621  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin no be for everybody inside Nigeria on: April 20, 2024, 04:32:11 PM
When we talk about Bitcoin and it's adoption for the Nigerian space, we go understand say many people wey dey even here about Bitcoin sef na true the wrongs ways like some of my friends for which day just dey blah about cryptocurrency trading and how people dey make am especially when you trade Bitcoin, all these nonsense na watin him dey vomit without even understanding or knowing what is involved in Bitcoin trading or the cryptocurrency market as a whole base on the aspect of its volatility.
I believe say many people for Nigeria, no understand di difference between Bitcoin and altcoins, for dem mind all of dem na cryptocurrency, so if dem scam dem for one shitcoin, dem go put di blame on Bitcoin, dat na one of di reasons wey I talk say Bitcoin no be for everybody. Some people no go take time to research or ask questions about Bitcoin, dem go think say na Ponzi, or one get rich quick scheme, na so dem go ignorantly put money for one hyped scam project and dem money go vanish, in the end dem go think say every crypto coin na Bitcoin, so person supposed de enlightened, odawise Bitcoin no be for am.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will altcoins ever cheap again? on: April 20, 2024, 03:31:15 PM
Now crypto market is growing super faster along with Bitcoin. Altcoins are become so expensive. People who keep waiting to buy altcoins with cheap price during Bitcoin halving, are disappointed cause market is still on up trend. Sometimes little dump is happening but market recovery also done so fastly. So what do you think? Will altcoins ever cheap again? Or you are buying overprice altcoins?
I don't understand your statement, I thought that Bitcoin bull season is what precedes altcoin bull season, and Bitcoin bull run has not fully kicked off, so I don't see how altcoins price is overpriced now. I believe that it's not late to start buying altcoins that you think will bull in this season, because when Bitcoin is bullish and investors are getting ROI they'll want to diversify and reinvest in altcoins, that's when the alt season will start and their prices will become high. Remember that it's not all the altcoins that are worth investing in, so carry out your own research first.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 4th Bitcoin Halving on: April 20, 2024, 02:44:55 PM
Happy 4th Bitcoin halving!

This is my first experience of halving and I feel very excited to be a part of the most anticipated event in the crypto space, infact the feeling is like counting down to new year, and suddenly it's time and it happens. I'm now looking forward to what the post halving will be like, how it'll affect Bitcoin price.
624  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with economy power controls the world. on: April 20, 2024, 01:57:25 PM
There's no question about this, it has always been the ways of mankind, for the powerful, rich and influential to manipulate and be Lord over the poor, weak and the unintelligent, from invasion, colony to slavery and now giving aid to poor countries, while they milk all their natural resources. The problem is that the leadership of these backward economies are so corrupt that they're willing to sale their countries to the rich economies by collecting huge loans from them to enrich themselves, then their poor countries will live at the mercies of the developed countries, second slavery.
625  Economy / Speculation / Re: If China Supports Crypto, Where Can Bitcoin's Price Go? on: April 20, 2024, 12:45:46 PM
But I don't think that will actually happen because China is all about control, and Bitcoin is about freedom.

