My apologies for further delay on a meaningful post... I have a retail location completely down system wise and that is sucking up all my time.

Since I need some time to finish that... I would suggest everyone involved post a well thought out response to the above stating your position given the information provided recently... this way I can definitely post something worthwhile and can further discuss what to do with Cassie and all commission share holders.

Feel free to PM me as well.

I also seem to remember something about an exchange for trading getting set up soon...
I suspect I know the reason why there are still no automated trading platform... In the very same day 50% of bond holders will sell all and leave

I'm curious why everyone would sell right before a period of massive growth?  We should be in the x4-x8 range February and probably another x5-x10 in March/April.  Seems like an unlikely time to sell.   Huh

SHHH

Some of us WANT to buy in further...

I tried to send some pennies to Cryptsy

First 2 transacions are deposited but rest of it like 4 x 900 m and 1 x 300 m and 1 x 1 didn`t deposited. Why ?
What to do now to recover it ? I checked it with small amount it was working then i send few 900m transactions and didnt come. After i tried again smaller and didnt come also Sad

Does everyone just skip tp the end of this thread and post their shit without reading at all???

It has been pointed out a few times already...

There are probably MANY of us on the same chain as Cryptsy... this is not the issue...

It seems if you are sending from any inputs with a date AFTER the Jan 8 cutoff, they will not go anywhere... but people here have confirmed a few times that sending coins from inputs OLDER than Jan 8 are arriving at Cryptsy just fine.

Cryptsy has confirmed a few times that they were on 10.0.0 beta and when asked about these newer versions... were more than happy to update further.

I feel like the majority of the deposits not making it to them has more to do with the stake change and recent updates than the chain itself... although i am sure that is wrong and it is something do to with the chain and stake and nTime stamps... i just don't know anymore... i even offered up my privkeys to Cryptsy to just import my coins into their wallet and credit me but I doubt they will start that given the long line of people who would follow suit.

@Cheeky

I was able to read about half of your post before I am being pulled away.

Suffice to say I like where you are coming from... and I do not disagree with what I have read thus far.

Please, give me some time to get back to this and respond accordingly.

@Cassie

You are aware of what you and I have discussed so far and Cheeky has struck upon just that... it is time for someone else to play the Project Management role and I would gladly take such a role along side any other investor (or anyone who has donated... that might be you Cheeky) to make this project a success.

@Everyone

Take a moment, and as an investor, read what Cheeky has put together above... I would not expect any of you to just assume you are forced to continue as investors, but the fact remains there are still some insights that need to be made clear of what funds lie where. As such, allow everyone involved a bit of time to state what they have to say... it is truly open forum time IMHO and if I am to be a part of managing this... I want to hear from you all and give out the proper information so things are transparent.

I will be back later to post more... I do apologize that I can't do so right now.

@Cheeky

While I would agree with the majority of what you have posted since this all went south, you need to take off the tinfoil hat. I am just as mad about everything as anyone else, and the lack of information being given would lead you and everyone to what you just posted above, I get it... I encouraged Cassie to file a report and get the ball rolling... it is what it is at this point in time.

With the information I have, and justin knowing I have it, safe to say if anyone had been paid their investment back to keep quite, it would have been me first most likely. That is not the case... I have not received a single satoshi, and the few others that I have seen discussing in other chats are in the same boat... we have squat. What you perceive as going silent is really people deciding is was not worth the time to continue rambling on the forum where no good would come from such posts. As it stands, even more stupidity happened outside these forums to others discussing this issue who were not investors either... I am not going to go into detail, but I will say Cassie, as well as other innocent bystanders, suffered from an undue round of Denial of Service attacks on their home IPs... Cassie's foremost more than anyone else... and she has been keeping offline while she dealt with her ISP, personal router and making sure all of her systems were not infected. It was not a nice weekend for any involved in that fiasco.

