Where do you edit that code? I'll compile it on linux and test it right away, have 10Mh to throw at it so should be tested within an hour.

Guys just wondering how serious this coin is?

Will it get on any exchange and can anyone estimate it's value for me.

The value is over 9000 already.

Also just noticed -- his example conf file clearly gives away that he owns a mining farm. The rpcallowip=10.1.1.* means he's got multiple machines hashing to his wallet.

Well, got linux working.. Shit now actually works, found 3 blocks 0 orphans. Good.

g++: error: E:MinGWliblibws2_32.a: No such file or directory
g++: error: E:MinGWlibliboleaut32.a: No such file or directory

error on linux fucking noobs developers

Yes, botched launch, same issue here. Had to edit the makefile and get the mingw lines and lolauth32 out of there. Fucking noob devs. Who the fuck needs MinGW when compiling on a linux box. Get your shit straight.

Looks like a junkcoin clone, junkcoin had the issue, powercoin had the same issue.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Build me a LTC rig on: May 24, 2013, 12:27:53 AM
You can undervolt a 7950, still get ~650 KH/Sec, at 40-50W less, bringing it down to ~150W per card.

As I said can you back this up with data rather than throwing random numbers in the air? How did you get to the values of 40~50W and the 150W per card? Also suddenly 650 kh/s?

Also one can undervolt a 7970 too :/

Quote
Also, the initial investment is ~$400 more, for 4 7970's.

To get the same hashing power out of 7950's, you're eventually going to need more motherboards, processors, RAM, etc. Also, even though the investment is greater, the return of investment stays the same period as you have a higher hashing power. The 7970 is 21% faster, and the investment is 25% larger. These numbers are in the same ballpark and therefore I still do not see why one would not buy the most hashing power per motherboard :/
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Build me a LTC rig on: May 24, 2013, 12:22:51 AM
any suggestions on best 7950?
if you can afford 7950, then you should jus go h.a.m, get the 7970s, sapphire twin x oc edition, then a 1500 watt power supply gold certified. you dont need a really powerful cpu, but i'd suggest the 22nm i5 and minimum of 8gb ram, if you use reaper, get 16gb. you may want to use a custom case or crate for your build. to allow the hardware space and additional cooling. pcie risers are a good option, get powered ones. i use a ssd, i dont know if that improves performance.

7950's prove to be more profitable. The extra electricity, plus the extra $100 per card, is not worth the little bit of extra hashing power. Not only that, 7970's are notoriously harder to get the settings right. I have the 3 fan Gigabyte 7950, and I get 620 KH/sec, at stock speeds.

That mobo you picked, that's only got 2X PCIE16 slots, is that enough? I've also read in places too, that 3 GPU's per board is better, for cooling purposes, and, so you don't have to fuck around with powered riser cables.

Also, I read that 8 GB Ram should be plenty

Can you please back this up with data?

The data I have is that I draw 1243W from the socket with 4x 7970 @ 750kh/s - significantly faster than 7950. With 90% PSU efficiency, this means 1118W at the PSU side --> minus ~160W for processor, motherboard, HDD and peripherals, 958 W for just the cards --> 239W per card. The 160 was based on the fact that the idle system draws 220W, and data suggests the 7970's use 15W per card @ idle.

Now, I hear the 7950's draw about 200W per card (can you confirm?), at 620 KH/s

So, this means:

7950 ---> 620/200 = ~ 3.1 kh/W
7970 ---> 750/239 = ~ 3.14 kh/W

And this makes sense as it's practically the same board, but at higher clocks. So as the output per watt is practically the same (give or take 5% in my assumptions), I see no reason why not to put the top cards in your system :/

You could also not try to scam people.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: hhhmmm... where is profit? on: May 23, 2013, 02:02:10 PM
First of all scrypt hashing speed does not 1:1000 correlate to the same amount of SHA-256 hashes. For 2600 kh/s scrypt you'll have about 2300~2400 Mh/s SHS256. That's to start with.

Also, with 2600 kh/s you'll make 312 WDC/24h. That's ~0.17 BTC.

With 2400 Mh/s SHA-256 you'll make 0.11 BTC a day.

So there's your profitability. I don't know where you got your numbers from.

Thanks, it's working now Smiley

I get a DNS resolution error.. If you guys can still access it, it might be something local in the DNS servers - can somebody throw me their IP so I can temporarily fix this in my hosts file?
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BTER down? on: May 23, 2013, 10:27:28 AM
Soo, bter is not loading here anymore for about an hour. Anyone else? Any news as to why they're down?
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Build me a LTC rig on: May 23, 2013, 03:05:39 AM
CPU: AMD X2 cheapest
Mobo: MSI 990FXA-GD65
Ram: 4GB ram
HDD: simple mechanical HDD (no usb stick, will kill performance till you slowly grow mad)
GPU: 4x Sapphire HD7970 (11197-03-40G)
PSU: Seasonic X-1250
4x PCI-e 1x to 16x riser cable
Some iron wire for PCI-e presence mod
Linux.

This is how I built my rigs, they eat 1200W from the socket and provide with 3000kh/s each.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin: 1x to 16x PCI-E extenders, CPU question on: May 22, 2013, 01:49:28 PM
I can confirm that the 990FXA-GD65 needs the presence mod on all PCI-e slots, yes.

He could have also shut it down because it was 51% attacking the network, but then he shouldn't be accepting shares either (which it still did when I pulled out)

Hydroponica, just fucking stop with your double and triple posts. Edit your last post for fucks sake. You're flooding every topic, please just edit your last post and don't make a new one every time.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PowerCoin PWC 120%+ Profitability!! on: May 22, 2013, 12:20:33 PM
The premine has all been used for bounties and giveaways, and you are the guy who asked for a bribe not to expose the premine (when it was always supposed to be used the way it was)... The bter mishap was already explained. And 1500% happened at the beggining of cryptsy exchange (some trades at 0.00017 and up, while difficulty was still low), after that it was indeed wrong.

Doesn't matter whether he gave it away or not (nobody can check that also). What matters is that he lied about every single instance, and kept true to his lie until it was undeniably proven to be a lie.

- NWO promised multiple times there was no pre-mine at all, kept on insisting until the proof was posted
- NWO promisted multiple times it would be on bter, kept on insisting until a bter dev actually told it was BS
- NWO now insists that this shit has 1500% profitability when it was never that profitable

All proven to be lies.
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PowerCoin PWC 120%+ Profitability!! on: May 22, 2013, 12:11:38 PM
This kind of discussion going around this forums helps no coins, be it WDC, PWC or any other alt coin.
Why someone puts so many effort in trying to descredit a coin is beyond me

This is not about discrediting a coin, and if any, NWO is the only one who discredits his coin by posting continuous lies.

PWC was never at 1500% profitability, only a bug in coinchoose made it show like that. Yet NWO purposely and willingly claimed it was. The continuous lies being spread by NWO ("no premine" "bter exchange confirmed within a week" <<-- multiple times, and now 1500% profitability) discredit PWC more than any user here does.

It's about uncovering the truth and warning other members before they get involved with a coin that's surrounded by lies made by the dev.