I understand that China, has not totally banned cryptocurrency, it's only mining that is illegal in that country, although I'm not familiar with the laws regarding their crypto usage, I however agree that if there's a total adoption and liberty to use Bitcoin, it'll make impact. China, has the population to drive Bitcoin adoption to the next level, it can also make the demand to become higher which will make price to increase. But there's a clause to Bitcoin massive adoption in China, because as you've noted, they're more of a secretive and controlled economy, which is a total opposite of what Bitcoin represents, decentralization and freedom.
626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: April 20, 2024, 11:25:23 AM
There are people who have learnt how to trade, practiced on demo accounts for long but have not had the money to try trading on the market, and so they have abandoned trading to try search for money first. While there are others who have too little income, that they cannot profit from the market trading, they are always worried about loosing and because of that they make mistakes with their technical analysis and end up loosing the little money they have. Should trading be exclusive to financially comfortable and rich because of how risky it is?
Trading is not for the rich alone, neither is it for the very poor, I think that anybody that earns steady income from their work or business can do crypto trading, the amount of income that is earned will determine the level of income that will be used for trading. Therefore crypto trading should be an alternative source of income, where the trader should not solely rely on it to make money, because there's no guarantee that he'll be making profit everytime to take care of his responsibilities. Trading is hard and it's not for the unemployed who're looking for a means to make money, you need to have some money on ground before going into crypto trading.
627  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why democracy is stalling in Africa on: April 20, 2024, 10:19:08 AM
The common man in Africa, needs democracy, so that they can elect the right candidates into power that have the qualities and characters to take their countries from poverty to prosperity, but the truth is that there are forces that don't want Africans to have true democracies. It's not necessarily spiritual forces, but wicked individuals that are cabals and mafias, and wants Africa, to remain in backwards and impoverished state, while the rest of the world is progressive. This is why elections are a waste of time and resources in most African countries, in the end the masses votes won't count, elections will be rigged and the unpopular candidates will be declared winners, and there's nothing that the citizens can do about it. The powers that makes things happen in Africa, are not prepared for democracy yet, this is my submission.
628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin halving security tips for first timers. on: April 20, 2024, 08:51:31 AM
Thanks to the OP for sharing this tips, it's better to be informed as newbies and be reminded as experienced members, so that if we're faced with any similar halving scams, we'll remember that we've been forewarned about them. I've not had any halving experience, but I'm quite knowledgeable about it from my interactions in this forum, and I'm sure that I won't fall for any post halving scams. Newbies should be especially careful and watchful about any free giveaways and airdrops that's related to halving, I just have the feelings that scammers might try to cook up some scams to try and dupe some naive newbies.
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana Shatters Records: Over 2000 TPS Achieved! on: April 20, 2024, 07:15:07 AM
I'm really glad for Solana right now. After a lot of ups and downs happened to this network, they still managed to stay and still on the top.
With their issue about down times, being offline, and related to FTX Exchange, they are doing pretty well right now. They are proving that layer-1 is still kicking even though we have a lot of layer-2 networks right now.
I'm glad for the Solana, network too, after almost being pronounced dead, they were able to bounce back and become the most talked about altcoin, I believe that they'll keep improving and becoming better. Their network congestion is a testament that it's been frequently used, I know that it'll soon dicongest. Also their TPS achievement is a plus, nonetheless.
630  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Advantages of Bitcoin halving on: April 19, 2024, 05:00:01 PM
Bitcoin miners no suppose complain about their rewards wey de cut in half during halving, because plenty times wey we de get network congestions wey transaction fees go skyrocket, dem de get over plenty rewards, unto say dem go first confirm di transactions dem wey carry plenty fees. I de very happy say Bitcoin system de very organized, especially for dis time of halving wey de create scarcity, after dat demand go increase wey go eventually make price to increase and we go enter bull run. So make we no join odas to panic and sale as price de dip, Aldo e don appreciate small today, after halving bull run go gradually start.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you see NFTs heading in the future? on: April 19, 2024, 04:22:34 PM
I think that NFT will remain to be a niche product. Most of them are ugly, so people won't be buying them as a piece of art. Trading them is really volatile and unpredictable, so that suits not for everyone either.
Sometimes I look at NFT artworks and I wonder what their use case in the crypto space is, they'll probably appeal to the super rich art collectors who're into the types that NFT showcases, other than that I personally don't see them being relevant in the future. Besides, for the majority of people, I'd say who needs a masterpiece that costs a fortune, when you can copy them or buy a lookalike on the roadside, except again for the these elites who'll like to show off that they hold the originals .
632  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto awareness on: April 19, 2024, 03:07:42 PM
E no de surprise me wen I hear say Nigerians de top di list for anything in the world, because we no de carry last, so for dis crypto awareness matter, evendo say na oyibo get di technology and na dem be di originators of crypto coins, as naija people don see say profit de am, na to dominate am. Our Nigerian economy suppose give everybody sense to de search for anything wey de give money, so I believe say na im go make crypto awareness go de popular especially among our youths, unto say no job and dem gats survive. Dem say poverty de give talent and hunger go make you to search for survival means, so na we follow dem get crypto now.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin is no longer digital cash? on: April 19, 2024, 02:15:55 PM
I ask this question because I wonder what Bitcoin will become now that the financial institutions and meme coin advocates have taken over.

If Bitcoin is not peer-to-peer electronic cash then how do you see it?
Bitcoin remains a digital cash and a store of value, it's not dragging positions with financial institutions or memecoins, it's in a class of it's own and has proven it's reputation as a means of payments and as an investment asset. Some businesses and individuals accept it as an alternative currency for payments, the only thing that has not made it's acceptance to gain the popularity that it deserves is the slow adoption rate, but it's less than two decades old compered to fiat that has always been here. Although I can't deny that Bitcoin is used more as an investment asset, investors buys and sells it for profit, all the same, you can't compare memecoins to Bitcoin.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins at it again, Another about to go up ? on: April 19, 2024, 01:07:38 PM
This is the second topic I am noticing today about the same meme coins. I feel there is a collective approach by the team to extensively spam this board with the same coin. Not a good way of marketing thier project. They should have come up with a bounty program if they want to draw attention of the forum members.
This is the second thread that I'm hearing about this EPIK project, anyway I won't write it off because they're promoting it here in the forum, some of us might not hear about it, if it's not for the promotion. But the focus is that it's a memecoins and I don't think that it has any spectacular difference from the other memes that are out there, therefore investing in it will be at the investors risks, because they're all more or less gambling. Memecoins are trending now, especially on Solana, so let any investor that has what it takes in terms of the risks capacity to go ahead, it's profit or lose.
635  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Simple practices to improve trading (2). on: April 19, 2024, 10:01:30 AM

