I understand that field umpire can make mistakes but how come the TV umpire make a wrong descsion. Is he blinf to see that the bat did not hit the ground and this ultra edge footage means that SShakib Al Hasan is not out.
If you see the reply in slow motion, the ball never hit the ground.

What's wrong with ICC umpires ? Do they want Pakistan to qualify to keep the spice in the WC and make lots of money through India Pak Hype and a possible final between them Huh

Exactly what I just came to post. Now what does Pakistani fan wants to say? Clearly bat is not hitting the ground and we see the spike which means it's surely ball hitting the bat and yet 3rd umpire gave this out. Do you guys now think PCB managed to take a loan from world bank and give it to ICC? Cheesy

My point is these things do happen in close calls if this can happen with 3rd umpire, the ground umpire getting doubts in No ball is very normal but at the end what matters is decision of the umpire. Just ranting about ICC and BCCI just makes you look stupid.

So at least you are agreeing that India got the wrong No Ball and this makes their win against Pakistan doubtful  Smiley

The same way Bangladesh fans will be feeling the same if they lose this match. However, the context of both matches is different.  In the India Pakistan match, if no ball was not given, Pakistan was surely a winner.  Here, if Shakib was given not out, I don't think he was in the mood to make 50 in 20 balls.  Wink

I honestly pity Pakistan fans🤣 India chased 28 in 8 balls and they have audacity to say only the no ball made the difference. All I said was no ball was doubtful because some said it was and some said it wasn't but what matters is what Umpire feels. Anyways whatever helps Pakis sleep at Night Cheesy Cheesy

Netherlands set South Africa a target of 159 runs. South Africa is batting in the second innings. South Africa's batting is very slow. The Netherlands bowlers put a lot of pressure on the South African batsmen. Netherlands' bowling performance in today's match is very good. For the Netherlands bowlers, South Africa are in a very vulnerable position. Netherlands has a chance to win today's match

I would say today was the biggest upset in this world cup T20. The South African team was sure to win this easy match with the Netherlands and move in semi finals but not to be. This is so disappointing for them and also for their nation. South Africa always had bad luck in ICC tornaments and today is their another bad day.

Bad luck? They once again prove their choking tag. They have everything in their playing XI one of the best pace bowlers. Best openers and best finishers and yet they couldn't chase a meagre total of 158 against Netherlands? But honestly this world cup is turning out to be the most interesting one so far in terms of upset we have seen a lot of them till now. This defeat has made match between Pakistan and Bangladesh wife open for qualification. No doubt South Africa suffered a bit of badluck after that Zimbabwe match going to No Result due to Rain but that's how things are.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 05, 2022, 07:26:28 PM
Big matches tomorrow now, it's so exciting to see that even on the last day of the group stage, four teams have at least a theoretical possibility to qualify for the semis. Even though practically it looks like a very difficult task as you have to see a lot of upsets tomorrow in order to such things to happen. I am pretty sure RSA would be easily able to beat the Netherlands. On the same notes, even India beating Zimbabwe shouldn't really be a very tough task seeing Zimbabwe's performance in the last 2 matches. So if both these teams win, no point of any other possibility. I expect Pak vs Ban to be a very close encounter honestly, Bangladesh are not in bad touch and Pakistan just got momentum in match against RSA, so this could be an interesting match to watch for sure.
625  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Freedom of speech soon to become a mirage. Will Bitcoin still be here by 2030? on: November 05, 2022, 07:21:42 PM
This is being planned. Yes, guys. They are planning our future without our consent. While "A french secretary of state just explicitly said on a french news channel that they are looking for ways to report fellow citizens for belief in conspiracy theories", the WEF is working to implement a Global Social credit scoring system along with their Digital Identity imposition and their Smart Cities Governance scheme (which btw, they say it is to protect citizens). They hope to have this all playing out by 2030. Looks pretty scary to me...

"You will own nothing and you will be happy"

And what are you going to do about it?

Will Bitcoin be a way to escape the Great Reset or will it perish?

