I love the fact that they got humbled on their own ground in front of their noisy fans.

To be honest, the fans were shit. It is probably the last Klopp's European game at Anfield, and the crowd fumbled it completely.
We can still turn this around, but the team looks tired and it is apparent that we'll prioritize the PL so I won't be expecting miracles.

Thought that about the Barcelona game as well tho.. Grin

Championship question was so bizarre hahah. Leicester lost both away, Ipswich and Leeds drew only 1 out of 2 games at home against really weak opposition.
I think all teams will be furious, considering how their rivals performed they could have made huge steps towards the title/direct promotion.

Really not sure what made me change my answer to the handicap question but I'm not optimistic about it at all. Would have already celebrated a win if I picked 'no'.

I hope that you turn out to be right about it. 2.50 odds for Real Madrid under 1.5 goals is really great but this might be a trap. Normally the latest team that I would like to take on in the Champions League would be Real Madrid. By the way I think that the most successful name of all pools has been you so far this season. (Except BSFL as you relegated there  Tongue )

Yeah, so far. But I just dropped from 2nd to 4th in the PL pool so let's see where I end up - it still doesn't mean much.

I'll almost certainly be 2nd in CL pot A, probably top 5 (but expect better) in CL pot B, top 5 in the PL is looking certain as well, and I still feel I can attack the top spot there.
8th in Fantasy but that ship has sailed, 7th in F1 so far - so yeah, this season will be good to me. I expect over 5k$ in total in prizes.

Nice to see that personal vendettas are ruining decentralization for us all.

We as a society really don't deserve anything anymore.

I forgot about the early Saturday game so was late to make changes. I have Son as my captain instead of Salah, and Son would have been transferred to Gordon, I swear.
Considering that Son is blanking next and they were away to Toon you know he's going out, and only options in for me were Foden or Gordon and it was expected Foden wouldn't play, so you know I'm not lying.

Shame, I had Gvardiol and Isak - could have closed the gap to 5th a bit. With Son as captain and no Gordon I destroyed my chances.

It makes sense to try and bet on Rune today - the odds of 6.60 look like good value.
They played once against each other on clay, in last year's Monte Carlo semis, and Rune won in a closely fought match.

Sinner is surely the in-form player at this point in time, but on clay the odds on him shouldn't be so low.

I could not have anymore worst round. 0 correct pick out of 4 matches, missed to submit answers for Pot B, dropped 9 position on superbru ranking. There are not a single thing I was able to do it correctly and I feel I am out of the race now. Do we have only 7 matches left?

9 in Superbru (4 for return QF legs, 4 for semifinals (2+2) and 1 for the final). That's a maximum of 27 points left to play for, but it's actually way less. You can catch people that are 5-7 points ahead of you if you have perfect rounds until the end.

In Pot B there will be only 10 more points to wager, but there will be some options with high odds. You can probably expect a maximum of 70-80 points there if you hit the impossible - but let's see what buwaytress comes up with.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: April 12, 2024, 07:22:38 AM
I expected the basketball game to be a blowout honestly, so going for the more than 9 points win was an easy pick for me.

I wrote that question to lure people in. I assumed it would end like this - Zvezda and Partizan are hardcore rivals and there was no way for Zvezda to play their best basketball.

That game has just taken Jeremypwr back to level. Efes -10 was roughly 2.43, and -8 was around 1.90, so I didn't think Crevena would let it. I unticked the +10 points and ticked the 4-9 point option after seeing the odds, got played.

Then this happened to me. I did my evaluations, set up a perfect trap for you, then looked at the odds and fell into it myself.
I had 10+ as my 100% certain pick, really not sure why I decided to change it.

Frustrating, especially considering that I changed another pick - the handicap question.

I'm on the ropes, I'll probably win the tennis round but I wouldn't be surprised to lose the round on the handicaps stuff.

Medvedev and Zverev are both out of the tournament, Tsitsipas will probably claim that SF spot - which is what I was looking for anyway.
Đoković is a set up, all eyes are on Sinner anyway. He's a clear favorite by the bookies, I don't feel it will be so easy though.

I need more info. Maybe it is because I never watched walking dead and don't intend to do it anytime soon.

If you are trying to get under my skin at least explain it properly so I can appreciate the effort. Not gonna work anyway but really curious to hear more about it.

Dortmund should have scored at the end of the match to make it 2-2, this means I'm back to losing by 1 point.

The Championship thing is killing me - I investigated that thoroughly. I was sure if Leicester failed to win only 1 game, it would be enough for either Ipswich or Leeds to finish ahead of them.
They even lost the 1st one, but both Ipswich and Leeds only drew at home - meaning that Leicester is in the driving seat back again.

I don't think Milan scores 2 goals tonight though - it will be a cagey Italian knockout game.

I just checked Pot A - globally I'm in top 100 (currently 86th) out of 23k players. Still isn't enough for the top spot in our pool though, considering that Ulven is 32nd overall in the world rankings.
Sure, some people give up so the results are a bit skewed - but people from BTT always place really high on the world leaderboards.

Congrats Ulven - we all but secured the first 2 places. I did close a gap by 1 point in this round but I doubt I'll be able to catch you.

