621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about others altcoin than Bitcoin on: July 26, 2017, 12:07:23 PM
To be honest, I don't see much potential in other coins than Bitcoin. Don't get me wrong I do not say that alt coins are bad but they just won't be accepted on a high scale. Even Bitcoin is not accepted everywhere and implementation costs are high.
Nevertheless I still keep some alt coins but it's mainly for a quick buck.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to figure out total power draw of a GPU? on: July 26, 2017, 12:03:25 PM
You can measure the gpu's power consumption with a multimeter. There are cheap multimeters available on the net, these can give you an decent measurement.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: July 26, 2017, 11:32:02 AM
I would withdraw the money. Then invest 50% in Bitcoins, keep some fiat. The rest on a vacation to an exclusive country. Maybe if I'm in a good mood I donate some money to charity.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where are you storing your miners? on: July 26, 2017, 11:26:50 AM
I'm planning to build or buy a miner. I will probably store it in my parents basement. They live not far away from my place so outages won't be a problem for me.

Videokaarten ontkoppelen. Als het goed is kun je in de bios van je moederbord instellen dat je van de onboard videokaart gebruik wil maken. Vervolgens Windows starten en de oude bios terug flashen.
626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto on: July 26, 2017, 10:41:37 AM
One thing is certain, Satoshi Nakamoto doesn't feel the need to be in the spotlights. I'm wondering if he will ever spent his Bitcoins, it seems like he doesn't care about the money. Otherwise he would have done it earlier when Bitcoin skyrocket from nothing to $1000.
627  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I have 831$ skrill want btc for it on: July 26, 2017, 10:22:28 AM
I have exchanged my Skrill for Bitcoin in the past.
Localbitcoins.com offers a build in escrow.
The rates can be found on the website, it differs per exchanger.

However it's fun to install an emulator and play old arcade games.

631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 25, 2017, 05:46:08 PM
Bitcoin could have been your way to be rich in a short time period.
It's not really instant, but if you had bought $10 in bitcoins in 2009 and sell it now you would been a millionaire.
At this moment it's impossible to get instant rich by Bitcoin.
Only possible with an expensive investment and a lot of luck.

If you can catch a waves between $1700 and $2800, of course it's the way to get rich fast. This is not so common. It usually requires more time to create a wealth with bitcoin.
But what's rich in your opinion?
Because if you wanted to make money at the wave you're talking about you need already to be rich.

What is the best solution to resolve our problem in overpopulation?

2. Sterilization on a mass scale.  One child per family globally.  You have a child, both parents need to undergo permanent sterilization before they receive the child. If they refuse, they should be arrested and undergo forced sterilization and pay for it.

Are you illuminati?  Wink
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins on: July 20, 2017, 01:12:16 PM
After recent hacking news i would be careful about ETH.Other than that Steem and WAWES has a great potential to invest and hold in future.
It's not the altcoin that was hacked just be careful with online wallets.
Maybe it's a good thing right now to invest in Ethereum because most of the time price goes down after a hack and recovers after a couple of days.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins on: July 20, 2017, 01:09:02 PM
If you want to invest in altcoins long-term go with Litecoin.
Price went up after the segwit implementation and stays quite fixed right now.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap coins going big 5-10 years on: July 19, 2017, 09:25:05 PM
Only coins that will be successful in 5-10 years will be Bitcoin, Litecoin and maybe Ethereum.
Other coins are just copies of Bitcoin with some little technical changes.
The cheapest at this moment is Litecoin.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: July 19, 2017, 08:45:41 PM
I'm wondering what will happen with the current difficulty of Dash when those are shipped.
It seems pretty profitable right now but I think that won't be the case anymore when the new batch is available.
638  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallets on: July 19, 2017, 08:29:58 PM
A phone application is not much safer than an exchange/wallet.
I would rather use an offline wallet for example Armory or a paper wallet.

640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does every single BTC exchange suck?! on: July 17, 2017, 02:43:40 PM
Kraken is quite good. What did you not like about them?
Kraken is horrible, I mean when they got DDOSd multiple times and liquidated accounts full of BTC/LTC/etc. and people lost tens of thousands, they blamed it on them. At least when Poloniex got screwed they paid people back. Now Poloniex sucks incredibly, but I wouldn't trust any exchange that treats clients in such a way
I didn't know about that. I will make sure next time I use them to transfer my cryptos to a wallet.
I never had a problem with bittrex, I think at the moment it is the most reliable trading sites as it is growing.
My experience was really good in bittrex, transactions are very fast (withdrawal/deposits) and there are a lot of coins listed that
has a good volume, not maybe a big volume like poloniex but they are growing.
I've heard about them, sounds like a good exchange. I might use them sometime but at the moment I don't really have a problem with Kraken. I deposited some Euro yesterday by SEPA and got them today on my account.