This is ironic taking in consideration the fact that so far with all the technological advancements free speech has actually become a reality and can reach thousands or even millions of people at once. But thinking that just in a matter of few years we will be in such a scenario where we won't be able to exercise this very power itself seems pretty scary to me honestly. I think one can't really do anything about it individually you just have to make sure you select the correct global leaders who advocate free speech instead of ones who merely pretend to advocate the same. Talking about bitcoin even the freedom of that would become like a mirage if such a thing takes place.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: friend I want to invest short term in bitcoin and crypto. to meet their living a on: November 05, 2022, 05:07:17 PM
a friend of mine came to me and he asked, is it possible to invest in bitcoin and crypto for the short term,? which is to meet daily needs, and I am confused to answer because I am still a beginner in bitcoin and crypto. and I want to ask everyone about it?
Investing and getting returns to meet ends? Not at all. Trading is one thing which can help him but for that also you have to be a professional trader. Otherwise it's a very time consuming process and just like any other normal job. You cannot just start investing tomorrow and expect crypto to become your livelihood in a sudden span of time. Infact crypto markets can go very down from the tops which will take away your very own principal also for once forget about the gains on that.
627  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IRS 2022 Tax Guidelines to Treat NFTs on: November 05, 2022, 04:24:00 PM
https://decrypt.co/112367/irs-2022-tax-guidelines-treat-nfts-stablecoins-cryptocurrencies
IRS 2022 Tax Guidelines to Treat NFTs as Stablecoins, Cryptocurrencies
New tax guidelines from the IRS mean that NFT holdings fall under the same tax regime as cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.
"As per the IRS’ 2022 tax year guide, all “digital assets,” including stablecoins, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and cryptocurrencies are set to be taxed under the same rules."

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/i1040gi--dft.pdf

Well this makes sense as well. NFTs are no different from crypto currencies, it's just that they are not fungible and therefore not that liquid otherwise all the qualities are exactly the same so the tax treatment also is bound to be same. But best part is they are being taxed at 20% rate which is lesser than rate of tax in India which is exorbitant 30% flat without the benefit of any tax slab whatsoever.
628  Economy / Economics / Re: Is recession coming actually? on: November 05, 2022, 04:20:43 PM
I am quite new to the crypto, investing, economy and all that...so far really got interested in about a year ago. So far what I see is lots of lack of similarities in opinions of youtubers, blogers and mass media. Some sources are shouting like creasy that a great recession is coming and it will hurt everyone so bad like never did. More moderate youtubers are doing some analysis and basically what they saying is, well there could be recession, and that is ok, this is how you get markets cleaned up. And there is third part that says, no everything is ok... unemployment is high, GDP is rising so technically we are not in a recession.

So the question is, what is going on there, are we really heading to recession? (or this is how markets work, so that people always speculate? )
It's coming? It has already come. Where do you see GDP rising? Last GDP estimate was of following only we just need one more Negative GDP estimate to offically call it a recession and generally you see the exact definition is slightly flawed what matters is the market conditions extreme inflation accompanied by extreme unemployment and political instability in many countries is a clear indication of recession. It's just that the exact reflection of it is yet to happen in traditional markets.
629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 04, 2022, 07:34:16 PM
i am a newbie in bitcoin, and i plan to buy bitcoin,, and will invest in bitcoin, and i want to ask everyone? if investing in bitcoin is it better short term or long term??? but in my opinion, long-term investment is better, but what do you think?
Specifically for Bitcoin: Unless you know trading, long-term. Investment in bitcoin should also not be done in just one big chunk instead make a habit of averaging out your deposits on every dip. This way you get the overall asset at a better average price. People who bought everything on the tops of 50 and 60 are still regretting but yes at the current price it might still look tempting to do investment in one shot. So consider this as well.

General Investment Advice: Invest based on your needs and aspiration. Everyone when he invests has a goal or vision in mind so invest according to that vision and the horizon of your aspiration. That will be a better plan than investing merely based on the asset.
630  Economy / Economics / Re: Brexit: Rejoining EU takes record 14-point lead in latest poll on: November 04, 2022, 04:51:57 PM
Honestly it's a pretty internal matter and people living under those circumstances would obviously be better able to give an opinion on this but as per me Brexit was honestly that point where fall of the British economy began. The promises on which it was done didn't really took reality. Also, that currently UK is facing one of the biggest recession of modern times brings even more light on this question. As per me honestly it wasn't really a great idea from UK to do so but anyways in very long run the results might prove to be contrary.
631  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: longing vs Shorting, Why is there a huge difference in percentage ROI? on: November 04, 2022, 04:48:49 PM
Hey hey hey. That's pure logic and mathematics both combined. On one side you are getting 900% increase and on the other hand 90% decrease. Trust me a coin going 90% decrease has much more probability than it going on to a 900% increase. as your seeing it to the extreme this is looking this much variated, for example if you take 0.1 USDT becoming 10 USDT it becomes 100x increase so your return will be 900,000 USD on a 10x leverage. Similarly if you expect price to become 0.01 USDT from 1 USD the return will be 9900$ only as compared 900000 USD in the other case. It's basic percentages.
632  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat in trouble on: November 03, 2022, 08:09:55 PM
But tell me one thing it isn't that this is happening for the very first time we have seen in past recessions as well that the economy has collapsed due to increased inflation and ultimately leading to a spiral situation but eventually after a recession the economy stabilizes itself somehow or the other. Never have I ever seen the economy completely getting ruined or fiat coming into question on such a crash. Why do you think this time is different? why are people thinking that this time fiat would end?
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 03, 2022, 03:04:26 PM
Honestly I came today in this thread to watch people cry again for cheating Cheesy Cheesy

