621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCO] Xcoin | PoS | No Premine & No IPO on: April 07, 2015, 11:11:38 PM
I have Xcoin-QT for Windows downloaded from mega.co.nz via http://x-coin.info/wallets/ - Xcoin-1.0.0.1.zip .  I don't see where to put those address codes?  (Tried Settings>Options>Network but that didn't seem to work.)

Gonna try me some staking too... how long does the wallet take to sync the first time it's run?

EDIT - hmm... can't seem to get an active connection to the Xcoin network, so nothing's updating at all.

People are selling at a stupidly low value....  Undecided

I see that GamerCoin is being taken off Bittrex - will this leave HYPER as effectively the only gaming-specific crypto out there?

About the website - having the logo so big means it took me a while to realise that the links were't actually broken, but that I needed to scroll down to see what was there.  I know it depends on what resolution you're using to an extent, but I'm sure I wouldn't be the only person to experience this.

Also, I tried to download the walled, and Chrome blocked as potentially malicious (not unsual with uncommonly downloaded files, but for some reason this time it didn't give me an override option).

1500 XCO donation on its way.

I like the look of the new designs etc you're working on.  Good stuff guys!

I knew it.  I decided to buy some and I jinx the whole thing!  Grin

Funny thing is I'm just keeping on buying whenever I have some BTC free... just have a feeling it will all come good.  Hope I'm not deluded...

Good to know, many thanks!  (I was sure that was how it worked but couldn't quite convince myself enough to be comfortable.)
629  Economy / Exchanges / Bittrex question and general trading question on: March 18, 2015, 11:58:39 AM
I can't seem to find a direct answer to this on Bittrex's fax or via general search - when you place a trade order on Bittrex, is the fee applied at time of placing order, or only on completion of order?  (Basically, do you get charged the fee if the order is subsequently cancelled?)

Also, regarding the fluctuation of Altcoin values, I have not yet convinced myself whether the amount available significantly affects the price of the coin.  For example, 100K available, 50K withdrawn from sale (not sold, just withdrawn from sale) - is that likely to push the price up a little, or have no significant effect?  I'm pretty new to all this and obviously you'd think the normal rules of supply:demand apply to some extent, I'm just not sure to quite what effect.

(I'm hoping these questions aren't too dumb... )

XCO seems to be rebounding well today.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCO] Xcoin | PoS | No Premine & No IPO on: March 16, 2015, 08:19:47 PM
today is not good day for us.

Any particular reason?  (Other than me deciding to invest in Xcoin a bit!  Roll Eyes)

Sorry for the lack of communication. Real life has been very crazy but I am now able to work on HYPER again full time.

I hope no one kidnaps me to buy cheap HYPER! As the days of buying cheap HYPER are soon to be over Wink

Glad to see you back dude!

Er... no-one DID kidnap you... right?  Grin  Grin
633  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: giftoff.com on: March 03, 2015, 08:58:15 AM
Actually I think the feature I would like most would be to send BTC to my giftoff account balance and use that to later buy gift cards, rather than have to send to a new wallet each time.

In my short experience it seems to be pretty random - I once had two stakes come in within a few minutes of each other, most times it takes 2-3 days to get a stake.  The total amount of the stake should still amount to the equivalent of 5% per month whenever you actually get it.

Hey guys, Gift Off co-founder here. Thanks for your comments. Just wondering what you mean by static? As for simple looking, that was our aim - to make it as quick and easy as possible to buy gift cards.  Grin

It's a simple clean design (and crucially the ordering definitely works!) - I guess it's just that maybe you might expect the options to highlight on mouseover.  (I appreciate that the options below below for "More Info" and "Buy Now" do have a subtle mouseover highlight.  May be more of a social comment on how busy other sites look than a criticism of yours!  Grin

If I had to comment of the site itself, I would say its a little simple looking and rather static.

If you're talking about giftoff.com I would definitely agree.

Could also apply to cryptodechange.com although not as much, but I've just tried the latter and have to say that I'm very impressed with their customer service.

Another good site for UK gift cards is https://www.cryptodechange.com/

They're usually quite a bit slower (Sometimes takes half a day or so) than giftoff, but usually cheaper, and they offer a points reward system (Effectively money off your next purchase).

This site looks awesome, thanks so much for pointing it out!   Cheesy

-EDIT- They do NANDO'S gift cards!!!  That's it, I'm sold.
