Can I make a request? FUD-trolls at Poloniex keep claiming that user "loljosh" is the XC-dev. Can we get a solid response on that from the XC dev that we can quote/cite to squash them as needed?
Well if we are just asking stupid questions at this point I would like to get a solid response from loljosh that he is not atcsecure. Matter of fact I would also like to ask KFC what makes it so finger lickin good. Jesus Christ..a majority of the people who just rant in here have no idea what is going on. I've been doing this quite a while and this is a coin with more potential then most, hell it has more potential then over 1/2 the coins in the CMC top 10 but no one see's that. To make matters worse we have potential investors come through here and all they see is a bunch of down syndrome fudders and idiots who have no clue about any of this and just repeat what they hear like parrots. I can't believe Tek and the other mods/devs havent gone AWOL at this point dealing with the most ludicrous and obscene accusations from nobodies and skeptics. They continue to be patient and answer all questions yet the shit doesn't stop. Sad what the community has come to where greed surpasses advancement and noone cares about the potential here. They slander to tarnish reputations instead of asking questions about it to learn. They fling shit and fly of the handles about what some asshat wrote in a trollbox. If you can't comprehend how big this coin could potentially be, especially with the team behind it then just sell and move on. The progress in just mere weeks is crazy and I know there is a lot coming around the corner. I commend atc and tek and all involved for the efforts they have put forth and their patience in dealing with a few of our inbred users and I look forward to the announcement this weekend with the Sunday updates. Not really. I pointed DRK's dev to the fact that ring sigs create scaling and vast bloat issues that might make DRK a coin that can't be used for mainstream adoption / a DOA product. He said he came up with an idea to get a comparable level of anonymity without the ring sig bloat that he'll implement in RC3. Lets assume he can't get the same level of anonymity without ring signatures. In that case, isn't the bloat worth being the only way to get decentralised anonymity? You're making the assumption that there aren't any other ways of achieving decentralized anonymity. Decentralised anonymity has been the topic of discussion since day one of Bitcoin. Almost all the Bitcoin developers have tried to come up with a solution, the Zerocoin team came up with their idea using cutting edge mathematics and CryptoNote was a genuine surprise, it was a very well developed idea (see their whitepaper) But the XC developer claims to have achieved the same in mere weeks what many very smart people have been trying for years. CryptoNote took two years to develop, Zerocoin has been under construction for over a year. But XC does it in a weekend. That is why I am skeptical, and what the developer says does not sound convincing. If you read back a bit there are posts from the DEV saying that this has been in the works for a bit, not just over the weekend. I still remain partially speculative myself but I got some faith in it to succeed. |

dedicatedpool does seem to be stealing coins latelay and it was reported multiple times. If you try to report it in their chat binaryclock will just ban you there.
Failed launches:
Binaryclock fucked up not only supercoin launch, but violincoin launch as well. I believe there was annother failed launch that I've heard of, but that is the time when I wasn't personally fucked up by dedicatedpool like with supercoin and violincoin
Binaryclock is one of the most honest, knowledgable, helpful people that I have met. It's disgusting that you come onto these boards and try to tarnish his reputation. +1 Don't fuck with binary dude. He is one of the few legit pool operators left in this scam world of alt coins. He is prompt to address issues and he works hard to keep everything up and running. He is a real person and does have a real life outside of this. |

well after a marathon work week, with very little sleep or food, I am going to celebrate this huge milestone and then get some rest!!!

I just started mining XC today and it sounds like it won't be mine-able once it goes to PoS? I am new to this so not sure what PoS means compared to PoW and if I should even be bothering to mine now?

Moving from POS just means that after POW (Which is the mining portion) the only way to obtain coins would be to stake them in your wallet ( Holding them in a personal wallet not an exchange) or to purchase them. |

The proof is in the pudding and this is the kind of coin that will move ahead of the others sooner then we may think. No marketing needed here, the market knows what is in store for this coin and that alone is better then any kind of promotion. |

Yes I see it, but nevertheless I don't think it is good for the long term run. For example some investors avoid nxt because they have a distribution problem. I don't know if it is possible to have a richlist for anon coin but still the doubt for an unfair distribution is enough to avoid people. In the next month there will be plenty of anon coins and we have to compete with them. people have the choice. They will not pick a scam coin.
I guess I don't see how how whether mining goes on for 1 day or 1,000 days really effects distribution, either way it is the big multipools who will be getting all the coins. If you want the coin then why not buy it, at this point it's just a few cents a coin, hardly expensive. This gets a +1 from me as well |