- Practice demo trading, although not all traders started with Demo trading because some traders actually could handle the risk of loosing.
- Be consistent, and to encourage or learn consistency, you can start a 21 days trading challenge with a fellow newbie trader, or a trading challenge for as long as you want. If you do a challenge with someone, the person can encourage you when you feel like quitting from the challenge due to failed analysis or other reasons.
- Whenever you loose in trading, always return back to find out the reason why you failed.
- Do not depend on signal groups.
- Practice emotional control.
- Do not focus on too many cryptocurrency pairs.
- Join a community of traders.

These are a few, and I am sure there are more from other traders, please share to the benefit of us all.
Thanks for sharing these essential tips on how to improve trading, so as to avoid loses which is quite much, without adequate knowledge the loses will be even more, but it's important to note that this tips that you mentioned are secondary trading knowledge or experiences to aquire, the primary thing is for a trader to first learn essential skills which are fundamental and technical analysis. Although some experienced traders can argue some of the tips like newbies starting with demo account, they believe that newbies will not gain confidence with demo trading, but I agree with you that demo is important for learners. The only thing that I can add is that newbies should trade with the amount that they can afford to loose.
636  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nothing is impossible on: April 19, 2024, 08:43:39 AM
Somethings are not possible yet, like bringing back the dead to life, but I definitely agree that almost everything is possible, because most things that were only imagined in the past are now realities, because some people changed the naretive. I really admire the cricket player, he would've given up his dream of playing cricket, because of his amputation, but he believed that not having arms which is essential for the game, wouldn't stop him from achieving his dream, he overcame and today the world is celebrating his resilience. His story should be a lesson to the rest of us that easily gives up on our dreams and aspirations because of setbacks that makes us to think that it's impossible.
637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay alert and keep suspect of when someone is helping you out of your wallet on: April 19, 2024, 07:50:43 AM
It's good to take precautionary measures when you're doing money transactions, no matter the person that's involved, whether it's a friend or stranger, especially when you're sharing your sensitive personal information. The person might not use your information to scam you, it could be a third party that got access to the person's information, that is why you should've asked him to delete the screenshot that you shared with him or if you think that some information sent to him can compromise your wallet, then it's best to move your coins from it.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying more of the Dip on: April 19, 2024, 06:44:25 AM
While you are scared, El Salvador keeps buying the dip every day.

It is quite interesting and intriguing if you will to see how a country operates now that they have announced bitcoin to be their legal tender. This definitely helps bitcoin’s credibility and legitimacy.

Like you said this bold action is proof that we should have confidence in bitcoin because if a literal country is doing all this then shouldn’t we too?
El Salvador, Bitcoin adoption should send a message to countries that still ban it, they should understand that Bitcoin is an investment that is a store of value, and they should remove all the unnecessary stigmas that they attach to it, because the crypto has proven that it has the potentials to keep increasing in price and making the holders richer. I encourage any investor that has the money to buy Bitcoin, in this dip, not to hesitate because bull run will start after halving, and price will begin to surge.
639  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Report Spammers, Spambots and AI Posts Here. on: April 18, 2024, 05:18:44 PM
I thank @Igebotz, and all our ogas dem for dis laudable move to sanitize dis our board, e go help to restore di glory wey di board de wen I join di forum as a newbie, dat time our members de happy as di local board de increase with quality posts. Before I know wetin de happen, many newbies enter and I begin to de see many irrelevant posts for di board, di matter really tire me dat time. From my observations now e be like say di spamming and shitposts don reduce, and I believe say na thanks to dis una efforts. I hope say dis spammers and shitposters go learn and do di right thing, make e no be like say we de witch-hunt dem account, afterall dis na anonymous forum, we no know ourselves physically.
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EPIK the next Solana meme sensation? on: April 18, 2024, 03:08:37 PM
EPIK has the potential to make some amazing wave in the market i'll surely ape in some when i get some time to look for entry
Anything is possible in the crypto market, you'll never really know which new project will fly and still be relevant in the market and gain investors trust, so just carry out research and take chances from the multitude of them, because you're going to be gambling your funds, simple reason being that we have more scam projects than legit ones. I'm not familiar with this EPIC memecoins, but if you feel confident about investing in it, by all means do so, afterall it's your money, but remember to invest the amount that you can afford to loose.
