Is there any documentation avail yet on how to use the XChat feature? Sorry if already asked, I could not find.
1. On the "Receive Coins" tab, create a new address and label it "Chat" or something. 2. Copy your address and paste it into the "from" field on the "Messages" tab (use the "paste" icon to the right of the field). 3. Copy someone's address and paste it into the "to" field (use the icon again). 4. Copy someone's public key and paste it into the "key" field. 5. Write a message. P.S. Fully unlock your app before doing all this. ok, i've totally been resisting technology for MANY moons but with the hope of a TOR stick signed by Dan i find myself up for the headache ...i did #1, don't see a messages tab, under "receive coins" i hit "sign message" tab but don't see "from", "to", and "key" fields ...sorry, plz advise. You need to be on the latest test wallet that actually has a messages tab at the top. thought i did, downloaded from arlyns "download xchat" link this morning. under programs it looks like i have version 2.47d ...downloads on xc website are not self explanatory considering my technological ineptitude. I just downloaded the setup.exe which has chat included in it, if thats any help. so website, downloads, and the just download setup.exe teehee, getting closer! thanks, you guys. if you wanna test the chat, send me a message on the address I posted a few posts ago  You should also put it in your sig too. Lemme know if you got it. got it and replied. how long do the messages take? did someone do a speed test the other day? The speed is nearly instantaneous. I tested it with two VM on two different computers in two countries. It's as fast as any regular online messenger like Skype and Google Talk. Nice!  |

Lol the crypto word is a funny old game. How the he'll is key coin at 40k and were still down on 17?
Also agree on the title having XC XCurrency and XChat nearer the beginning like mentioned yesterday. Not that I'm complaining.

i hope im not the only one who spends FAR to much time clicking f5 , looking at price, scratching my head, and buying more.
(and also driving my mrs mad talking about "bitcoin shit")
on a side note, anyone who is a day trader in altcoins... how do u explain what you do, to normal people?
Well I know I spend most of my work day on here and my productivity has gone down the tubes since I discovered crypto lol i had a shitty office job that i hated for years, recently i decided to quit, sell my flat (apartment, US crew) that i was renting out, and our plan is to go traveling in october... made a good bit of profit on the flat, but only put 2g in crypto. im trying to convince everyone that all this crypto shit is revolutionary (which i believe it is) ... 90% of people either their eyes glaze over or they say "yeah, but i can do that with paypal/credit card" ... (rant ensues, eyes glaze)... now when i try to explain that im doing " sort of like the stock market, but with all these new currencies " it doesnt really cut it. surely someone has a better way to explain what were doing.? lol I know what you mean, I've basically given up on trying to explain crypto and why ppl should invest in it. Luckily my Dad and a couple friends finally came around and bought some BTC and XC. When I'm traveling the world in a couple years and am semi retired living off crypto profits we'll see how many are laughing then. haha... this is exactly my mindset. ive got some btc & xc put aside for a few people who think im mad... its not like i wanna say "i told ya so" .... but it would be nice. but then it could all go tits up, so im gonna try not to go on too much, HODL! and hope for the best. do us proud Dan!  ......  ..........  |

I think you should add the ticker, XC in the thread title. Like this:
