will get with your hardware: https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/dogecoin-mining-calculator

Remember mining will put your hardware running to the top, taking down the hardware life. So, if you see doge isn't a good business to mine with your hardware, then try with other coin like LTC  Wink
6199  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proof that Proof of Stake is either extremely vulnerable or totally centralised on: September 03, 2018, 06:19:44 PM
I read some good points on this thread, the attack isn't easy at all, but is possible. And the attacker doesn't need more than 51% of the network to make the attack, he only need the old addys, and as you say, this is a big vuln based on the main characteristics of the PoS system.

Honestly i don't think we will see this attack, but is good to know it's possible, maybe that way developers can think about what to fix in the next update.

its been half of 2018 and we have seen a lot hacks issue in crypto industry, exchanges, pools, traders everybody is being affected by this hacks.

what is the solution as i see hackers will not leave this chance as this industry is still in development mode( early stage).

is DEX are solutions for traders, let me know !
BTC

Hackers will not stop, just because money is a tentative target for them. So, any engine involving cryptos will always be a target for hackers, online wallets, exchangers, casinos, etc. Each one should look for their own security, for you as bitcoin user there are some ways to manage your bitcoins by the secure way, but when we talk about security of a online system things are more complex.

The good news is there are lot of White hat hackers searching for those vulns and helping to fix them before the bad guys found them and exploit those vulns.
