621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: January 20, 2024, 12:13:00 PM

The most correct way would be to understand how much a player is willing to give for entertainment in the gambling world. And it is later to correlate this amount with the one that can be spent at an amusement park, for example. For example, it's $20. And now you can compare what will bring more fun: spend it on gambling or on attractions. At the same time, one should not think that gambling is better because there is a win there. This is because with the right approach to gambling, a player should not expect to win at all. This will avoid upset moods if the balance quickly becomes equal 0.

If we don't consider winning in gambling, then what is the essence of playing if our mind is just centered on Lossing all that we put in. In fact this idea of yours will only make a person to give up gambling. The fun in gambling doesn't come when you loss your bets, in come when you win and loss at the same time. Majority of the time we gamble, we tend to loss our bet for like 5 strike losses but just one win could cover up all the loses you have encountered, and that is the true definitely of having fun in gambling.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: January 20, 2024, 11:40:03 AM
advice you say? Well sorry to tell you this, but I think advice really doesn't work for gamblers that can't really control their gambling habits, but although this particular feeling of the gambler wanting to continue his playing after hitting a figure that isn't satisfactory is like a common disease among other gamblers and it the person himself that can discipline himself to actually stop this act.

The gamble we play is pure risk, and that feeling of playing continuously when you are on a winning strike is common among gamblers. But I believe those who aren't addicted gamblers, learnt how to say no to that thought after a while. When you are a newbie to gambling, there is a high tendency that you will fall for this trick after after a while you know when to quit. Discipline is what makes us different from addicted gamblers, even in other life situations.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 20, 2024, 11:32:47 AM
If I had a relative who is addicted to gambling, I wouldn’t give him any money no matter how little or small it is. I will only help you to establish yourself and not support an act that ruins you. I wouldn’t also let his gambling affect me because I am a different person from him, it’s his lifestyle and the best I can do is feel pity for his life but it’s his life and not mine. If you want to gamble, do it decently. It doesn’t hurt to be (and act) responsible, or does it?

That's absolutely the best thing to do. Funding an addicted gambler is like giving knife to a child to play with. 90% of the time, they're definitely going to use the money for gambling. However the best option is to work on getting them quite addiction before you indirectly become the one sponsoring their addiction. When a member of a family is addicted to gambling, it reducing their reputation and bring bad names to the family. I know some person are gonna say "who cares what other people think" but if you are the one working on building a good reputation while someone is out there destroying it, you'll understand my point.
624  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Have you benefited from SOCIAL MEDIA AD? on: January 20, 2024, 11:09:10 AM
My brother, I think say na only me all this ads they worry like this oo. The worse part na be say, 99% of those ads on YouTube about making money na pure scam. Anytime wey I see all these ads ehn e go just dey pain me. And the one wey worse  pass naim be the one wey you go go fit skip am until e finish. I never come across any ad wey be say get better information wey go help me financially all I dey see na just gambling ads and all those fake game ads wey them say they give money.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: January 20, 2024, 10:18:34 AM
In my country physical gambling is ban and our society does not welcome gamblers. Still people come online and use online casino for gambling. Now the question is this how could that individual come in contact of online gambling? The answer would be his circle of friends or a friend. Does that mean the friend is responsible for his gambling habit or himself. The same goes for children they should know what gambling and betting is, but they should also understand the disadvantage of it. It's not that you can keep a child always at home, they will go out meet friends and one of them might introduce gambling to the child, but since the child is aware of it he/she won't fall for it.

You have a point mate. They could easily learn from friend and keep it from you for as long as they want. And that would even bring more damage than when you are aware of their gambling habits. I agree at some point in life you should draw them close to ourselves and give them a concrete advise on gambling with examples and the demerits. If we do so, they'll probably understand based on the way you structured your advise. There are several online casino out there that don't require any KYC before your registration, all you need to do is to accept their terms and your account is created. So even without showing them they might find those gambling site from the social media. Currently in my country, lots of social media influencer do ads for those online casinos, and children watching their videos will definitely get to watch one gambling ad someday.

627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 20, 2024, 09:20:12 AM

Age is nothing but a number in the system. Addiction is one of the exploratory negative qualities any gambler ought not to develop because it kills slowly and rendered one to become useless without the capacity to handle anything solid without thinking of gambling. Why would I become worried seeing my elder brother gambling? Because they're mature enough to make their own decisions and I don't think any choices made, I have any action to take other than staying on my lane and face my own challenges, we all have what we're fighting really hard to overcome.

