Bug report: After cancelling a bid, the newly available balance is updated on the page, but not updated for the calculator

Yup, previously mentioned the page has already loaded the data before the process happens.

I have been testing some JS to update it as the page loads once the cancel is confirmed.
I should be syncing it to the main build tonight or tomorrow. Smiley
622  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] YABMC is Closed! on: January 15, 2013, 11:40:57 AM
The only difference I can see in fees is the trading fee (i.e., how much of a percentage is paid to the exchange for a sell order).

Bitfunder is 1% and BTC-TC is 0.2% for your first trade.  Bitfunder then has tiers down to 0.5% fee for those who trade more frequently (volume is quarterly not monthly).

1% to sell only.
Buying is always free of charge. Smiley
BitFunder promotes people buying into and supporting community projects.
You could call it 0.5% for the buy, and 0.5% for the sell. and then down to half that with bulk. Tongue
623  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] YABMC is Closed! on: January 15, 2013, 09:33:05 AM
Is there any significant difference in the migrating fee to BitFunder or BTCTC? If there is no difference or it is low I would go for BTCTC

Migrating fee?
I am pretty sure BTCT is refunding any creation fees so there should be no charge to migrate to them when all is said and done.
BitFunder is free to accepted former GLBSE assets.

There is the 10BTC bounty that BitFunder would pay out to the YABMC asset account for dividend distribution to all share claimants if it joins there.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130754.0

In a way, you could say its a -10BTC fee to join BitFunder.  Grin

Hey everyone,

I am happy to say that beta testing of the API system is underway.
If you want to be included in the beta send me a pm and I will add you to the list to get access as we are ready for you.

Right now it is going on a person by person basis going over documentation, functionality, and ease of use.

Hey everyone,
I am happy to say that we already have more than 50 ppl in line for the beta queue.

As for when you will get access, we are going one by one seeing how our initial information, etc works out, and updating.
We will get to you, just give some time. Might even be a few days or longer. Smiley
625  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] YABMC is Closed! on: January 14, 2013, 10:09:05 AM
You are correct that others can vote (non bondholders) but this thread is kinda low traffic and expect those looking at it are more than likely bondholders.

This was also why I added a "just show me the results" option so those who are curious and do not want to influence the results could participate.

Polls have now been skewed beyond a few extra visitors.
Obviously now anyone who holds any interest in either LTC-GLOBAL shares, or the BTC-TRADING-PT fund will be happy to come vote.

I know you had the best intentions Burnside, but this was meant to be for YABMC holders.

If you held YABMC on GLBSE and would like to see your shares on BTC-TC, I recommend responding to the current poll at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75867.380

Cheers.

628  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Gamma SatoshiDICE Pass Through on: January 12, 2013, 03:09:29 PM
Yea, not optimal but the best way we could solve the situation without me having to do it manually xD
//DeaDTerra

When will the transfer process to BTC-TC be completed?
If it's automated I don't understand why it takes so long.

Did you claim btct and not get your shares yet?
If so, pm me your email and I will take a look at things from the list to see what I can do to help out. Smiley
629  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace - Official Launch on: January 10, 2013, 05:33:21 AM
Any ETA on the API?

Hehe, I am still working on the docs for it.
Lot's of things like to spring up during these stages of a site launch, esp. with everything else going on.

I will be opening to some users soon enough. Smiley
630  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Gamma SatoshiDICE Pass Through on: January 10, 2013, 12:45:11 AM
If you have claimed shares while already logged into BitFunder and have not already had them issued to you on either exchange, then you will want to claim again.
There was a bug stopping claim updates on users who were already logged into the system with existing accounts.
If you can open the claims page, and get the claims button, then your claim has not been recorded.

Hey guys,

There was an email backlog that held some things back. I changed that part of the system to be much more efficient at mail/throttling.

Most everyone should have their emails by now. If you do not have one within an hour of this post, PM me your email address and I will take a look for you.
Also, be sure to check your spam folder. I have not had any complains of this, but you never know.
632  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Limited Launch Offer to Orphaned GLBSE Assets & Shareholders on: January 07, 2013, 12:49:42 PM
I'd like to post a quasi-listing (no contract -- they'll need to see a forum post for updates on value of "hard debt" because payments will be irregular) for BDK.BND to allow users to trade the debt if they so choose.

BDK.BND represents a total of ~1.7kBTC worth of debt, with 61 unique holders. I will not be moving BDK since that'll be settled privately on January 28th. The list Nefario sent to me is 100% complete, and all but a couple people have given me a BTC address for where there wasn't one on Nef's list.

Small-amount unit-holders will be paid off prior to listing on BitFunder (January 28th), if accepted, and will bring the number of unique users down to something like 35. If it wouldn't be a giant pain in the ass, it'd be nice if users who don't want to register on BitFunder for whatever reason to still have a kind of "quasi-account," where their "dividends" are just automatically forwarded to their address.

I do require the 10BTC to move forward with this, though, since I'm quietly desperate to collect any possible funds ASAP for repayment.

