Well done Casper team, such a good effort to promote the Casper API ( don't expect this one to educate those who support the Casper team in this thread ) .I'm glad that the team is busy to do such a good strategy to advertise the uses and importance of this project. Credit to the writers and cartoon artists! It simple but I enjoy it a lot, so unique and effective! Just continue to do unexpected works that easy to understand like this.
623  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Foxbit lost bitcoins and stopped working !!! on: March 14, 2018, 08:00:26 PM
Foxbit - the largest crypto currency exchange in Brazil, has not worked for more than 72 hours. The reason was a technical error that allowed users to withdraw their bitcoins-balances twice. In total, the company lost 30 bitcoins worth about 270,000 dollars.
fun moment! even such giants can fail!what is your opinion?
That's a disaster inside the company loss, it's count like a 100 percent failed moment as a famous exchange. Yes it's a fun moment to all the users but it's a serious kind of issue specially if you hold the largest crypto currency exchange in a famous country like Brazil. I also felt loss when I read this thread even if I'm not a part of the team Foxbit. Hoping that this is a fake news folks.

Do you know how to hack into servers?

The first step in any strategy is a port scanning. Each open port is a server-side program. Example: on the 21st port there is FTP. If you connect to it and get the appropriate rights, you can safely download or upload any files... on the first 1024 ports you can find many standard services, each of them is a kind of door. And the more there are, the easier it will be to find that one or more of them are not closed…
In fact, there are many websites on the Internet that publish information about new weaknesses. And given, that many of servers don't renew its security due to negligence or unqualified administrators, then many of them can be cracked because of "old" problems. But what if the project does not have a server? What to crack then? It is due to the lack of a single server and decentralised storage that a high level of security is achieved!

Casper places the file to be stored in multiple copies from different service providers around the world. The service provider must meet the requirements, which provides reliable distributed network. And when there is no single server, there is nothing to hack.

http://casperproject.io

I'm not good in IT works or even in networking job but I learn something on this post. Which mean, if no server, it will minimize all the line or accounts that may be hack. But my question is, if the Casper stored multiple copies from different service providers around the world ( like you've said ) , it means the target of the hacker is at least one of those service provider. Correct me if I'm wrong.
627  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit Cycling on: March 12, 2018, 07:21:45 PM
So I was interested in how to obtain merit and so I looked at a few profiles of members with a large amount of merits (250+) and saw that a few seemed to be sending merits backwards and forwards to each other repeatedly. I’m assuming they were either to friends or his alts but surely this is against BCT rules and should be cracked down upon?
For me, it's their own rights if they want to send who ever they want inside the bitcointalk.org . As long as no evidence of selling or buying merit, and of course, there's system and process too that may review all the merit sent if that is accountable to be awarded. I think some people did that , cause they need to survive and rank up here, for being honest, it's hard to have merit cause it's very limited.
628  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do not exchange coin on Poloniex if you do not want to wait and "lose money" on: March 11, 2018, 12:09:07 PM
Poloniex was recently bought by Circle, which has one of the best customer support teams out on their platform. While I am sure it will take a while to integrate the Circle methodologies into Poloniex, good things will be coming in the near future.

This could be the best news for poloniex users, hopefully after everything integrated with Circle then we will not see any issues about slow support anymore. If it is happened, then most people who have left poloniex because of slow support including me will come back to use poloniex.

Maybe, I should try poloniex in the future, just curiosity folks. But before that, I need to find good alternative token to invest and to exchange in a good price. Just make sense if you want to be a good trader.

As we all know, a beta test of the casper service was launched a few days ago. There is some statistics on volume / speed. What are your impressions?
Yes and if you have chosen to be tested in their beta you can earn also token for testing the service, unfortunately they choosen about mac os and linux for the operating system  and I don't have that so sad to be participating in such a good project like casper.

So bad, I don't have that too. Linux is downloadable in internet right, but I don't have enough knowledge about that specially in installing operating system (OS) software though, so just forget about it. Lucky to those who have that operating system.

632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to find new tokens on exchanges? on: March 10, 2018, 01:27:09 PM
Hello,

how can we find recently listed tokens on exchanges? Coinmarketcap isn`t so fast in listing all exchanges which have recently added a token or coin.
That is also my problem before, but now it so easy to solve. First is you need to be updated to all information of that specific project or token( visit their official site or in telegram ) cause they are the only one who will decide where to exchange the token that you want to monitor. Listing token is not as easy as you think, try to hit this link https://coinmarketcap.com/faq/, you can see how to process it.

