6181  Other / Serious discussion / Is Merkel the slave of the British? on: March 23, 2018, 11:26:47 AM
This seems to be a rather strange question, but I've been reading a few articles recently that have set me thinking. Merkel is obviously not pro European, as she would not have encouraged the destruction of the southern European countries if she was. She doesn't appear to have German interests in her heart either. Her immigration policy, and reluctance to support German industry support this idea,

So what is all this about her support for Britain. Obviously it doesn't refer to the British people, or even British industry, but there are several British figures who seem to be involved with the puppet masters of the world - Blair, Cameron, Margaret Thatcher, Theresa May, Richard Branson and many others. It is these who may be controlling Merkel on behalf of Soros, Obama, Jamie Dimon and the Rothschilds. The events that turned me towards this idea are the support for the extreme and irrational actions of Theresa May over the Skripal poisoning, and the refusal to support the Belt and Road Initiative.

What do you think? Is this idea deep in the world of fantasy, or is there the possibility of some truth behind it?

Do you think it would be better to rename the bad block rather than delete it? I'm not sure how SSDs work, but in the past when using HDDs, I've found it better to rename the file to prevent a bad sector on the disk being reused,
6183  Other / Meta / Re: I'm reluctant to award merit in threads started by me. on: March 23, 2018, 09:38:37 AM

I have read posts were users really make a great effort in their comments and their posts are even better or atleast on par with the OP but they dont get merits for them because people instinctively tend to give their merits to the OP. Of course it is not a rule but you have to agree that is what many people will do.

I don't think it is an instinctive reaction. I know that I have started to read threads, and become fed up with all the tedious and repetitive low value posts that follow the first couple of replies. I often leave the thread at this point. I agree that this is unfair to the quality posters who arrive later in the thread. The solution is moderation and deletion of the worthless ( in my opinion ) posts, but this may be counter to the policy of the forum.
6184  Other / Serious discussion / Re: ICO unethical behaviours - abusing your bounty hunters - name & shame on: March 23, 2018, 09:16:16 AM
My inital attraction to Wax came from my reading of an introductory paper. They stated that it was possible to store records of virtual assets on their blockchain. This related to gaming awards such as armour and weapons, but I wondered if it could be used to record domain name ownership to assist in sales and transfers. I don't understand the concept of CryptoKitties, and I will confess that the name put me off a bit. Smiley
6185  Other / Meta / Re: Does giving merit to your company isn't allowed? on: March 23, 2018, 09:08:43 AM
You need to step back and think about the purpose of the merit system. It is designed to improve the quality of the forum, and not to help families to increase their presence on the boards. Nepotism is counter to the interests of the forum and its members. Merit is meant to reward the quality of your posting, and not the fecundity of your parents. It may not be banned on the boards, but many awarders of merit will put you on ignore to avoid helping you to reduce the quality of the forum.
6186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Activity and Post numbers - what is the difference? on: March 22, 2018, 07:35:26 PM

I noticed the difference in a number of Activity and Post in my profile. What is the difference between these two? I have also noticed that my posts are increasing as I am posting more topics. However, my activity remains the same as it used to be a week ago. Please explain why? Should the number of Activity be the same or it does not matter much? Thank you in advance!

The first thing you should do when you join a forum is to read the rules, then read the pinned threads ( stickies ) that you find at the top of each of the boards. You will find some comprehensive explanations of merit, posts and activity there.
6187  Other / Meta / Re: End of newbie restrictions; ban changes on: March 22, 2018, 07:23:33 PM
Nice

We really don't appreciate you bumping a year old thread with a useless post. I've put you on ignore for doing it, and I hope that other merit awarders will do the same. That will stop you ever ranking up.
6188  Other / Serious discussion / Re: ICO unethical behaviours - abusing your bounty hunters - name & shame on: March 22, 2018, 06:06:03 PM
What is the current situation with WAX. It seemed to have some potential for use in the sale of domain names, and I was going to look into it for this.
I thought that OPskins was quite large and established, and I would have expected them to create a decent crypto.
6189  Other / Meta / Re: Only 5 merit to Member !!! on: March 22, 2018, 04:37:56 PM
It's called Bitcoin Talk.
You have to be mistaken.
The domain name is bitcointalk.org.
The forum's name is "Bitcoin Forum", or so it says in the title (up left). Tongue

I thought that might confuse the OP though. We don't want him defecting to Bitcoin Cash do we?
6190  Other / Meta / Re: Merit [NEW] on: March 22, 2018, 04:33:38 PM
Obviously the merit system isn't preventing spamming.

I've put you on ignore for creating redundant duplicate threads.
6191  Other / Meta / Re: Only 5 merit to Member !!! on: March 22, 2018, 04:31:22 PM
By reading some of the threads on a forum you might have heard of - It's called Bitcoin Talk.
6192  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Will gold and silver coins return as currency? on: March 22, 2018, 03:58:51 PM
The gold and silver coin value is defined by the government , not by the gold itself . After all , it is  cash alike so that it is non-sense .

In the very past , gold coin value is defined by the gold value. Gold is regarded as important production material .

That's not completely true. The British Britannia has a value of £100 as a coin for legal tender, but the one off price from the Royal Mint is £986.04 today. The Shanghai gold exchange is quoting prices for physical gold.
6193  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos has been fooled! on: March 22, 2018, 03:32:26 PM

Will there be any form of assassination attempt on those in power though Grin

No but there has been a PM leak, and it would appear that the Russians rigged the election of DT1 members. They also have a plan to flood the boards with forged merits.
6194  Other / Meta / Re: How long will merit exist? on: March 22, 2018, 02:49:55 PM
I just only wondered about it.

It can't be deleted, it's on the block chain - it blocks spammers and useless posters from ranking up. Smiley
6195  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos has been fooled! on: March 22, 2018, 02:39:55 PM

@Jet Cash. I can't wait for the TV series.

Is this the replacement for the Lauda thread, I see that has dropped off page 1.

btw - I heard that Jet Cash doesn't declare the free coffee that he gets at McDonalds, so he doesn't pay tax on it.

He's just won a fruit bag in the Monopoly contest there. Is a fruit bag like a TV?
6196  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos has been fooled! on: March 22, 2018, 02:22:26 PM
This place is getting worse than the White House. Smiley
6197  Other / Meta / Re: Spammer?? on: March 22, 2018, 02:12:02 PM
I think that anyone who creates a new thread about merits at this stage can be considered to be a spammer.
6198  Other / Meta / Re: Earning Merit Point in Bitcointalk on: March 22, 2018, 12:55:07 PM
I think it is going to be very hard for a lot of people to get merit points   a lot of people are here because they are interested in projects and wish to comunicate about that project and do not have the skills to write what is considered to be a quality posts  so these people who have been quite active will be penilised and never gain a higher ranking which i find to be a little bit unreasonable

They can always post on their local language boards, that's why they were created.
6199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The english language improvement thread on: March 22, 2018, 12:40:49 PM

Punctuation is not my strongest point, so you may need a second opinion on my post. Smiley