The fact that, staying on your lane would help avoid some issues, but you should also consider that the person we are talking about is a family member. If you don look out for them who will? Gambling is not something I'll advise a friend or family to try, because the way you strategize playing is not the way another person might take it. Sometimes even those you though we're smart enough still end up becoming addicts. There is a way gambling tricks the mind of even smart persons to become submissive to addiction, without them knowing that they are becoming addicted.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: January 19, 2024, 09:23:04 PM
Gambling in front of a child is definitely a bad idea. children of this generation don't need much explanation before they find out what your are doing by themselves. Yes I deed, they are now that smart. Well just as Dewi Aries has said, when gambling you need to take precautionary measure not to do it in front of a child, and it can be achieved by doing it at your room whereas you have locked the door, or while they are in their schools or at bed sleeping. It's very possible some parent gamble and then sleep off without locking their phone in the sitting room. This is something we must be conscious of, to protect our children from getting their hand into wrong practice at their age.
629  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: The future of work on: January 19, 2024, 07:53:54 PM
No be small thing oo, I remember one time wey I attend one seminar and them been dey talk about this same future of Ai technology affect jobs, and increasing unemployment in the future. But one of the skill wey Dem recommend seriously naim be digital skill, like programming/coding. Dem say e go really help you even when that time reach, because them go dey find computer literates to remotely they control an entire plant from just one room of comfort. But that time still dey far from happening, and e get some work wey Ai sef no go fit do aside from critical thinking.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 19, 2024, 07:25:22 PM
I don't even advise an old, or person advance In age to gamble. Because, peradventure they become addicted to it, it will be difficult to convince them not to, because at that age, they feel they have grown to a height of wisdom as their age progresses, unknown to them that they are just being foolish. And most of them out of frustration of live, it will just make them get addicted easily, and such persons could even gamble irresponsibly. Elderly women in the casino hall, isn't something we see everyday, and that because it's not of their gender to gamble, even at that age.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 19, 2024, 07:14:21 PM
Honestly speaking, I don't see any reason for gambling every day except, the gambler is just looking for a way to get addicted, and then turn to an irresponsible gambler. No matter the amount you used in staking your bets, its a good thing you realize your actions earlier before if got worse that that. The concept of gambling for fun would just keep you in a state of security while in reality you are Lossing your mind. We experience the fun in gambling when we are actually having a competition with gambling casino of who will gain from who, at a particular period of time.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing a money on: January 19, 2024, 06:16:28 PM
Let's assume we have a) $5000
5000$ in Bitcoin.

b) $10000
10,000$ in Bitcoin.

c) $15000 to invest, what do you suggest?
15,000$ in Bitcoin.

Then put everything inside a hardware wallet and wait for the next bull run. This is the safest strategy to invest in cryptocurrencies. You don't need anything besides Bitcoin to make profit in crypto industry. But if even after reading this you aren't convinced yet, and think Bitcoin profitability is too low for you, then you might split your investment into 90% Bitcoin and 10% for altcoins. I wouldn't recommend investing more than 10% in altcoins, due to the lack of reliability they present on long term, compared to Bitcoin, unless you aren't really willing to invest your money, rather you are looking to gamble with your funds.

This is absolutely my thought, I can see that we are in the same page. Aside Bitcoin I don't know any other coin that is worth recommending to anyone. With Bitcoin investment alone you'll get what you're looking for but you have to have patience because, Bitcoin is less volatile compared to those coin that investors rush to accumulate, but they forget that the high volatility can also aid high loss in as much as it can give profit. And aside that with Bitcoin investment you don't need to know much about the coin before you invest, but if you try that in some altcoin, you might be the one gifting them free money.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: January 19, 2024, 06:06:12 PM
for people that already have some holdings, we you is to sit back and watch the trend with the certainty that your holdings will only increase with time. For those that don't have any accumulation yet, I guess this is the best time to buy the DIP as the the price of bitcoin and most popular altcoin would increase in value within a short space of time.

