Not all people have the same story as yours or your uncle, many people got losses in crypto. If you or your uncle can buy a house, a car, and have no difficulties with your daily needs, other people may lose their home, car, or big money on crypto. So, I don't think we can determine the future of Bitcoin just based on your story or your uncle's story. We must look at how the improvement of this crypto industry as a whole. However, since more people try to join crypto business, it seems a good sign for Bitcoin future.

I agree with you, it is not surprising because China is an authoritarian country. China government probably wants Bitcoin to be controlled as a centralized system as well. But it cannot happen, Bitcoin community won't let China government controls it. In addition, I am wondering how China can control Bitcoin as it is purely something valued based on the demands on the market. It has tried several times to maintain above $50k, but unfortunately always failed. One of the reasons is many FUDs spreading lately after we heard about China banned Bitcoin mining in the country. Then, we see the Bitcoin price move was mostly like dumped hardly in the last few weeks. It seems triggered by many FUDs spreading around us lately. Don't be easy to be influenced by new issues or news, we all know that some people probably use that fake news for their own purposes. I am not surprised with much fake news, there are many big players in crypto investment now. Those big players must want bigger profits by buying at a very cheap price. They want Bitcoin price to drop by spreading the old news (FUD).

OP only asked the community whether ADA market cap has a chance to overtake  ETH market cap. I think it is not impossible ADA market cap to try overtaking ETH market cap somedays. However, it can happen if ADA has very significant progress in its development, while ETH is a bit difficult to grow more. Not sure this can really happen, but surely not impossible.
