621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert F Kennedy Jr a Bitcoin Holder on: July 09, 2023, 05:31:03 PM
BIT-BENDER holds Bitcoin, how does this sound well ordinary, nothing special right, yes that's how Mr Kennedy owning a Bitcoin is meant to sound, I don't care if he has a first name that's recognized, I don't care if in his case he is known and I am not the fact is that we should start seeing people owning Bitcoin as something not so special, that's how Bitcoin adoption can grow.
622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I make an anonymous post? on: July 09, 2023, 04:39:55 PM
Firstly is a good thing we don't have such features anymore because I think it would give users the window to make spam post and even worse make post that can lead to a user getting scammed.

But the forum already protects your privacy, you are using a name you assigned for yourself when registering, no one automatically knows your identity except you want them to I think That's good anonymity, the only reason you would not want people to know it's your account when you make a post has a high chance of the intention being a negative one.
623  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW TO AVOID DOUBLE POSTING (CLOUDFARE ISSUE) on: July 09, 2023, 04:28:58 PM
I don't know how it works on your device but if you have posted a reply before and it has actually reflected on the thread but for some reasons like glitch, network issues or whatever you not directed to the post you just made, if you then choose to send it again it should take you to a page where it's written you may have accidentally wanted to send same thing twice.

But this isn't really a big problem if you have some Patience when trying to make a post I think I would help you to avoid posting the same thing twice
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 08, 2023, 09:17:00 PM
Well to most non gamblers they mostly see gamblers as addicts and some go the extreme to consider all gamblers criminals, gang members and so on, it's the perception of gambling that is wrong.

I won't consider my self a successful gambler because I have never seen gambling as my source of income, although I play the game I do it mostly for fun and excitement, but I won't consider successful gamblers as addicts because it's based on the individual, some might be addicted while others aren't

626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 08, 2023, 07:34:20 PM
Bitcoin acceptance is fast becoming global and I actually don't know where you are from but acceptance isn't far fetched and it's a gradual process which would be achieved.

I think your major concern is you personally accepting Bitcoin we could start from there, there are many opportunities to use Bitcoin even from a country where the government have issues with Crypto-currency I know this because I am also from such country.
627  Other / Off-topic / Re: When learning stops. on: July 08, 2023, 06:38:46 PM
I presume that you have learnt alot yourself? Don't get me wrong but I think it's very easy to make this sort of post and even those who hasn't learnt anything can just get there device and come up with something like this.

This isn't saying you have not learnt anything but if you aim at helping Bitcoin I think detailed help would be better like you talked about things they may be having problems learn, you can help them by writing on those topics and giving them your thoughts on it, well this is harder than just giving encouragement but it is more helpful.
628  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can BTC or crypto users play politics in Nigeria? on: July 08, 2023, 06:33:43 PM
God question, but I think we had one of the worse government in our countries history and all they successfully did in their regime was to make life more difficult for citizens, the government had lots of serious matters on their hands but rather they faced Bitcoin and felt that they could stop the growth of crypto-currency in the country but as we could see it the lost.

Well I don't think it's a full ban on crypto from the previous government but regardless the current government has promised to support the growth of crypto-currency in the country so let's see how they do.
629  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 08, 2023, 05:31:16 PM
I think you should rephrase your question and put it in the best way, when you talk about owning a luxury watch that definitely means it's a very expensive watch, now relating to to your question would the amount of Bitcoin and other asset be the same as the luxury watch.

If the whole assets would be of same amount then in my own opinion it would be Bitcoin and that's not even a hard to decide on, Bitcoin in my own opinion would do more than those asset in the future.
630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 08, 2023, 05:23:13 PM
Since I joined this forum I have always wanted to invest in Bitcoin however Bitcoin investments in my country is not easy because of our currency value and the government is not in much support am currently working on convincing my mom to accepting Bitcoin in her tailoring shop i Also intend on hodling those Bitcoins

I would appreciate any advice on this my move

I don't know you country and I won't jump into any conclusion but if your are from a developing country I would say you should have a better thought about this. I believe critical thinking of every situation can make things right.

Let's say your mum is a Tailor well to break it down to other who doesn't know how things work in developing country, your mum is not a big time fashion designer, she sows for client let's say mainly her age and if she is above 50 years then that's range and maybe some few younger females are her customers.

Adding to the fact you wrote about your country government stands on Bitcoin, I don't think your mum would have more of Bitcoin holders so stressing her to accept Bitcoin isn't promoting Bitcoin adoption but actually making your mum confused. You should first teach your mum about bitcoin, about the benefits and disadvantages and everything, then let her make her choice then I think she can talk to her customers and friends about it. Only when they full understand and accepts Bitcoin then can she put it as a medium of exchange in her business. What's the essence of making Bitcoin a means of exchange when you may not have anyone using it.
631  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to get mod jobs on any crypto platforms on: July 07, 2023, 08:51:31 PM
Well except you an alien from another world then the system of hiring in the cryptocurrency world is same as how people in other aspect hire, there is no special thing here for you to know or understand that you haven't heard already.

