621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will touch 10,000$ to 12,000$ at the end of 2020. on: August 29, 2020, 08:48:00 PM
it reached over $1400 in 2018 so I think if things go correctly it would cross its ath. I am not sure about $10000 just yet. it all depends on everything else thats going on in the market and eth doesn't have so much of influence over those things. Most people including me will be very happy if it gets to $2000 by the end of this year.
I don't think OP was serious when this thread was created. No way to reach this kind of high price points for less than 6 months. The BTC price has to touch $40000 and the alt season has to start for ETH to reach those mentioned prices. No need to overthink these arguments, the speculative opinions are called speculative for the reason Wink
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto after COVID-19 on: August 29, 2020, 08:23:21 PM
Just think positively, Even though economic conditions are bad, Crypto still shows an increase in prices which means more and more enthusiasts and those who need it, so that it has an impact on market changes. If Covid disappears and a cure is found, the world will return to normal so that things will return to a certain habit, there will be more interest in the world of crypto for trading and investment
The trading habits also affect this economic challenge, the crypto industry will find its path after the economic recession. The world economy is on the hold, flat mood and I don't expect big changes till 2021. The crypto marketcap is still under the half-trillion, I doubt there is a good reason to wait for the next cycle of the bull market soon. The pressure from the world economy will decrease within time and there will new investment opportunities for crypto investors sooner or later.

625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: August 28, 2020, 11:59:05 PM
There are brand altcoins and the one-time use altcoins, like in real life. There is a token by Yobit exchange called Toilet Paper Token which was the joke in New Year by CMC  due to the highest volume which makes it first rank on the CMC top list. The name matters and professional marketing experts usually suggest thinking twice before publishing it in public. Personally, I will not invest in the useless token even if the project has the good whitepaper and promising future. Name matters, more than what we think in the crypto industry.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to Invest on: August 28, 2020, 11:32:45 PM
Hey,

I am thinking of switching from BTC trading to Alt trading. Consider me as a beginner.

If anyone can help me in these things:

1. Best exchange to join
2. Best altcoin to invest in

Thank you!
Welcome on board, the trading is tough if you have no previous market experience. The BTC trading is easier compared to various altcoin markets due to the harder research to get up to date information about the team, project fundamentals, etc.  Starter pack: Binance exchange and trade low volatility altcoins. For example, BTC/LTC or ETH/BTC pairs will give an idea of how to survive under hard market conditions.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Sell cryptocurency Bluecoin on: August 28, 2020, 10:58:45 PM
The volume is $2. I get it why you are selling it. Try selling it on https://flippa.com/

Maybe your luck is in that marketplace and it's one of the most popular marketplaces for sale like this.
No volume, it is logical to look for the buyer rather than selling for dirty cheap bid order. There is another listed exchange but Yobit has the worst customer service among crypto exchanges. The hidden commissions + in case if something goes wrong Yobit administration doesn't accept their fault. Good luck to get an answer from the Yobit support team.

I want sell the project. Check on CMC what is volume)
My bad, it was an awkward moment. Good luck to find a buyer, better to list your deal on Reddit. Maybe someone will be interested to buy the ready crypto project.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: August 28, 2020, 09:38:50 PM
I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?

Of course crypto has more value than gold, because gold cannot be sent online and it is very risky, not to mention the security system, everything is much safer and more efficient if we use crypto.
No need to compare the Gold vs BTC, both assets have their role in the financial system. The digital Gold definition has been used by many crypto experts for explaining the value of cryptocurrencies in the economy, maybe this is the reason why there is a correlation between Gold and BTC prices.  I doubt the BTC will take over the total marketcap of Gold futures in the next decade. Even China which has the biggest economic power holds  some part of its state treasure in GOLD.

630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Guide] Best Altcoins to Invest in 2020 on: August 28, 2020, 08:31:14 PM
I never underestimate the power of self-research especially if the theme is about investing in risky financial assets. According to the research results, the best altcoins to invest now is EOS, Stellar, and LTC but the problem is to find the price opportunity on the charts. The current stable market prices don't let the altcoins to reach similar market performance for altcoins and I suggest waiting for the better timing.
631  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market Cap and Trading volume on: August 27, 2020, 11:59:37 PM

So I would like to address these question to active and serious traders:

1. What is your ideal or accepted market capitalization and trading volume for a token or coin before you do technical analysis?

Let us know.

The lower marketcap altcoins less than $100mln is the ideal for buy and forget strategy. Just in simple example, I will explain why buying the low marketcap altcoins and waiting is more profitable than trading BTC or the same altcoins. For making things easy, I will share this part of an email from exchange:
If you had you bought and held bitcoin at $1,000 USD on May 15, 2020, by August 18, the value of your bitcoin would be $1,223.38 USD. However, if you had traded top/bottoms for 14 days, the value would be $1,084.30 USD, taking fees into account.

The same story is true for trading altcoins, for pure marketcap or however you call it trader should has experience to exclude the wash trading volume, fake bot trading data from the Coingecko/CMC. After having an idea and trusting the real volume numbers, buying the desired altcoin will be more suitable. Ideally, I look for altcoins with less than $200mln marketcap and the listed exchange is an important part here too.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: August 27, 2020, 11:40:03 PM
The current valuation is crazy and time will tell for a project that has nothing in production currently. The space is still open for some of these Ethereum competitors to take the top spot form Ethereum before the launch of the Ethereum 2.0 and if some of these new projects fail to come up with a solution to the scaling solution than bye-bye. I still feel the project is over valued at $4 billion Mcap
I just went to coinmarketcap, BNB is still in the top 10 and no change has occurred. Looks like you checked it out at coingecko? Btw Polkadot is a big project and I believe it will rapidly grow strongly in the future, and the top 10 altcoins in 2021 will have this project name.
Polkadot is only seen on coingecko and thats where BNB is displaced in top 10, whereas Polkadot is does not apear to list above BNB on coinmarketcap. Polkadot almost got full dilution which could be the reason for the high marketcap and I think it could distracting information. If binance list DOT and also owns coinmarketcap with possibility of been bias, I dont understand the reason for the difference in chat position.