Sure mate, I was shocked to see the price in the market going down even after the approval of Bitcoin ETF. But they say, every disappointment is a blessing. Even with the correction in market value, this is also an opportunity to buy Bitcoin at a more cheaper price. Currently, the price of Bitcoin is fluctuating between $40k-$41k. This is an opportunity that should be grabbed by taken advantage of, because we don't know if this might be the least we will ever see before the halving.
634  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: After halving, waiting be the sign on: January 19, 2024, 05:55:22 PM
To know the signs of bull run after halving go hard oo, as be be say dem no dey fit predict the market movement so, thing dey happen differently. Just like after Dem approved the Bitcoin ETF wey we think say na bull dey come, the next thing no be price correction back to $42k naim we see, now sef e don even go down to $41-$40k. So the market fit move opposite to our predictions. Though I never experience the halving before, but I believe say the bull run go definitely come after the halving. But make we no even think of to wait till we see sign before we start to buy oo. Now wey the price don go down small naim be the best time to buy more so that any small increase go dey give us joy.
635  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Holding fiat not the best against Inflation on: January 19, 2024, 05:30:03 PM
No be small thing oo, the naira just dey depreciate in value and all this one na to just make the price of things to cost more and more. Dem say person wey dey keep em saving for naira, say em no know wattin e dey do emself. If you be that kind of person, abeg try use the money make you buy bitcoin until e don reach to take buy better something, like maybe land wey the op talk. The worse part of everything na be say the government just fold hand they look as the currency dey die dey go, na for this kind of currency naim Dem wan peg stable coin to. The stable coin name go just change to dying coin.
636  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Quick money wahala on: January 19, 2024, 05:21:34 PM
This na the kind of things wey don come see inside the society,  the bad thing be say as e don be like this the worse of it will continue to happen because the government have not tried any of their best to put an end of the way people are getting into this illegal stuff to get money. The government does not have the capacity of stopping this guys because they haven't done the necessary thing they are suppose to do. I will always fault the government for what is going on right now.

Indeed, we expect more from the government to do their own part why they were elected in. Assuming  say dem no too dey greedy, say dem invest for our refineries by now the unemployment rate for done reduce well well, and we for no get too much graduates Dem wey dey unemployed. Another thing to consider na the kind of course wey some persons dey go study for school. I don hear of many person wey apply to study one course then after Dem don get admission the school come give dem another course to study. Some of them from civil engineering to agriculture. Abeg wattin person wan use agriculture do? Your chances of getting employed dey very low. Courses like that, recruiting companies sef recommend experience pass result.
637  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why people dey fear to invest in Bitcoin and crypto? on: January 19, 2024, 08:44:09 AM
You see, majority of person who have this misconception about Bitcoin or the entire crypto being a scam project are more of the aged people. And they can do without investment, but the set of person I have compassion for, Is the growing youths who are yet to experience life. Missing the opportunity to buy more Bitcoin now that it is still a bit affordable,  compared to what the price will amount to in the next few decades would be painful for anyone to have such experience. Even most educated persons still have zero knowledge about crypto currency, which has been existing for over a decade now.

However, the disbelief people still have for Bitcoin can be eliminated by prove. Taking for example the life of an investor with good reputation. But I wouldn't want to expose myself as an investor to the public for security reasons. They just have to take the risk and be gratefull later.
638  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Different source of income can you help you achieve your financial goal faster $ on: January 19, 2024, 08:11:01 AM
Those people wey dey depend on only one job since 2018, them dey hear am well well for this period as price of things don go up. As I dey like this, I get to hand work wey I take they support myself plus the signature campaign money wey I dey get, but I still no dey totally satisfied because, I no know wattin dey ahead and I need to save up with Bitcoin. However I don hear about that amazon selling of book but I never too dey exposed to the full details. But e sound like wattin go dey very fun, even if nothing easy for this life as you talk.
639  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Are you following your purpose or money? on: January 19, 2024, 08:00:33 AM
If person never chop for three days because money no dey, if you ask am wetin e wan for life, e fit just forget all hin big dreams and ask for food to save hin life. People get different aims for life. Some dey focus on their life purpose or passion, dem dey find joy and personal satisfaction. Others dey look for money goals, dem dey waka with the need for steady life, security, or to fit live a certain kind life. Many people dey find middle ground between chasing their passion and making sure say dem get money. E dey personal choice, and e dey follow values, priority, and the person individual situation.

Bro you too funny Grin. But na the truth be that, person wey never chop nor dey think about purpose, the way things come hard for the country, some persons dey actually work very hard to meet up wattin them feel say naim be their purpose for this life, yet them nor dey fit reach there. And before you go know, dem don start to do another thing wey Dem been no get interest for initially and before you know, them don dey live the life wey them been dey dream of. The thing na be say, most times we sef nor know our main purpose until we jam some kind life experience mixed with small opportunity na for there we go come take know say we actually dey good at some kind things pass where our eye been dey look sef.
640  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Our country no fit carry last on: January 19, 2024, 05:14:48 AM
Our country na place where we they raise strong men wey fit withstand high pressure and burst out with flying colors. If to say we no strong, by now hunger for they beat many of us the way dollar take dey increase people salary just sit down for ground they look them while expenses they increase. Nigeria na one of the thoughest county wey dey you full time survival tips everyday. When it comes to our name been heard outside we dey really dey try. The music industry and entertainment al large. If na that one I'm proud of my country, but not my country's governments.