First competency, it's only those who merit the job description that gets the job so you have to have a good competence level and if you don't you can actually go and build yourself. Then create awareness you can do that by promoting your service and hopefully it would get to your prospective employer, and very importantly having a positive attitude.
632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding Wallets vs Exchanges, how to choose a good exchange on: July 07, 2023, 07:02:36 PM
Well it's really a good topic but mate I am sorry to say many post has been made about same topic and going through the body of you post j actually don't see much different from yours with others I have seen.

Selecting wallet and exchange is very important, exchange is where people can get cryptos of their choice while a wallet is where people can actually store this coins they have gotten so going by that it's very important to understand so as to avoid having to make mistakes.

Here is a very interesting link that would be beneficial for you and others

633  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Dangote Advices Nigerian Entrepreneurs. on: July 07, 2023, 06:31:39 PM
In Nigeria this days it's fast becoming a competition of who is living the best life and we then see people leaving above their means just to feel a sense of belonging. I think that advice for Aliko Dangote is a very important one.

As a young man in business, entrepreneur you definitely need to has strong discpline, you have to think more about the future that the present, always try to reinvest and your priority is to further expand your business.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the way to Prosperity for a Determined Dreamer on: July 07, 2023, 05:55:13 PM
Bitcoin was made for more than just that, if you are a determined goal getter you don't necessarily need to be into Bitcoin in other to achieve wealth, I think this is a newbie thought and can actually lead to crushed dream rather than a brighter dream.

The first principle I have is that I always want to see Bitcoin as a financial system ungrade to that of the normal traditional system, and any other benefits you can get from Bitcoin is secondary, I think the more successful Bitcoin investor were rich even before the got into Bitcoin
635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you Have Any Bitcoin Stories from a Decade Ago? on: July 07, 2023, 05:34:20 PM
Well one of the story is about an individual who sold his Bitcoin of 10k to someone for a pizza, he is the loser here, he has accepted it going by his attitude during some of the Interview he has had.

While the other story is about some one who at a long time ago believed in Bitcoin or surrounded by people who believed in Bitcoin and chances are he owns a good number of Bitcoin, and if he still does I would understand for him to remain anonymous he won't want to entertain any unnecessary familiarity by granting interview request.
636  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Senate wants end to police harassment and extortion on: July 06, 2023, 06:52:10 PM
This is just hypocritical of the Senate to say they are pushing for the ending of Police harassment and extorting, I think it's just another charade they have come up with to confuse the general public and It better we become wise.

Nigeria is amongst the backwards country where individuals like senators,(politicians in general), celebrities and even individuals that are rich regardless of the source of wealth can go and hire the services of the police to walk around. And we saw how the elections went were the police were employed as thugs to disrupt the elections.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion - Being an Active Poster in the Gambling Board on: July 06, 2023, 06:38:09 PM
I think this is amongst the best board if you ask me but many members would disagree, with me. But I used to be a very active poster on this board, I am not a deep artery type of gambler but I have found gambling to be a very good way to laugh and relax.

I am a good lover of sports too ranging from football to boxing, tennis, Golf and formula one, and I see this board as one that helps me express my passion for the beautiful games of sport although there are spammers her it should not be labeled as a board meant for low quality posters.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Will The Next Bitcoin Bull-Run Be? and Binance CEO Says... on: July 06, 2023, 05:38:15 PM
Well I have to agree with him on somethings he said. Unlike what people think that the year if Bitcoin halving has always brought in a bull run, this has not been so as many time the year of the halving never sees the bull run but the bull run comes after the Bitcoin halving year.

Well like I have always said that predictions aren't certain so it could still happen that the bull run might be same year as the halving which is 2024.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The hypocrisy of the UK on Cryptocurrency on: July 06, 2023, 05:34:23 PM
Pardon me but I don't know why this is surprising to you or even making you scared, just like UK other government of lots of countries are doing same thing, they are trying to frustrate crypto-currency enthusiast by making Transaction hard in terms of bank and exchange connection.

My country too has such regulations and restrictions but we crypto-currency enthusiast has still always survive infact many more people has got into crypto in my countries.

There are lot of ways to still carry out your crypto activities without any restrictions, you just have to avoid centralized exchange and avoid crypto platform in link with the government.
640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: General Crypto on: July 06, 2023, 04:44:53 PM
Use decentralized exchanges like Bisq. All centralized exchanges can be hacked, do not believe in them. There are some other decentralized exchanges that you can use too but I prefer Bisq.
https://bisq.network/
Decentralized exchange too can be hacked, they are good for privacy. Read other posts, like the one posted by cryptoaddictchie
Permit me to differ I don't think there is any platform that can't be hacked even the accounts of the most protected secret agent can still be hacked, this is a believe I have always had and has help me not to be complacent in anything especially in things that has to do with crypto-currency

I am a big user of decentralized exchanges I love the fact that it protects my identity by supporting privacy protection and anonymity but definitely I won't straight forward say an exchange can't be hacked, the fact that it hasn't yet happened doesn't mean it can happen always protect yourself and follow simple rules and instructions.
