And we're mining! First collective mining effort has begun, currently at 1.7GH/s but will add some extra hashes as we still have some funds left. Currently waiting on some rigs to become available again (several hours to go) and I will scoop them up. Every rig rented will receive feedback from the Guldencoin Collective – just a little thank you and a sign to other miners that we're here to stay

Edited, go home Buerra. You drunk

I want to keep everyone in the loop that tomorrow we will start the community mining for the next two weeks or so to raise the hashing floor with about 1.5GHs until the update. We raised an awesome 6.3BTC together that will go towards mining collectively. I know some of you only speak English, but you will get the idea when you see the list and the amounts https://forum.guldencoin.com/index.php?topic=765.0If anyone wants to know something, just DM me on here and I will answer any questions, translate stuff for you etc. Cheers.

Get a local popular coffee house or pizza place in Palo Alto or San Francisco city, LA or NYC to accept NLG and I will fly out for that and make a nerdy fan video with you as promo goof for both us and them lol.
What do they need? Cash register with internet access OR an ipod, iphone, tablet or other smartphone hooked to their Guldenpay.com with the Litepaid API. I think Litepaid paysout Dollars through PayPal, but I am not sure. Fuse can probably confirm that, if it's true.
That would be legendary.
Sadly, no. It needs to be an IBAN bank account to do cash payouts. You could get one of those anonymous Visa cards that are found in the goods subforum here. They are tied to an IBAN number and allow decent deposit/withdrawal amounts. The US is crazy with money exchange laws. I was going to see if I could use Bitpay to take BTC payments and they wanted everything from a business license to a blood sample. Joking on the blood sample, but they really did want paperwork out the wazoo. It would be pretty slick to get you to fly out here for a promo "US groundbreaking" event. I wish I was still in NY, I've got a friend that owns a bar that would do it in a heartbeat if I was there to help her. -Fuse Too bad, "oh let's use this decentralized payment and ask for passports, licenses and fingerprints just to be safe". Jeez.

So, I downloaded the new 1.3.1 wallet and tried to send some NLG to bittrex ans vice versa.ference is only The coins are NOT arriving on both sides. I downloaded the 1.3.1 to the same folder as I did with the older version. The differe nce is only 3kb (20950kb versus 20947kb). Anyone an idea, what I did wrong?
Wallet fully synced? Bittrex takes a while to put the coins in your account, for withdrawals you need to approve them via e-mail.

Sounds interesting Meije, good luck!

Bitcoin's blockchain is that big because there are images of Mandela and others on the chain for some reason, I read that somewhere. If we don't mess with the blockchain it won't be that big, it would and should be easy to store the entire synced wallet on a 4 or 8GB flashdrive.

what is the time that the new wallet is coming?
Party time Bram! funny? it was a serieus question grrr A serious party I imagine

Yay, good that it was discussed, reviewed and a decision was made.

People are weird that way. Bitcoin got over 40 million volume in 24 hours, sure price is down, but if the price is all that matters then fuck crypto. Look beyond price, what do you see, what is coming and would you invest in it?

You can now send someone text messages through Bitsms using Sterlingcoin. " Cool, but we could already do that!" True, but you can now also send that person Sterlingcoin as a gift or payment by attaching coins to your text message!

Bitsms: Cryptocurrency via text message (SMS)Bitsms is a texting platform for cryptocurrency launched late August 2014. You can send regular text messages to anyone’s mobile phone (or to 100 people in one go if you prefer) and pay for it with Bitcoin, Darkcoin, Guldencoin or Sterlingcoin. But you can also send the aforementioned cryptocurrencies as a gift via sms to anyone’s smartphone along with a personal message. The price was lowered from €0,21 (+- $0,26) to €0,15 (+- $0,19) per sms. As we were able to negotiate a better deal with our provider which allowed us to lower the price per text for the third time in 3 months. Now these improvements have been implemented we’re going to expand the check-out system and we are building an API for further use by third-parties such as Bitcoin ATM’s, (online) wallets, pools and many other uses. We’re always trying to add new features, so stay tuned for our upcoming ones! Feel free to send suggestions and stay in touch through Twitter by following @ bitsmscom.