In Pot B I expected Hhampuz to defend his place and he went on the offensive again, didn't turn out that well for him this round.
I still have 18 points left to play for next week, if both hit I'll close the gap to less than 20 points and then it's game on in the last round.

While most of the people in top positions have lost points I want to take advantage of this opportunity. I like it more to play all of my stakes on a single match. Because of this I didn't have any bet placed in the first matches. I hope that Real Madrid stay under 1.5 goals next week. Smiley

Yeah, seems you're the only competition remaining outside of the 2 of us at the top. I like your pick and think you're joining us at the top.

Who knows, maybe Sportsbet makes some kind of real-life gathering with 5 aside football tournament included. Long odds for sure but you never know. Going to play with my mates later tonight to keep the form just in case. Both on the pitch and in what we like to call "3rd half" in Croatia.

I tried over poker already, I asked for a 11v11 - SB vs BTT Grin
It's impossible to organize of course, but it doesn't mean I won't keep bugging them about it.

I haven't checked the spreadsheet yet, but I just put on my TV to catch Tennis from Monte Carlo just to discover that Carlos Alcaraz pulled out of the tournament due to an injury, was this before the deadline and does anyone knew before they submitted their answers or used VAR for it ?

Well, I didn't and neither was aware that Carlitos pulled out, so my opponent with the advantage already if they knew.

Yup, it was known a few hours before the deadline. Some people waited for the news, 3 of them used VAR after the news broke out.
This turned out really well, those that paid attention now have a small advantage compared to their opponents. It might just save my ass in the end.

...
but what I don't understand is why the ref labeled the Gabriel handball in the box a "kid mistake". WTF is a kid mistake in an adult game.

Yup, I cannot understand this at all. Why would he even take the ball in his hand even if he could? You're a footballer, use your legs.
It s so incredibly stupid, a totally unnecessary risk to take. If the penalty was awarded (and it should have been), it would have been one of the dumbest mistakes in CL's history.

Arsenal could have won it in final minutes and given me an advantage, but in BSFL I always dance on the narrowest of margins - so it's 0-1 instead of 1-0. Still confident in the rest of my picks to turn this around.

Damn, LFC_Bitcoin and myself are the only ones with any points from yesterday's games?
31 different submissions have been made for these 2 games, we have 6,5% efficiency rate Grin

I had 4 stakes on Real, hopefully I won't need these points later on. I still have some for the return leg in play.

What a day yesterday, eh? Can't expect any better football than this.
Real-City is surely one of the better games in recent years. Fantastic performance from both teams.

Damn it! When was it announced that Alcaraz is withdrawing from the tournament?

A few hours before the deadline, 2 or 3 maybe? He was a doubt, it was known he is having issues - but I would have put 'yes' if it wasn't announced before the deadline. Not smart to go against him on clay even when he's injured.

Imarios has Bayern not to lose, so I need Arsenal to turn this around. They seem like the better side but Bayern was ruthless so far - 2 shots, 2 goals.

Really hate that bot games are played at the same time when we have some final worthy pairs.

Yup, fully agree here. They spread it throughout multiple weeks in groups and R16 so you can watch more Barcelona - Shakhtar games and then put these 2 at the same time so you have to miss Arsenal - Bayern.

I'll try to put one on laptop while watching the other one on TV, but CL is all about the money and revenue so this does seem like a bizarre decision and it's like this for ages.
I know schedules are tight, but it's CL. At least move it 15 minutes so we can catch parts of it during halftime/after finish of the other one.

Anyway, Im sure I had submitted before the deadline but it seems the timestamp in the spreadsheet is abit messed up? its currently 16.45 right now isnt it

You're good, it takes our local time (GMT+2) into consideration. Everybody submitted on time, even Navidart who's unfortunately had 3 strikes already and is out of the competition for this season.

I had a lot of issues with this round's answers and am happy to see that I don't have that many different answers from Imarios. In the ones where answers are different, I prefer mine to his Grin
Alcaraz gives me an advantage in tennis, but to get a point there I need Sinner in the semis - which should happen I guess.

Trying to catch up here so help me out: if Sainz is such a great driver, why doesn't he have a place yet next season? He waiting for RB to court him or?

He's not great, Perez is just shit Grin
Actually, Sainz would be great for RB - at least I feel so. A better driver than Perez, yet not good enough to trouble Verstappen.

Currently RB doesn't care, their car is too good again. But if Ferrari starts to close the gap, Perez is the weak link that might cost you the title.

You're doing it in an elite league, which is understandable, but I'm in a farmers league. The current league leader is a relegated team that went nearly winless in Division 1. Do you realise how awful it is for the Sheriff's crest?

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to this clash. It's in the last round of the season and it will be so rewarding to push you to Division 3 myself.
I'll kick you so hard it'll take years to recover. Nobody will even remember that the Sheriff existed at all.

640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2024 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: April 09, 2024, 09:51:52 AM
I did well, but a lot of you did better. Was 2nd, am now 7th, still a long season to go.
I made a mistake in trusting Ferrari too much, but I simply cannot put Perez ahead of Sainz. Sainz is 4 times better driver.

There's always a balance what to do after the qualifiers. It was known after that RB will dominate, but to change it and lose 2 points is always a risk.