The criteria for a cryptocurrency to be listed is the following:

- Must be a cryptocurrency or a crypto token.
- Must be on a public exchange with an API that reports the last traded price and the last 24 hour trading volume.
- Must have a non-zero trading volume on at least one supported exchange so a price can be determined.
- For market cap ranking, an accurate circulating supply figure is required.
633  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 2018 forecast on: March 10, 2018, 01:07:11 PM
I think predictions and forecasts are awesome, but what value do they really add? Is the entire purpose purely to get new money and investments to come into the scene? It's like going back to the entire "get in here before its too late".

Believe in the technology and invest money you can afford to lose.

Invest money that you can afford to lose? such a disaster though.. In the first place, you invest because you want to double it and maximize the profit. To become successful investor, you may be optimistic about capital or rental growth and be prepared to accept some failure too. Bitcoin can give you a good fight in the future folks!
634  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Starting to learn a new job in bitcoin forum on: March 10, 2018, 10:30:24 AM
For being a translator is not an easy job, but you can get a great pay if you can do the job well done. But don't expect high payment in your first job as a translator ( you need start as a newbie and pay like as rate as a newbie ) , cause you need a lot of sample and portfolio first like applying a photo editor some kind of that stuff. Also, find a legit project too, good luck folks!
635  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does signature campaign really help to promote an ICO ? on: March 10, 2018, 09:40:57 AM
For me yes, in bitcointalk.org you can see a lot of bitcoin investors and bitcoin user. Specially in alternative coins area, there are hidden personality like my friend that has a big faith in the crypto currency since 2015 . And signature is one of the best way to caught a little attention from the crypto community. That is my own understanding correct me if I'm wrong.
636  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beat CoinMarketCap on: March 10, 2018, 08:28:59 AM
I'v found a upcoming website which also offers life prices, like Coinmarketcap. The website looks more appealing to me as it has a fresh and young look. I like the idea that I am not supporting one of the bigger players. Let me know if you also like this website: https://www.coinranker.net
I visit the link that you posted here and it looks like user friendly like coinmarketcap. You may try this if you want,  https://www.cryptocompare.com/ , cryptocompare always send me email if there's new alternative coins added and some news about on it, this one is good exchanges too for me and simple website design.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CASPER API it is first system decentralized cloud-based data storage for DAPPS on: March 10, 2018, 08:10:30 AM
Forgive me for asking as I haven't read the whitepaper thoroughly, where are you planning on storing the massive hard drive storage?
I am aware that you will keep four replica of the files, does that mean that you will have four separate hard storage for that?
Thanks
Casper don't have own data center for storage files. Casper is a DApps. Everyone may be Casper provider service if you have hdd and 5 mb/sec internet connection. It's future, it's decentralized
Oh! are you sure? 5 megabytes for seconds?that a pretty fast than I thought. I think that is possible, but the only question is do they can handle a thousands, or million of client in a same time or short interval of time. That will be a exciting in the future decentralize cloud based data storage.

Well that is good for the side of Poloniex, hoping that they get the trust again of the crypto community like the author of this thread. It's important to change/update for good and back to the business again. Everything problem has a solution, all that matter is about time responding for the customer support team.

Try to hit the link http://www.casperproject.io/

I visit the official website of Casper Api and this the most interesting part I want to share...

CST holders get the following opportunities can become a supplier of resources ( 1CST = up to 256Gb) in order to provide the data-storage needs of the service, and receive rewards of it. What do you think? this is one of the most satisfying service in just 1CST.

640  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will crypto markets continue to spike higher? on: March 09, 2018, 08:56:41 PM
Yup bitcoin's price will still goes up and i think it will hit about $17k to $18k  before the year ends.  Its also very evident on its price chart history that its price continuously rise with time, thats why more are becoming intersted of it. Nothing can stop bitcoin and other cryptos from growing. As long as holders and users do exists, so do bitcoins.

Your good news is going down again, based on https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/ the current price is going low again, it hit $8,873.67 USD (-6.08%), much lower than yesterday value. Well, it's natural, I believe one day ( maybe in last quarter of the year 2018 ) it going to a madness high value again and again .