The listing on BitFunder would technically be perpetual, with a regular payment schedule occurring after "hard debt" is paid off. These "bonus" payments will be a gratuity for unit-holders letting me get off without even a slap on the wrists. I don't think any unit-holders ever really complained at all between the time I initially announced default and now.... not sure if I'm supposed to feel humbled, ignored, or just glad. Nobody even leveled a charge of gross incompetency when I had an account compromised on GLBSE, much less a scam accusation.

Sounds like a plan. You are all setup. Smiley
633  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Gamma SatoshiDICE Pass Through on: January 07, 2013, 05:43:13 AM
I have received the complete and final list, and I have synced this to the current list on BitFunder ALL asset holders should have received an email, if you haven't check your spam box.

It's already 7th January. My BTC-TC account is still empty. What seems to be a problem?

BTCT requires votes. it just recently got its 5th vote.
I voted earlier for it earlier.

Talked to TradeFortress for some details.
Did some testing, so far everything looks correct.

It appears that the price was correct.

Will be keeping an eye on things and will further testing to be sure though. Smiley

Hi Ukyo. I still haven't received a response from support@weexchange regarding how long you think it might take to fix my password issue on weexchange.co. Is it possible to get an estimate on how long it takes to fix? I have around 175 btc in value on Bitfunder I am a little worried to send to weexchange.co right now. Thanks!

Not sure what is up with the support email response.

There is a link on the login box on https://weexchange.co for password recovery. Smiley

OK, if I bid 1 BTC and lowest ask is for 0.01 BTC, it should have charged me 0.01 BTC instead of 1 BTC.

This is not how stock markets work. You go for the lowest price that is within bid. Only cost me less than a dollar due to a typo but this needs to be fixed

Let me take a look at that. It should not happen that way.

It follows AML and KYC requirements.
Please elaborate...

Hey Bob Smiley

Since WeExchange is operating a btc exchange, much like MTGox, etc, and we deal in fiats, we ask users for their information as a responsible business.
This is no different then mtgox or other exchanges that have taken proper care by doing this to help avoid fraud.

Since many people wish to be able to use the account just for handling BTC, that's great! That is the whole idea/hope for btc! Smiley
Currently btc is an unknown item, and its standing as a commodity/currency/status is undetermined. Until/unless it becomes mandatory, or any special circumstances arise, we do not see any reason to require id verification for handling BTC itself.
638  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace - Official Launch on: January 04, 2013, 08:33:11 PM
Right now you could put Mickey Mouse as your name and Disneyland as your address, so long as you don't want to use fiat currencies on weex.  Of course problem comes down the line if they suddenly change their policy and you can't get your BTC out of BitFunder without verifying your ID.  I'd HOPE that if weex ever makes that policy change then BitFunder would provide a means to withdraw without having to use weex - maybe Ukyo can give some reassurance on that.

Definitely.
If it ever comes down that WeExchange must require id verification to deposit or withdraw BTC, then an alternative, beit direct or not, will be made available on BitFunder.
639  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace - Official Launch on: January 04, 2013, 08:32:10 PM
Nothing against BitFunder, as I haven't given it a good going over...yet, but I'd be annoyed too if I had to go to another exchange to recover my shares because an asset issuer suddenly locked and transferred my shares without warning or vote.

Yes, when Ian contacted me about the migration I do not recall a mention of if he was having a vote or not.
Although, in retrospect I do not think there was ever a real vote to move to btct.co either.
Just some forum posts by a mix shareholders, and non-shareholders at the time. (Granted I am not privy to any emails so I may have missed it there.)

I guess that was setting a precedent ? It seemed users at that time did not necessarily care where/what Ian did, as long as they got their
shares/divs. btct was not the only option at the time, crypto was around as well.

And yes, I can see how having to use his BitFunder account to claim shares that were originally on his exchange could be annoying, but in the end
it really should not matter really. You are buying the shares to be part of the asset, and support the asset, really regardless of where they are. I own
shares of lots of things that are not on BF. Would I be sad if I had to use another site to manage those shares? Depends on if I actively trade there
already or not, but I would be sad to see the asset leave. Would I get grumpy and dump all my shares of that asset because of some imaginary turf
war and possibly hurt the trading value of the asset, and other peoples value over it? Seems childish, emotional and irrational.

Edit: While writing this he made the above post. Apparently it seems his reasons for wanting to dump his shares of bakewell is because he does not want anyone having any kind of information about him. Although once the issue of him needing a WeExchange account is solved, it would become a non-issue I would think ?

Although, being that he did provide Ian with the list, he actually knew ahead of time, and made the decision to not act on 'inside information' and allowed his shares to be transferred w/o selling them off first.

Regardless of what exchange my shareholders are on, I will continue to hold them, trade them, earn divs from them, and reinvest into them as I see fit.
640  Economy / Securities / Re: {Bakewell} Get an equitable stake in a transparent & growing mining company on: January 04, 2013, 07:54:57 PM
Simple transfer of my shares over to bitfunder, and so far I've done two BTC transfers through wex to buy more shares. So far so good.

I like both bitfunder and btc-tc. Both great platforms with huge potential, I hope they succeed and grow.

Always if i try to Login on weex i get the Error: Could not connect to 2nd stage server...

Ah hah!
I take full responsibility for this.
There was a space in the username that was uncaught. The handling of it has been corrected.

Thanks Charles for helping me find that! Smiley
