621  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 03, 2013, 02:23:08 AM

Has Dave even confirmed that Starter Kits will be getting an extra H Board?  I know Punin has said that in the EU thread but I don't recall Dave saying the same thing.

I think only for 400Gh/s orders.

False. It applies to any order regardless of kit type so that you'll get at least the hashrate that you paid for per as Dave explained before.

Example: in the EU site a guy ordered 2 kits in the same order, one kit for 400 gh and a 25 gh starter kit.
Since he technically bought 2 separate kits and Bitfury can't force him to treat them a single kit, he got: 2 M-boards, 2 H-boards for the 25 Gh/s kit and 21 h-boards for the 400 Gh/s kit (based on whatever true hashrate those boards actually yielded). Hope that clarifies.

Maybe start from here did I read it right some buyers get 25Gh/s starter kit with 2 Hboards.

Hi guys -

More tomorrow.

thanks for the update! Will starter kits be seeing 35-40ghash total like the punin customers? Also, can you add any info for the basic shipping to canada? its been brought up a few times but i dont think there has been a firm answer

Thanks for the update.

While I really appreciate Dave topping up hashrates due to out of low spec boards ... it's too bad that the full kit orders end up paying more $ per GH than the starter kits ($48/GH vs $32/GH). It would be nice if Dave would consider giving the full kit orders a few extra boards beyond what's needed to hit 400 GH/s.
Sounds a bit entitled. hes giving what people ordered and people will still find a way to be unhappy and ask for more. starter kits cant get anymore hcards for august so you have an advantage over them by having more hash power on hand

Not unhappy or whining. Just stating the facts. Starter kits are getting more bang for the buck. That's all.

he said that the 400GH kit would be split as 2 8-board kits (each probably coming with 2 extra boards for hashrate correction), so you are actually getting an m-board and RPi for free if im not mistaken. that sounds better then the lonely extra 15Gh the starters get

Has Dave even confirmed that Starter Kits will be getting an extra H Board?  I know Punin has said that in the EU thread but I don't recall Dave saying the same thing.

I think only for 400Gh/s orders.

punin, are you going to adjust your price of (31st) October delivery after competitors movement?
https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-33

   that price for Nov Delivery.

yeap, but August delivery became early-September, so maybe October one will become November, and then KNC looks more atractive. That's why I'm asking about punin's plans before placing an order.

We all want to get good price but not going to happen and you have to think about pre-orders already paid big dollars.   You have to know KNC already moved day 1 for sept. delivery to Oct 15 then no one know KNC will ship out for it.

625  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Where are you BitFury/Megabigpower?!?!?! on: September 01, 2013, 11:36:51 PM
Megabigpower.com states that they have 225 units of BitFury 400gh available for october delivery and they accept credit cards manually and even lowered the price.  I've sent emails, web tickets and PMs on this forum numerous times inquiring to buy multiple units with CC but no response.  I can only guess that means they won't deliver in October or the whole "we take credit cards" is just for show!?!?!  Perhaps it's Avalon 2.0  Ship the first batch everyone's eyes go wide and then...   You fill in the blanks.

628  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Did someone just put 100TH on the network??? on: September 01, 2013, 01:27:02 AM
I just looked at blockchain.info and they show a current level of 761,549.60 GH/s.  https://ghash.io/ is only showing 115TH, did another company get something online today?

no, no idea where you got that information from but right now is btc 598271.79 from http://allchains.info/
629  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 01, 2013, 12:09:16 AM
Okay...

so did any of the AUGUST PRE-ORDER GOT THEIR MINERS??/

It is now September 1st...

my pitchfork arrived on time for aug 31. i already had the torches on hand.

For US BF buyers are going to be next week and some EU BF buyer got miner already this week.

Here's pinout diagram of the RPi I/O connector. There's a +5V pin that can be used to power the RPi. On the m-board is a 12V->5V regulator that feeds into that pin.

