I did try to do solo mining to bitcoin gold qt.exe in windows , but I see the error.

Unless you have 100s of GPUs I would not even bother trying to solo mine just join a pool

What is bcashclassic ? Future fork of BCH ?

Its the old EDA chain that's being mined and kept alive

link to pool? i am ceo Smiley the original EDA coin is THE REAL BITCOIN<<< dont fall for fake satoshi scammers' trickery :-D weee

I have no idea where but someone is mining it because a new block was found earlier and since the EDA will reduce the difficulty by 20% every block it will just get easier and easier providing people keep hashing it

remember when the EDA was announced as a way to stop the chain dying and now it could be getting put into force

Bitcoin Gold scam! Be aware!

Bitcoin.com has no credibility in this space Roger "Bitcoin Judas" Ver just went full retard and along with the rest of his cronies have declared war on every cryptocurrency except his precious Bcash

What do you think about BitMEX's idea of selling users' BCH instead of crediting their accounts?

http://bitcoinist.com/bitmex-volume-dump-bitcoin-cash-bitcoin/

Quote
Users will not receive Bitcoin Cash, rather BitMEX will sell all users’ Bitcoin Cash, and credit their wallet with the Bitcoin proceeds

and additionally

Quote
Do not expect future coins to be credited in this way. BitMEX reserves the right to credit forks or not – in the presence of doubt, always withdraw first.

There is also just another month before xapo sells off all customers BCH for BTC if its still not been withdrawn

626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 15, 2017, 03:56:35 PM
wait and see. I think that people invest again in Bch. because it's not about btc, it's about making money

And its in BTC the most money is made yes you can make money trading with these alts but long term BTC is where the real value stands

Where are the shills? I guess they had enough when they got red tagged, HA!
Where is that guy who said it I had screws loose if I shorted BCH at 0.21 because "buy" wallts?

Looks like the old EDA chain lives on

Not sure if it's being mined but its still alive

Just finished loading my BTG from my BTC address :

- Downloaded the Windows wallet from the BTG website
and sync'ed it fully (took a day and half) then encrypted
it with a passphase.

- Moved my BTC to another wallet address for security

- Got the private key for the old address using the Bitcoin
core wallet console:
walletpassphase 'wallet passphrase' 600
dumpprivkey 'wallet address'
walletlock

- From the Bitcoin gold wallet console:
walletpassphase 'wallet passphrase' 600
importprivkey "bitcoinprivkey"
walletlock

This activates a re-scan to locate your coins and within the
hour my BTG appeared with new 'G' address that has the
BTC private key.

Next I'm going to move these to the address provided
after the sync of the BitcoinGold wallet for safety.

Happy retrieving, I've got nowhere to send them but at least
I have them Smiley

I moved my BTC to a paper wallet from trezor pre fork and moved them back post I can see my BTG on the blockchain still just need to load my key and send them all somewhere

So far I have BTG on a paper wallet, some on HitBTC and some on suprnova from mining once trezor releases their update for BTG support then ill move them all on there until then they can stay where they are

i sent this coin from one exchange to another. already been 3 hours and still 0/3 confirmations. wtf. i thought this was supposed to be faster than btc.  " almost instantaneous"

What was the address you sent so we can verify?

It's just Fud.

Warning to recent users, this forum is full of Fud workers paid by blockstream. They will only tell lies and deception to defame bch, always check the information. Defamation and censorship on a very serious issue, keep this in mind

9dcdfb73ac9745d7ca68123b9691f9ab4d04f0e1610926a608199c6643c545c4

this txid shows no results. it is still showing 0/3 confirms . i sent from nova exchange, might be an issue with nova, i dunno

Maybe it's on BitcoinCashClassic ? there are still bitcoin cash nodes not on the DAA fork

According to bitnodes there are still 67 nodes not upgraded

At the moment, $ 1.6 billion is traded bch, however, only $ 937 million btc

Well according to CMC

BCH has traded $2,007,980,000   in last 24h while BTC has done $3,446,740,000 so I would like to know where you found these numbers
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 14, 2017, 08:52:31 PM
And if core did increase the blocksize BCH is done for as their only current benefit is blocksize

Blocksize can be increased when scientists/engineers say it is ok to do so. But those B*CHes will come up with something else then. Cuz it aint no about blocksize/scaling at all.  Wink It is about destroying bitcoin.

Official news of a timed increase in say 0.15.2 would cause a huge scurry back as fears of being the last ones holding worthless coins would kick in BCH would dive 300% or more within a few hours and BTC would double in value overnight

Due to high transaction fee and delays in accepting and processing bitcoin transaction, we have temporarily suspended payments for goods with Bitcoin on https://fudmartng.com  till it's favourable to our customers and us.Customers can pay with #BitcoinCash , #Dash and #Litecoin

Another business switching for alts, close your eyes baby we have no problem in bitcoin, everything is fine lol

Please BTC guys stop trolling us, this is a bitcoin cash topic ...