People do not cry about cheating, people just see what the umpires are doing. Who is behind all this and who is benefited? Of course, money buys everything. Also, I suggest that instead of coming to this thread seeing people protesting (not crying), why not come up with your arguments to prove that you are right?

So here is a question for you and others. If the zero wickets are lost, the target should be 133 runs and not 151 after 16 overs. So how will you justify this target of 151 runs  Cheesy

Again, India tried every trick in the book, to ensure they win this match. Smiley I wished the same efforts could be done by them in the playing  field too.

I am no DLS expert for sure and this table is for Par score as per DLS not the revised targets which factor in the current score as well. Also it's mathematics if the calculation of target is wrong why didn't any association stood up for it? I understand no ball can be dubious but mathematics is very easy to prove isn't it? Because baseless allegations cannot stand a chance anywhere. Cheesy

Anyways where is the calculation table today? Why no one questioning wet outfield today?  Why is everyone so quiet today? Nawaz didn't took review after edging the ball? Do you think BCCI paid him?

By the way Pakistan played really well today, they showed they aren't just dependent on the top 2 but Pak fans seems quite busy in finding snippets where India did anything even slightly stupid.
634  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this not shilling but information sharing? on: November 03, 2022, 01:25:36 PM
Is it possible that all those crypto influencers we know and hear stuffs about could face market manipulation charges under new regulation law that's coming? ...

Is there popular word ' Not a Financial Advice' not enough to safe them from what's coming?

Since they warned people about doing their own research too, isn't this enough to break them free?
NFA is never enough man. It's like saying not an insult and then passing a derogatory remark on anyone. This is how NFA works too. One cannot say he is not giving this as a financial advise and get away from his responsibility. Moreover this becomes even worse when people charge money from you for these tips and then say this is not financial advice. Honestly if it's not a financial advise then why are you charging any money for it. It's not only immoral but has to be illegal as well. But as long as someone is giving it for free on his social media it shouldn't be considered illegal.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 02, 2022, 08:50:20 PM
Rain has stopped play and hopefully we will not miss the match and will be able to continue soon.

Sure, ICC just needed to tell the umpires to start the match as soon as the rain stops. And do not care about the wet outfield. Who knows they may have ordered to play in the rain too if the rain would not have stopped.  Cheesy

Congratulations to India win but please world is not blind  Smiley

Honestly I came today in this thread to watch people cry again for cheating Cheesy Cheesy anyways Shakib pretty much answered what any sane person would say, wet outfield always favours the batting team. Moreover, No one even knows for what Bangladeshi's were talking to Umpire but I understand anguish. i would have done the same if I were at your place.

In the first match by the way I saw even Netherlands manage to beat Zimbabwe. This has made things pretty clear now India and SA advance to the semis which was pretty much expected before the start of the tournament itself.
636  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs are like a digital prison but Bitcoin is the key on: November 02, 2022, 08:00:14 PM
Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) are the methods in which the government and financial institutions use to continue their control over it's citizens when the Fiat currency seems to be failing. These digital tokens help for monopoly as these bodies become the center of the system since every transaction that is being conducted is monitored, hence leaving the individual open to being a victim of EO6102 attack.

Bitcoin, according to financial operators, is regarded as a potential, existential threat which has come to upset the "equilibrium" on which the government lies. BTC receives much whiplash not just because of its volatility and unstability in price, which is made worse by the bear season by the way, but simply because there would be no means to control it since it operates on an open source peer-2-peer network which has no central authority.