it is true that you said, polkadot can shift BNB only on the coingecko that is visible while the coinmarketcap is not true.
I think it's very difficult to shift BNB out of the top 10 tokens
Simple math, if the total marketcap of DOT can surpass the total marketcap of BNB the shifting will happen. The same is true for all other top altcoins too. The Coingecko also has the APIs from different exchanges and additional tools for comparing the price/volume/marketcap. TOP exchange's data is more reliable, so I will wait for the settled dust before thinking about to invest PolkaDot or not. BTW, you can't learn investing with try and fail methods.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does bounty still kind of worth on 2020? on: August 27, 2020, 10:54:24 PM
Bounty hunting depends on every individual and participants state of mind and decision making skillls. But for me, bounty is still worth it even in 2020. All what we need to do is to know the kinds of bounty that we join and enrol, because that is what will make or mar the earnings we make from participation.
It still worth but few of them are more worthy to participate not like in the past year 2017 having better bounties to participate and now we are in year 2020 there are to many scam bounties already and we can find trusted bounties if we need it to find by ourselves. There BM are now handle bounties that we could participate and have a nice rewards we receive.

The way bounty managers have managed the bounties before 2018 was different compared now. The bounty allocations have decreased more than 50% and paid tokens don't get listed on crypto exchanges. Even if the small exchange accepts the mentioned types of altcoins, it is questionable how marker performance will be in the future. Long story short, it doesn't worth to kill time with crypto bounty campaigns.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: August 27, 2020, 09:58:04 PM
So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

What do you think I should do now?

Theers nothing you can do but to hold those shit tokens into your bag and just hope for that coin to be listed again on some exchange and sell it off immediately if you do have the chance.
This is a common mistake where people do buy tons of coins in an unknown or not so popular exchange and i dont know on what are their criterias on considering it out rather than
focusing or directly prefer bitcoin into their investment options. For alts then its still questionable and high likely for you to fail.It would be more better and much more wiser if you do rather
select top alts on buying rather than  buying unknown coins into an unknown exchange. lol
From my experience, people just get the mentioned useless tokens from bounty campaigns and they regret to pay for it. The sh*tcoins have no value with an exchange or without it, obviously. Buying the top altcoins also carries some risks which can make it worse than investing in the useless tokens in terms of ROI. Profit is made with sitting tight, so making the right investment is not way to be successful in this world because patience is in deep need of this destination.

636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good project Vitalik! on: August 27, 2020, 08:50:01 PM
Currently the Ethereum price has decreased or stabilized in the range of $ 370 - $ 390, I think this is a good opportunity for you if you want to add some Ethereum investment while the price is down. I still have confidence that the Ethereum price can reach $ 400 or even more. it is important always to be patient and monitor the market situation.
If you are looking for investment opportunities in ETH charts, it will be better to wait for the lower price boundaries around $250. This support level will not be broken easily and there is no reason to continue selloff for a long time despite the smell of bear market. $400 will not hold if the BTC price goes to test the $10000 level and check the deep interest of open buy contracts. CME open futures is at the peak points, I prefer to wait for the right time to liquidate my ETH holdings rather than selling cheap.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from centralized wallets on: August 27, 2020, 08:08:54 PM
This is very important, do not use any centralized wallet, if you do not have conrol of your private keys then it is not yours. I remember when I started in the space and was using a multipurpose wallet, when Dash pumped I want to withdraw the coin, the wallet provider has gone under.
sorry to have heard of your loss, I myself have also experienced an uncomfortable incident when using Coinbase when I held 0.01 btc at a time when bitcoin was quite high, coinbase suddenly freeze my wallet because it was considered suspicious activity and unfortunately when bitcoin crashed deep enough they just opened my wallet and this is the most annoying thing and because of that I don't use Coinbase anymore.
Unless you have violated the terms&conditions there is no way Coinbase blocks the account. Only banks in some EU countries have strict rules against the transactions from/to crypto exchanges, maybe the amount has not been released by the bank side. Logically, the interest of exchange to get more volume, why the exchange should block the account. One more reason can be the funds coming from gambling platforms which is prohibited by many exchanges included Coinbase, AFAIK.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin use? on: August 27, 2020, 07:36:36 PM
When I first discovered crypto. BTC, LTC, DASH, stood out as practical coins.

I don't hear much about LTC nowadays.

Is there a preffered LTC wallet?

Are people using it much?

They are mainly used for profit, and many are good at it. Basically, now is the gold accumulation time for this coin and the price is still attractive. But many expect the price to drop even lower than 0.00044Btc
Usually, before Tron and Doge, LTC was the first preference by gamblers, traders for lowering the withdrawal profits in less time. Due to the confirmation time and lower mining fees, LTC keeps its position but the tweet by CEO Lee has destroyed the reputation in the eyes of investors. So think twice before investing big amount and never forget the gold rule of investing: Invest what you can afford to lose. Otherwise, the Fallacy of investor will happen.

640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOT [Polkadot] Speculation on: August 26, 2020, 11:56:04 PM
First I thought it was a glitch in the system of CMC but later started to analyze the Polkadot in order to be sure about the current market speculation which is very very possible after getting rejected by Bitfinex. Binance listing and the HYPE drive the price to $5 per DOT, it is commonly known fact the HYPE dies faster than what investors imagine in their dream. HYPE will die sooner than mass expectations, in all cases as usual.
