621  Economy / Economics / Re: new central banks currenicies vs fiat currency? on: November 19, 2020, 04:57:14 PM

the goverments have plan to create their own cryptocurrenicies, so the btc and eth was just testing currencies to see how it works and get people to use with cryptocurrenies?
I don't think government will and want to go the Cryptocurrency way, there are other huge side of economical effects when a country currency is pegged to cryptocurrency.
How do you think the relationship between volatility and economical growth will react, it will be a suicide which will be even centralized by big players and politicians. Let's assume your country releases a coin prototype for example of 31 million and governments decide to withhold 70%, how will you feel?
Have you thought about change of regime? This are my reasons and opinion.

Quote
first whats wrong with fiat currency?
There are so many thing wrong with fiat currency, for example : devaluation of value, Price Instability and concentration of wealth to certain groups of powerful people. This is pure wickedness which is heartedly entertained by average people in the real world.
In cryptocurrency, this has birth to DeFi and its really working except for some little difficulties.
622  Economy / Economics / Re: Mexico's billionaire invests in Bitcoin on: November 19, 2020, 08:11:00 AM
There are prominent investors that have been on this space and have been doing cost average ever since bitcoin collapsed and will continue to do so until they accumulate some percentage and be the leader. Take a look at Goldman Sachs how they have been accumulating bitcoin because they believe it will surge to a million in the next 5 years. While I believe their theoretical knowledge and mind towards bitcoin is to grow, more people have started to live to more expectations about bitcoin.
Banks were on the verge of stopping bitcoin transactions in my country, they continued to threatened and suspend accounts that has transactions details with BTC but today, almost all managers and banks workers have a share of their own wallet with Btc. It may takes years but Bitcoin will always be the top of the game and hedge against traditional financial instruments and inflation.

624  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you like to become a co-owner of a world bank? on: November 15, 2020, 09:21:36 PM
Critically looking at his path compared and contrast with the activities that are been carried out on smart contract with altcoins, I wouldn't think his culture is been respected.
There were many news and times were USDT custodian were confiscating users fund due to their actions and activities unknown to the public. There were many times team change smart contracts once the system doesn't really favour their plans, this is why bitcoin is so different and unique in many ways with altcoins ( shitcoins are even worse to begin with).
Bitcoin has unbanked some many countries who really lack access to banking system. The last peaceful protest in my country is example, donation were made through bitcoin making them thier on Bank since central Bank decided to confiscated their account.
625  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: November 15, 2020, 05:30:55 PM
As long as the government is still heavily involved in matters concerning finance, the full adoption of cryptocurrency will still be an issue. Cryptocurrency is not centralised and this is the real reason why the government is still considering adopting it up till this extent cause it's adoption means the government will no longer be in charge of money and we all know what their stance on that is.

I don't really like the idea of government poking their nose in cryptocurrency but don't you think their existence is also good in other to cub and eradicate users from using it for bad things such as dark web. We have seen many attempts of Hackers and kidnappers hidden behind monero to get ransom, scammers disguising as influencers and official handles. It's not bad when they are involved though I prefer when we have regulations that are favorable for everyone.
Talking about adoption, we have seen similar adoption in many countries such as
  • Facilitating Currency Exchange
  • Going Cashless
  • Easier Online Transactions
  • Appreciation as a Debt Solution
626  Economy / Economics / Re: Look like covid is over Once we take loans on: November 15, 2020, 02:19:36 PM

Looks like this pandemic virus didn't affect your country, you wouldn't have make blind conclusions but let me be real with you buddy, covid-19 is serious as hell.
I'm really affected and the fear isn't just a conspiracy theory to joke with in the first place. We were locked down for six good months without access to activities outside which affected everyone and business. There was also  rise in general price of goods and services as inflation till today.
You think bank is still the solution? Centralization everytime, why don't you we allow and give chance to Decentralized environment and see if it will really workout.
The average man you are talking about, banks wouldn't consider because they lack networking and inexperienced in this field. You hardly see a free spot job that requires newbie. Why would an average person even take loan to start a business that he/she doesn't have experience about, just like digging a timing bomb for the first time.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think crypto stand a chance agaisnt the financial system on: November 14, 2020, 09:35:10 PM
It shouldn't be against the financial system but working together as we already see it's working