Thank you for information pin 2 and 4 are 5.0V power that RPi can use.
631  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 31, 2013, 06:09:38 AM
RPI need power by microusb that only way to power up RPi.
This is incorrect.
why dont you let us know how RPi got power from?
632  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 31, 2013, 06:02:33 AM
I'm reasonably sure the RPi is powered off the header on the M-card.
Correct. The M-board has a regulator that provides power to the RPi connector.

RPI need power by microusb that only way to power up RPi.
633  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 31, 2013, 12:50:50 AM
Oh hmm my UPS has a USB out port!  great, i can connect rpi to that!

nice and what kind UPS you got  and I am looking to get one UPS.
634  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 31, 2013, 12:48:05 AM
How are people planning to power their rPI?  is there an easy way to use the ATX PSU or are people going to run off a wall wart?

I power mine off a powered usb hub.

you better off use wall power and usb hub might not good power up Rpi.
635  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: August 30, 2013, 11:02:18 PM
its good that uve read the dependencys for the newer firmwares Tongue
for firmware 1.2.5++ you need cmigner 3.3.2. not 3.3.1
yes, I have 3.3.2 cgminer installed...

tell us more what kind jtag did you use and what kind firmware file you use  .hex or bin?

upgraded cgminer to 3.4.0 - no any changes.
I have used AVR Dragon, compiled the firmware with Atmel Studio

you make sure program right mcu for your Jal.

I, at least, would be interested if it was relatively inexpensive, but I think they are wanting an m-board adapter to eliminate the RPi...
You mean a board to interface to the current m-board ? That's basically only a RPi replacement, but less powerful, and at least as expensive.

I was thinking more of a small PCB with an edge connector, where you plug in a single H-CARD. This replaces both the big m-board and the RPi, and would be useful for people only interested in mining with 1 or 2 H-CARD attached to a PC.  For more H-CARDs, the m-board is the more practical solution.

If one H-card dies in the M-card chain (v1), the whole (400GH) miner is out, no?
With 1-2 H-card solution, they can pretty much operate independently.  8 "devices" attached to a PC for 400 GH rig.
Sort of like BFL mini rig (8 Singles attached to a hub, stuffed in one big box).  One dies, the rest keeps going.

no, everything still work as one dead hboard but if Mboard died everything wont work.
638  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 30, 2013, 03:41:25 PM
better way to fix Mboard by addon usb and/or network to it.

ps: we need better MOSFET chip for high current like 50A and easy OC it.

Well I seem to of royally cocked up the Ras PI method every time I use this hex file for flashing https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/143860/BitForce_SC.mrrad.hex the process shows the following

Flash on AT32UC3A1256
Size(detected): 262144
Pages: 512
Page size: 128 words
burning...
addr: 0x8003FE00 page: 511
verifying...
addr: 0x8003FE00 page: 511
511 bytes total
Done.

I then run the following commands

jtag> instruction HALT
jtag> shift ir
jtag> dr 0
jtag> shift dr
jtag> shift dr

this should then start the front LED Flashing but nothing happens.

and CG miner says it is unable to start the device

Any ideas?

edit: I do not know how to compile firmware with atmel studio

edit 2: i found with the LED's on the back that are on are the one next to the power power connector and also if i remember correctly the  1st LED on the left (i belive these are the active chips LED's) this may help some one diagnose my issue

you need to change file .hex to .bin.  you need to read over again for Ras pi by Redxxx information

  here link http://randomcontent.wolfnexus.net/RandomSite/reflashing-a-butterfly-labs-jalapeno-with-only-a-raspberry-pi/

you might missed this step "pi@raspberrypi:/usr/src/urjtag/urjtag# srec_cat (path to .hex file) -intel -offset -0x80000000 -byte-swap 4 -o (path to output .bin file) -binary"

Agreed on the last step there. If you have done this and its still not working, I notice it only seems to be flashing about 500 bytes, this should be about 262000 bytes. Maybe re-download the flash file and try it again?

you meant .bin file is 262000 but not after jtag done with programming

ps: here from your site:
