I think with cloud computing it put an end to most of this. Since companies just reloaded their previous backed up files instead of dealing with these scammers. Good that they were caught.
It didn't put an end to ransomware attacks, the hackers will just create new ways to exploit the current way that their ransomware attacks have been defeated, I am sure that cloud computing isn't anything that's difficult for them, as long as it's got some connection to the company's infrastructure, they're going to find a way to it. It's just that right now they are still perfecting their ways. In regards to the article, that's a pretty cool way to destroy a botnet operation, to have them destroy themselves with just an uninstaller, thank God email stuff isn't that prevalent in my country because if so, a lot of people will be getting these ransomware attacks through emails. I couldn't agree more, wasn't that clever of them? What the FBI seized was only but a fraction of what they have stolen from people in 2008. If randsomware has been going since 2008 just think of all the crypto in addition to USD funds I mean it's got to be billions and billions we are talking here.

They will approve Blackrock to run it but it really should be grayscale that gets the chance to convert their trust into an ETF. I do wonder what Blackrock etf will look like though....

I mean brics has been an alliance for a long time and they haven't really done anything but if you ask me now it seems like they are finally picking up some momentum and drawing attention away from the USD. It's a shame all of these other countries have turned on American probably due to America's poor leadership and management of funds / policies.... America is a complete circus right now with all that is going on. It really is a shame. Faith in USD Declining and BTC is a great hedge so dump the cash it's trash, focus on the real assets and cash flow!

This main currency there have been reports that Russia is trying to come up with their own gold backed currency. I wonder if they will go back to backing on gold if it will be helpful and successful. USD was basically pegged to the dollar before and now the Saudis have followed suit with BRICs due to start in 1 day so I wonder if they would play a crucial role in pegging the main currency to oil or gold or a combination of both?

John McAfee was suprised that it wasn't at 1 million when he was still breathing, he is turning in his grave right now! 1 million dollars per coin is in Bitcoins future I assure you son.

It's exactly what JP Morgan did when they wanted to buy more to get a good entry price, Jamie Dimon said it was a scam and used to launder money and the price tanked and simultaneously his company's were all buying it lol. Just know if they say that to grab more haha

Bitcointalk is a well-known forum in the crypto industry where being a reputable member is like a dream for many. There are some security measures that can be taken to protect your bitcoin talk account from being stolen or hacked. A user can add secret questions, and stake their BTC address in the forum to protect their account. Despite this sometimes accounts got hacked and are taken by hackers.
So why don't we add a Google authentication option as a security feature to the forum? This could prevent from account being stolen if the user never showed up after a long period of inactivity or his password has been compromised.
I don't think there is any need here for this due to the back door account password which I believe can't be changed on here. But honestly how effective even is 2fa? There are still security flaws even with that I suspect, but hey its better than nothing right As much as I support you that this is of no need, even hacked accounts could be recovered if proper channels are followed, I will not support you that 2FA is not good. It's a higher layer of security and can't be as less secure as using only passwords. The only issue is that it can lead to more privacy compromise depending on what layer of 2FA they are adding. You know what you're right about the hacked accounts but if it leads to your personal info being online and susceptible to being hacked some how, what is the best way to remain completely anonymous with 2fa? Is there a way? Because to my understanding it has to be linked somehow to the original account owner. So as long as it's burner account info I guess it's good. What is generally the best practice for discreet 2fa?

I'd say it's highly likely chief. Russia is too big and rich in culture and vodka and crazy fucking bears drunk on vodka to fail so bad and become 3rd world country. You guys will be fine currently you're just Putin it all on the ruble though 😉

One day the world might have a lot less of a need for oil, but that time is nowhere near close. Crude oil frackers should most definitely have an interest in securing their wealth and non renewable income sources for generations to come so why not diversify and put another crypto mining operation in the middle of the desert in tbe middle east?

When you laid out this plan I hope you were prepared for 7 pages worth of harsh criticism, from economists to bitcoin maxis and enthusiasts alike hahahha. Your strategy was not very well laid out if this plan goes sideways on you. For your sake I hope it goes well because from what I can tell your mind is made up

Picture a coin with an actual digital layer to it, almoat like a Google watch sort of device or something as the obverse. As a bonus this coin can tell time and have a time locking mechanism to unlock the funds to any finder once a certain date is reached. But it's made of pure silver or gold like an old pocket watch apart from the electric components and has the ability to produce a hologram of the public key. This can be achieved maybe with a black background and color image and an additional plastic component to create the hologram. This would also be a new take on the hologram, instead of the little shiny sticker it would be an actual projection, how sick would that be?! Just having some fun ideas here and wanted to concsptualize it, don't mind me lol

According to the Finbold article, ‘Rich Dad’ R. Kiyosaki predicts Bitcoin to $1 million if the economy crashes. This is food for thought for those who are foreseeing the economic crash and are unable to find a safe haven for their investments. Due to the current economic situation and the BRICS, the crash of the dollar seems obvious. Although it will not happen instantly as the US Government will bail out packages in order to maintain the dollar value, however, the question is for how long? Some people are of the view that if there is an economic crash, then the stock market and the commodities market will crash and so will the bitcoin price will tremble. This may happen but I think the bitcoin will recover quickly and people will invest in the bitcoin. And who knows bitcoin may not fall at all if all this happens in a slow and steady fashion. Truth is that we have been seeing this economic crash in real time, it's just in slow motion. Right now with interest rates the way they are and inflation the way it is, the only logical track is that the dollars will be spread so thin soon that the entire building will collapse! Right now the building is still holding up, but there are so many problems and support is beginning to show signs of fracture! So people see that figure on BTC and laugh and say no way, but those are the people that don't understand the first thing about money lol

If you think about inflation, taxes and your salary at the same time, you'll understand how the government eats you alive. Let's start with the fact that იf you live in Europe and have a normal salary, you have to leave almost half of it in taxes. Then, when you want to go for shopping and buy something in store, including food, clothes, technics, etc, you have pay your taxes of those items with already taxed money. Then, the store owner has to pay taxes of the income his store generated. Distributors, who deliver things to these stores, have to pay taxes too. Then there are vehicle taxes, property taxes. So, absolutely everything is taxed and on top of that, our salary is taxed and even on top of that, we experience inflation. This is not fair!
So, my legitimate question is, after all the robbery, a person, who doesn't pay taxes, is a bad person for the society or not? More likely I want to get answer from those whose countries have a model similar of European healthcare and employment insurance.
In each country the government has to pay taxes to the people according to the specific law which varies from country to country. you must pay taxes as directed by the government as it will help the country to develop. If you avoid taxes, you may grow financially but your country will suffer. So for you it is not considered good if your country is harmed it must be a bad thing. But at the end of every financial year people evade taxes by adopting different methods, it is not new and not unusual. But in my opinion it is not right to do so and it is also a crime in terms of law It's never a bad thing if you can manage to legally avoid paying taxes though the utilization of an LLC and tax write offs. If you become the master of the tax codes and maximize those write off I don't believe that this is a crime. The real crime is the taxation!!! And unfortunately the taxpayer money is usually spent in the most irresponsible way that has no benefit to the people actually forking over the dough.

Wow somehow I missed this alert, but then again it has been a crazy wild month and a half for me. Pay Pal launching a stable coin I'd say is very bullish for crypto. I wonder what affect, if any this will have on BTC and other altcoins as a whole in terms of fund movement to and from their stable coin. Will PayPal try to reinvent itself and become a US crypto exchange?

It is funny isn't it, I call it the Bitcoin Blame game. Most of the time people who don't have a pulse with what's going on at all will talk about it like they know. Like SpaceX causing the price to go down, it's a baseless claim as the article states and the claim has no credibility. What makes a lot of sense is attributing these losses to a multitude of factors which I think this article did a good job of laying out. Thanks for sharing.

The first sentence I am dying laughing and couldn't agree more lol. Schwab has had the grayscale options for a while now, semi decent exposure to crypto for the skeptics less the 2 percent fee, yikes! I didn't know about their new shifty etf with "crypto exposure companies" Visa I want to say invested in the lightning network or something to that extent. Microstrategy no surprise there! Coinbase I've never been a fan of but I'm sure there stock is doing semi decent? Lol idk. I think they are missing out on a huge one, Nvidia! And quite a few others. Those schwabby Schwabs, you can't teach an old dog new tricks quite well can you? Haha. You'd think they would want to include Bitcoin Depot which just went live on a NASDAQ IPO (bitcoin ATM company)
