Which reminds me, I just set my donation to 1%. Not that my hashing power will bring in many coins, but still, I very much doubt that a 1% fee alone is enough to cover all the costs and effort. Neither will 2% with the current amount of hashers, but maybe that'll get better once a few extra big time hashers come along. They can't all go to the same pool without screwing things up (again?!)


I just let the mining thing run today. Made me around 250 coins so far, and there's more in the unconfirmed bit. Unfortunately I can't run the thing day and night. But heck, it's been going pretty good indeed

Met 1000 euro is solomining een hele opgaaf, tenzij je een altcoin kiest. Over het algemeen is het moeilijk (en wordt het steeds moeilijker) om je investering eruit te halen. I have a 7950 with a decent hashrate, up to 600KH/s, but even that is practically useless at higher difficulties. And only with --no-adl, otherwise I get blue screens when I stop or restart cgminer.
And a 7790 that does a little over 200KH/s. Fairly cheap, those kind of cards. Especially in comparison to the real beasts
Also an AMD APU, A10-6800, but I'm not getting more out of it then 26KH/s. Odd, since the A10-5800 does almost twice that. But both are really just a waste of electricity when it comes to mining.

Well, I used another pool before. And then more and more people joined, and I got more and more disconnects and losing shares that way. Moved to smalltimeminer and been mining happily since. Until the difficulty thing. But it's okay-ish now. MEC Account Balance says 6 MECs confirmed and 54 unconfirmed. Nowhere near 700 a day, from before the half-ing and at much lower dificulty, but that's never coming back right...

I'm not mining anymore. In these situations my gpu is practicallly useless. Not sure it's even practical at "normal" high difficulties. But okay, I spent a lot of time and effort in this coin.

I do hope things work out pretty soon though. The current drop in value isn't good. I see larger and larger amounts of MΣC going away one lower price after another. I bought a few MΣC 3 weeks ago for 0.0006001 or so, and now we're heading that way again.

I'm not sure if another pool is helpful though if the current ones don't have miners, but fine, I can spent a bit of time if it helps.

Umm.. where's the option to backup the wallet in the new client? Closest thing I can find is an export option and that does nothing. Copying the dat file manually is... well, not of this century.

Well, cool news, but I have 1.5.2 running, and I don't seem to be able to do anything useful with that multiMC tool. I can make an instance of my current ...ummm... 1.5.2 version I think, but I haven't got a clue how to create an instance of an older version that I don't have. Guess I'll wait for the 1.5 server update