While CBDCs tend to take away your privacy, Bitcoin protects privacy and finance and helps for accessibility to financial resources. Its aim is not just to make one rich or get more money, rather they present a new approach to freedom in many places where traditional banking holds full court.

https://bitcoinist.com/the-case-against-cbdcs-in-a-capitalist-society/
https://www.matter.ngo/bitcoin-freedom/

CBDC is fiat currency only, how can they expect people to rely on CBDC which is fiat by leaving fiat. You see whitepapers of all the CBDCs that are there you'll find all of them have common traits that their supply can be controlled by the Central bank which will decide how much supply to circulate so eventually if the supply can be controlled by single authority it means that person will control the whole economy of CBDC itself so I see no point as to why CBDC are different from fiat.
637  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Imagine a world without electricity on: October 30, 2022, 05:57:09 PM
The world is fast growing because most of the inventions are probably supported by electricity, in health care, education, transportation, engineering, entertainment etc. Electricity has played a vital role in global development and that brings me to the questions.. how would the world be in 2022 without electricity, why are the investors of this great technology not celebrated globally in a particular day to mark their great achievement, the date is only set on the 9th of January but the awareness isn’t known by most people. This great achievement by this legends are indeed special and needs more recognition
This is such a deep thought and the wierd part is that our ancestors just 100 years ago could have really very easily imagined this because for them this was what their life actually was but in just a matter of 100 years things have turned so much that even 1 minute of complete energy blackout of the world will not only will be disastrous but deadly as well. Definitely electricity is one of the most useful invention apart from wheel.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 30, 2022, 05:51:02 PM
I never imagined that India will play so badly in today's match. It is not at all expected that India will lose the match against South Africa in this match. India's two opening batsmen failed in today's match. As well as Virat Kohli and so on. If only these three batsmen could have scored some good runs for the team. Then India would not have lost the match like this. India's batsmen were decimated by South Africa's bowlers in today's match. I think it is a shame for India

South Africa seems to me to be one of the strongest teams in this World Cup. India's batting and fielding was very poor in today's match. If Suriya Kumar Yadav not played that innings, Team India might have been all out before making 100. India has problem with opening batsman. KL Rahul is performing very poorly in every match but still the management wants him to play in the next matches!

Now I will wait to see if South Africa can play the final or not.
Really true earlier i was thinking a final is probable between ind and NZ but after seeing RSA's performance against India my opinion has really changed. The problem is rains washed their matches so we couldn't see their full potential. I think now Pakistan which looks difficult but is the only threat to RSA otherwise they are through the semis.
639  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurs vs Solopreneurs on: October 30, 2022, 05:47:38 PM
I think solopreneur is basically an entrepreneur but just at a very initial stage. A stage until the entrepreneurs is so small that it does not requires the help of other people to manage it's functions but eventually when the venture will reach to a certain stage there is no way it can be handled individually you'll have to keep partners which maybe in any form and eventually take funding nd liquidate your holdings as well. So solopreneur is just an entrepreneur at a very initial stage.
640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to improve your trading results? on: October 30, 2022, 05:39:19 PM
Create your trading plan, work on it and stick to your plan - Achieving consistency and discipline

It is fascinating to see it start to pay off once you patiently work on it! And I wanted to share some of the rules I strictly followed here. It might help other traders and might add some value to the community here:

  • Systemizing the learning process
  • Thinking on effective ways of learning.
  • Build through small wins, not the biggest, but where's the easiest money for me to test and implement what I have learned
  • I learned that I mostly lost profits and even ended up with losses for being too greedy for more profits and deviating from my trading plan.
  • Set your take profit, and stop loss along with the right position sizing. Have a clear plan for what you want to achieve. (To learn how to set up your stop losses and effective position sizing, you can find it here.)
  • Don't let emotional elements affect your trading decision and harm your long-term profitability. (Automated trading helped me greatly with this and also with my trading discipline)
  • Set a risk limit for each trade, but also for a day/week/month.
  • Determine the right position size and start small
  • Increase the size of trades slowly if your account grows
  • Lower size or switch back to paper trading if your account doesn’t.
I think another big step which could have been added here stay away from tips and people who promise they earn 100% of their money daily, people who will say that they can make you rich in just a couple of weeks. And also from people who tell they have bots using which you can automate your trading set back and relax while the bot trades. There is no such readymade thing if there would have been such a thing everyone would be using it.
