Sorry if this is a dumb question, was this a coin/private key created by the creator of the coin or is it a DIY?
Based on the way the firstbits look in the hologram's window, I'd say it was legit from CI.  Yes, the first bits appear to be genuine. The coin had a late load date though in 2016: https://mempool.space/address/1Kh8qzin5kFVn6y8wePhNBQsrdmKEhcTK4Might have been when the coin sold or was confirmed received by the original owner, as CI was noted to load coins after customer reception. I had a few CI coins and I realized that often the laser-marked serial is either very hard to read, or had degraded beyond recognition - Not to say this had one, I have no idea, but I did have a coin where I brought it up in the sales thread, just can't find where/when at the moment as there were so many.  I know there has been some talk of certain CI coins showing first-bits degradation over the years. Seemingly, may be just dependent on said coin/paper.... Yes, I still have the 14444.94 DAI under my control. As of now, if they did contact me, I would deny them any of the remaining funds due to what has happened recently with the BTC wallet. How is that related? I guess they are not... I was under the assumption that since the BTC funds moved, this was considered a nefarious action on part of WW Not sure what would happen with the DAI left. Maye let the community that was affected decide? The escrowed amount was meant to prevent losses. Since the website is gone, new losses won't occur. As far as I know all valid claims are paid. I'd say returning * the funds (when requested) is the right thing to do (after a 7 day delay, as agreed upon earlier). Yes, agree with that. |