I often hear people say cryptocurrency especially bitcoin will replace bank but that's absolute.
I can't really say about altcoins in general but Bitcoin was never intentionally built to replace bank and it's not even feasible when you think bank will cease to exist because we want bitcoin.
Banks will operate on their and cryptocurrency is king on their lane, and will work together now and in the future, PayPal is one of the examples and the traction is about to explode in few years.
Imagine if Amazon integrate cryptocurrency as Payment on their platform, that will be a combo for all cryptocurrency investors.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be very cautious with your alts this period, you either sell early or hold. on: November 14, 2020, 05:41:10 PM
Now is the best time to hold some altcoins, don't go around dumping good altcoins for little profits, the real profits is yet to come, do good research on new projects and hold them if they are good enough, you can start trading since bitcoin is bullish too, trading is more profitable in bullish time
.
Bitcoin is the only coin that has been on the show of this bull run and some top altcoins such as Ether, Uni, Dot and some gem altcoins. Don't you think it will be dangerous to your portfolio if you do so, it's better to be neutral than jump to conclusions.
If bitcoin running should continue from this point, I fear altcoins will suffer for the rest of the month until the dominance reduce small and then altcoins may have the rest of the year and December month.
Have you have a thought that this may be similar to 2017 bull run Grin Grin
Bitcoin seems not ready to go down even on weekend, unlike the past month that we do have some little shake of hands by market markers. Tongue
629  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the hour : Use the Crisis on: November 14, 2020, 05:23:54 PM
Here is something we need to understand. Life is all about changes and we human easily adapt to changes and way of life. Life can be unfair at times and I am a living example.
Let's use BITCOIN as life example to human and the pandemic effects.
So, the Asians part of the the country saw the virus and pull out of the market before everyone does, this made bitcoin to fell badly and over sold, some altcoins went to almost zero in some exchanges but how do you see bitcoin today, its bounce back with full force. Same goes with us human. I don't expect the next wave of pandemic will really have big effect. Most countries has seen worst and are already taking safety measures.
About way forward?
I'm looking forward how to complete my undergraduate degree.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be very cautious with your alts this period, you either sell early or hold. on: November 13, 2020, 09:53:09 PM
This remind me of 2018, that was the period I joined cryptocurrency movements when all Alts were bleeding day by day, week by week and as we each new month the market continues to tank in red. So many were afraid that Bitcoin was even going to zero but was bottom at $3kbto $4k region.
what is the future of altcoins with this bitcoin bull run?
Personally, I will sell my Alts at this point as the next move is not certain but bitcoin may do another weekly wick to the downside to clean long tradersbor it might go up and better still hold onto bitcoin instead of altcoins.
When bitcoin make a major correction of - 10%, altcoins ( shit coins) may bleed their entire yearly gains.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Great news for XRP coin holders? on: November 13, 2020, 03:08:01 PM
This is nothing but just ordinary airdrop inform of incentive for Xrp holders. It's a way to make  some penny and not really significant adoption.
Until XRP team take the bull by the horn otherwise institutional investors wouldn't see them as true and real gem like others when compared to Cadano. Despite their fall since 2017,they have managed to upgrade their network with many development and price is better. I don't know why ripple is finding it difficult to do the same.
They can shill the hell out of the community, it happened on all projects. I have seen it work for tezos and Chain link but perhaps the trust isn't longer remaining in their community.
632  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 13, 2020, 11:30:20 AM
There is something everyone must understand in this game.
First there is nothing like free money in life, it's either inflow from individuals or coperate organizations and institutional investors.
Have we asked ourselves? The billions of USDT that were minted the past months? That's a lot of money from investors even if tether is not fully back as they claimed.
This guys are interested in bitcoin because they believe in the future that's their aim in the first place, they will definitely do anything to call adoption for everyone so as for them to have profits in their sweat.
PayPal for example announced yesterday that they will be increasing US communities trading amount of Bitcoin to $20k from $10k as promised and will be fully backed by real  BTC. It's all plan and they have all bought bitcoin when it was very low. Imagine PayPal were accumulating bitcoin when it was around $4k and others were shouting covid-19. Cool Cool

Let's hope this goes as planned, I am hoping this news will break previous all time.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Defi project like game pump and dump on: November 12, 2020, 09:34:07 PM
It's easier to identify pump and dump projects if you are a discipline fellow, what I meant by been disciplined is not been too greedy yourself, pump and dump projects always have something too good to be true to attract greedy people faster, like higher percentage returns that can never be possible from any legit business, greedy people easily get carried away by such offers

Have you ask yourself why even the experts risk their fund on this hype?
Because we don't really know the one to succeed and the one that will end up as sheet coins. This is one of the reason why everyone joined the hype to make quick cash.
Have you wonder why even the YouTube channels were shilling Chain Link when it was trading around $3-$4?
That's because they have their bag filled at lower prices and whales from twitter included. After stacking their bag the next thing they do is to find gullible ones ( greedy as you stated ) to fomo, they take thier profits as soon as they reach target leaving them with heavy loses. Look at link price today, from $20 to current price of $13. Thats a loss of 40+%
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020... Altseason? on: November 12, 2020, 12:10:26 PM
For many altcoins, I think 2020 was a bad year. Seeing Bitcoin's dominance in the market which reaches 64%, only a few altcoins have increased in price because investors prefer to invest in Bitcoin. But I think Bitcoin's dominance will decrease next year because new investors will come and altcoins have a chance to go up in price

You really meant what you said on your first paragraph?
How can you say 2020 was bad year for altcoins, perhaps you want their performance to be like that of 2017. Things has change, investors are looking for adoption and usecase than just ordinary shill projects with nothing to show for. Check year till date of top 100 coins and token on market cap, you will find out they have performed extremely okay with atleast a 100% ROI. That's pretty good compared to traditional instruments and assets. Check gold and Bitcoin, you wouldnt complain about altcoins.
On contrary to OP, the year has ended, I don't really see new Altcoin season but may be come 2021,we likely see bull run.
635  Economy / Economics / Re: The Difference Between Staking and Investing on: November 11, 2020, 09:35:09 PM
It's easy to tell the difference, before I would suggest staking and investing, instead of choosing one, choose both!,
because Staking will give you coins for a certain period, making your investment increase, this is good for investors.
Staking is now favored by many traders and investors, especially with this program we don't have to worry about a reduced portfolio.

Staking isn't just how they used to be in the past. Unlike now, then you can just stake your bought tokens on any accredited platforms and wait for it to mature with profits but usually they are relatively small in ROI but the recent hype in DeFi has change the game. You hardly see a project that usually done the traditional system but providing them in ratio of 1:1 in form of liquidity and Yield farming, though the rewards are astonishung.
I'm not just cool with staking, there are situations you stake your tokens and they are required to be locked for a time frame before one can have access to them. I really love the Idea of holding my tokens to myself.
636  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 11, 2020, 06:55:07 PM
If we base crypto on the performance of a country then what is the point of it being decentralized in the first place. I do not think that a government administration would have that much influence in cryptocurrency unless it is a CBDC, the nearest thing that we can call an influence between crypto and government is coincidence.

To be honest and fair, grading cryptocurrency by performance, I will say US isn't the top country that will take first few lists. Despite some huge and influentials from San Francisco, I wouldn't give it to them. Malta and Canada has been Bitcoin friendly in my opinion.
I can recall Donald Trump tweet back in 2019 when he said he was never crypto friendly and never believed on value created on thin air with zero security level. That shade lots of blood that tank BTC price and altcoins for several days before they became stabilized.
Either Biden or Trump, let's forget about top World leaders and cryptocurrency, what we need to focus on is adoption, gradually we will get there with time.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i run Masternode? on: November 11, 2020, 04:39:12 PM
I'm staking for almost 4-5 months a coin on QT Wallet 100% PoS - Equihash - 2B Total supply and i get more than 45.000 coins in 24h so my question is do i have/need to run a masternode and even if i run will i get more coins from staking or im good because i want more and i need to know if i run masternode will i earn more than 45K in 24h.

Running a master node is costly accompanied by technicalities. You don't want your machine to go off otherwise you will end up with nothing, i believe you know this already.
Are you a techy person, how do you handle your node when system goes south? You really need to be an expert before setting foot on that journey.
Secondly, if you open your own master node, any plan to add extra coins. Most platforms do these in other to earn some dividends as others delegate their coin to them.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUY 32 ETH on: November 10, 2020, 09:21:31 PM
CZ binance tweet made me want to collect more eth, because eth 2.0 is coming soon now it's at the ETH2 deposit contract launch, anyone can participate in eth staking with the condition of depositing 32 eth.
In a cz tweet he said ("" I might buy 32 #ETH, just for the cause. Not financial advice. Just supporting ETH development "")

The Binance blog also discusses ETH 2.0 you can read here

https://www.binance.com/en/blog/421499824684901107/What-is-The-Potential-Impact-of-Ethereum-20-on-The-Derivatives-Market

There are somethings you guys fail to know about Eth2.0. It is promised to be launch by first of December but that's not what is juts about.
Eth2.0 will be running on a parallel network, which means it wouldn't be in the current network. Once it goes live, it going to start at phase o, which means scalability and other updates will be added later. Dont expect network fee to drop drastically. It will take time before this updates are implemented.
Another important thing is, before making deposits on that contract, please do a due deligence research before proceeding, the Ether might be held for long term to run the work( some developers are looking the average time of 2 years as read on Reddit).
Please do a thorough research.
639  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 10, 2020, 12:55:55 PM
Everyone should know that bad leaders corrupt country, such as president, Governors, senators and ministers of the country because based on their positive management their economy keep on accelerating and its negative management brings economy down which is caused funds embezzlement by politicians.

I can't agree more my friend. In every leadership, we dnt always have what we want. There is bad leadership in every sectors and not just government but as an individual. I have this believe that in order to curb corruption, it need to start from individual. A single person cannot fight herd of corrupt officials.
Let's use my country for example, during the covid 19, palliative was distributed from federal government to each state capital which are meant to be distributed to her people. Do you know it was only few governors that distributed the palliatives while leaving their people on hunger.
Funny enough, the palliative were later bursted by hoodlums in warehouses during a peaceful protest that was escalated by thugs. The image of the below has marked history in our life that we will never forget.
640  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 09, 2020, 08:57:57 PM
How do we speculate if bitcoin and crypto shall prosper under the Biden administration than it does under Trump administration.

What are your views?

Trump administration made it clear to be anti crypto and don't want anything to do with it in their system. It's Us, their views are still the same. Biden doesn't own America either, doesn't rule it alone, he didn't put him self in the office but people did and the same people has been agitating for non cryptocurrency system but their bias traditional finance system.
All he can do, in my opinion is to relax the rules or cut some harsh regulations but believe me, they wouldn't want to legalise cryptocurrency as financial instrument and store of value.
