621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wikipedia Raises 237 BTC Through Donations In One Week on: August 10, 2014, 12:34:36 PM
I don't know why they didn't accept it when the petition was first started they had nothing to lose but everything to gain and this just shows that they didn't have their business heads on.
622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city will be the center of crypto currency on: August 10, 2014, 12:33:38 PM
If it's going to be anyone its going to be London but hopefully it won't be any city and Bitcoin will remain decentralized from having a center of Bitcoin.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Spending Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2014, 12:32:06 PM
I mostly purchase small items which are easier to purchase with Bitcoin but because not every place accepts Bitcoin I don't use it for the majority of my purchases.

626  Economy / Services / Re: Web Design/Development Network [One Stop Solution For Your Crypto Business] on: August 02, 2014, 08:37:50 PM
Very expensive and looks to be a scam....
627  Economy / Goods / Re: Amazon.com goods for BTC, secure, free 2-day shipping on: August 02, 2014, 07:34:32 PM
I'm just wondering why you don't offer digital goods? Is it because you only deal with your gift balance? But then I don't see the difference in buying gift codes and buying digital goods?
628  Economy / Lending / Re: Be careful when giving your ID info! on: August 02, 2014, 07:31:45 PM
Thanks for the tip I should imagine not a lot of people want to give out their id to anyone anyway.
629  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Password Recovery Without Needing Your Wallet.dat 5-10% fee. on: August 02, 2014, 07:30:21 PM
How long does this take to do?
630  Other / Off-topic / Re: VMWare Ubuntu slow when windows is not on: July 22, 2014, 11:24:57 PM
So it cames to the conclusion that Windows is better than Linux. I am not sure what is making your Ubuntu so slow. you may want to check things up and if it does not help reinstall it from the scratch.

That's going to be a pain if I have to reinstall. I must of configured something wrong even though most of the settings are the same for example ram is 4gb each (using 32bit for both operating systems so the limit is 4gb anyway) I don't think windows is better than windows but in my case with vmware it is at the moment. Is there any other better alternatives than VMware? I'm starting to doubt vmware rather than the operating system itself.
631  Other / Off-topic / VMWare Ubuntu slow when windows is not on: July 22, 2014, 11:19:04 PM
OK so I've tried running both these operating systems within vmware and it seems that ubuntu is very slow and not very fast but windows 7 on the other hand is super quick and is super responsive. Any idea what could be causing this or how I would find out what is causing it? It's really frustrating as I need to use ubuntu for a few things.
632  Other / Meta / Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: July 22, 2014, 10:33:52 PM
It takes up to thirty minutes to update. You can post on the exact day or anytime in the two week period to get your points, though make sure the new period has actually started with the times in the op.

Thanks for that I wasn't quite sure whether I had to post on the day but I did notice after making 2-3 posts my activity did update so I should allow 30 minutes for it to update next time and not panic that my account was broke.
633  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Import private key work on electrum? on: July 22, 2014, 10:32:13 PM
I too want to know how to create a new electrum address and export the private key so I can see it in plain text? or is there some other way I can find out my private key? I'm going to be importing my existing wallet and then transferring it to a new electrum wallet.
634  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How easy is it to sell a domain name? on: July 22, 2014, 10:25:17 PM
I'd like to find out some opinions on whether or not its worth it to register a tonne of bitcoin related domains to sell?

What has been your experience in the domain selling business?

Please check out my domains also https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=701443.msg7927455#msg7927455 Smiley

I don't think a lot of people like domain squatters they purchase a certain name in bulk and try to sell it for more than it's worth but someone might want that name for a actual project its actually really irritating.
635  Bitcoin / Electrum / Import private key work on electrum? on: July 22, 2014, 10:21:19 PM
I used to use the official Bitcoin wallet which of course I knew how to use but I recently got suggested to use electrum because of it being much faster and easier to use. Can anyone tell me how I would go about importing my existing wallet.dat and private key into electrum?
636  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any auction sites like what bitmit used to be? on: July 22, 2014, 10:18:36 PM

637  Other / Meta / Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: July 22, 2014, 10:16:24 PM
I don't think mine has been updated yet does it take 15 minutes to update? I'm sure I read this somewhere? I would like to ask too for it to update do you have to post on the exact day it updates or post between each set of dates?

EDIT: My activity did just now update so it must not update right away but within a few minutes.
638  Other / Meta / Re: Remove Vod from DefaultTrust on: July 22, 2014, 10:14:02 PM
I agree that if a user is intending to scam or looks like he could scam because he is not providing collateral it should deserve negative trust I have no problem with what vod is doing.
639  Economy / Service Discussion / Any auction sites like what bitmit used to be? on: July 22, 2014, 10:12:21 PM
I was wondering when we would see another bitmit like site but I have failed to find any that are as good as this old gem any one have any sites?