It is a BCH topic, but BCH is a fork from original Bitcoin, so we have the right to say what we think about it since BCH supporters are about to destroy Bitcoin!

You all keep saying this is bitcoin make your minds up its either bitcoin hence here in the right place or its bitcoin cash

What a chicken-shit LIAR Back is.

Quote
Bitcoin Core is not fundamentally opposed to on-chain scaling

As explained by Back, the Bitcoin Core development team has not been fundamentally opposed to on-chain Bitcoin scaling. In 2014 Back noted that a gradual block increase to 2MB, 4MB, and 8MB is a viable option in the mid-term, until second-layer payment channels are fully adopted by the industry, wallet platforms, and exchanges.

Blatant lying. And this is only 2 weeks after he confessed to Forbes that Blockstream's business model depends on sidechains broken layer 1 BTC.

And if core did increase the blocksize BCH is done for as their only current benefit is blocksize

The new DAA was supposed to stabilise the block generation but now BCH is only doing a average of 2 blocks per hour because it keeps adjusting the difficulty and appears to be keeping BTC just that bit more profitable (anything from 20% - 100% ive seen) I wonder if it will stabilise after a few days or if its just as broken as before just in the opposite direction
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 14, 2017, 03:06:29 PM
If no fork can be the new bitcoin how are we going to update bitcoin one day ? lol

What are you talking about?  Bitcoin is constantly updated.  The very idea of a 'new (different) Bitcoin' is fraudulent.

i'm talking about HF not bug fixes... HF by essence creates a new chain, a new coin, so at some moment if the HF is contentious (Segwit2x for example) how are you going to deal with that ? stay with the old rules ? certainly not you are going to let the people decide and the longest chain will be considered as the new bitcoin

Bitcoin has upgraded many times and there are still many upgrades to come starting with schnorr signatures (more efficient), Confidential transactions (untraceable transactions), MAST (smart contracts) All these will be soft forks meaning backwards compatible with non upgraded nodes so no chain split needed
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 13, 2017, 11:09:47 PM

yea yea and what about segwetters.org eh?  blockstream corpcoin is what btcx is now m8....
why are core so scared to improve the service for everyone by lowering fees (bigger blocks)without a 2nd layer?

ill tell you why...because they are greedy and want high fees on btc chain.
Blockstream control the 2nd layer too.

And what do you think would happen to bch if core announced next week bitcoin is to have a official 4x upgrade scheduled in the next major node release to happen at a pre determined point in the near future

Honest question
possible bch will lose value and btc may gain...but its to late imo for them as now it will show they were wrong all along...their egos are to big for that.

That's the thing it's not just about increasing blocksize segwit fixed a transaction bug that makes future upgrades more difficult, the size increase is just a bonus, then there is schnorr signatures that increase capacity by a considerable amount and also helps combat spam transactions this is all about making the most of usable space and once the useable space is maximised then increase the blocks

2nd layer solutions are not designed for all transactions just tiny ones that are pointless being onchain I mean does sending 25c here and there really have to be on chain not really

Why waste space sending small amounts of pocket change

You know them free wallets you use like electrum etc these all have to run their own nodes what do you think will happen if they all needed to run huge powerful server racks just so you can have a free wallet

BCH haters still hating even though BCH is 9.8% more profitable to mine and miners starting to move over to BCH.

Let me tell you something that probably most BCH hardcore fans are missing
With the new update both BTC and BCH will have an averge block time of 10 minutes.

Taking into consideration that the reward for a bitcoin block is 12.5 + 5 (average fees)  and the price is 6500
And the reward for a bcash block is 12.5 + 0 fees an the price is 1200..
What do you think miners will choose to mine?

https://fork.lol/reward/blocks
The daily reward for BTC mining is 8 times more than BCH.

You are missing something right now the profitability benefit is pretty much 0% if the BTC fees are higher then it will just get more hashes the daily reward will be equal

The rest is about right more stable hashing on both chains and pretty consistent block times
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 13, 2017, 09:30:53 PM
how many blocks are they mining?

"they" actually aren't mining, but the users on the official pool are mining their premine Smiley

8000 blocks

Hmmm.. 8000 blocks premine? Doesnt that take like almost 2 months to mine with 10 minute block time? Or am I missing something here?

The premine is complete it didnt take long not sure but was something like 5 hours

So what is the current block time?

Right now it seems to be averaging around 15 mins but its adjusted per block so will correct itself quickly for 10 min average