I discussed justin's post above with Cassie last night... and in detail laid out what investor's and onlookers concerns and responses would be to such a move. We also discussed who has what roles and duties going forward and how that will be perceived by the community here, as well as what needs to happen at a PR level if there is to be any hope of reconciliation with the public and investors. Likely, it will not matter with things like the above being posted.

Cassie answered your questions in the main thread (Apparently this is no longer posted here... sigh). Justin posted this last night... and only hours later you posted your rant above... maybe you should sit back just a bit longer on these types of posts and allow Cassie to put up something well thought out and proofed... seeing as we would all agree real communication is now a must going forward.

I would still prefer to have my BTC back... but the next best thing is this project moving forward again if it can be structured and managed properly.

Go ahead and pick me apart now... you know my stance on all this... if I can get my BTC great... but since that seems unlikely... I would rather help drive this thing on the straight and narrow than anything else...

It's day 6. Everyone's F5 key has been broken for 2 days now. Supplies are running low and the nerd stink in the room is getting overwhelming. Fortunately, grnbrg and LR's re-enactment of "Christopher Walken - Puss In Boots - Happy Cat" was so flawless it inspired us not to resort to cannibalism.

This is missing something.  I'm not sure what, though.  It just needs something.... more....

I'm certain it will all be over "soon"™.

Two weeks?  Wink

Just a thought: It seems to me a better chart of labrat mining performance - in contrast to the dual hashrate & difficulty chart - would be a graph of the cumulative daily delta of the percentage changes of hashrate and difficulty since inception. It seems this would account for the area under the curves and give a better idea on the trend of LRM decay or growth.

Spreadsheets, I love spreadsheets. (is that weird?)  I have difficulty and hashrate data from the beginning if someone would like to do the percentages, other than that I can get around to them when I have a moment.

Post em on Drive we will do the rest lol!

Pennies v0.10.2.1-abe released!
Download (Alt)

Changes:
 - Properly built as release instead of debug (doesn't need those ridiculously large files anymore)
 - New checkpoints
 - Minor splash screen modification (now you can read the bright yellow text at the bottom)
 - Released on MediaFire as well for those who can't access google (hopefully you can access this, I have no idea)

Let me know if this fixes your crashes for those who had that problem when it tries to connect. Don't forget to try wiping the blockchain first.

I have a little question: can you contact Cryptsy (and may be Bter as well) support for checking what version do they use?
If they have a right wallet is it possible to ask them for nodes list?

Cryptsy mods have been spoken with and confirmation from Bit John that they were on the latest releases was the response I received straight from them.

Mullick posted a Freshdesk response about some ways to fix your issues with not being able to reach Cryptsy via your CENT... I am in the middle of performing number 3 now (dumpprivkey and redownload chain with empty wallet then import privkey.)

i hope the united miner did not do the old "shut cronjubs , switch wallets , transfer money , turn cronjobs on "  : (

they said they mined 500 blocks but im sure i saw up tooo 1000 being found

no way 1000... http://daemoncoins.com/fox

Their problems started before they even hit block 700.

Glad to have helped you understand this. KGW is an excellent development for crypto in general, and quite a few coins have adopted it and implemented this into their latest updates. Franko is one of these, they suffered for a long time with hit and runs as difficulty dropped to nothing... whales would move in and mine them all up until the next adjustment... then leave the small amount of dedicated hashrate to mine at super high difficulties for long periods of time. Now, at block 400K, Franko Gravity Well kicks in.
That raises a question, what will happen with Franko?

The multipools have all been warned... and on FGW day, they find another coin that will reduce their profits unless they remove it from the switch.

This is a good thing for FRK, mostly because the people abusing the current difficulty issues were just dumping their coins for BTC ASAP. Now, the dedicated miners will be able to enjoy a steady payout and the FRK value should increase significantly.

There are already many services that accept Frankos... http://www.frankos.org/ check it out... the "Collective" is an awesome group of people who are constantly working to spread cryptocurrency use and grow the community.

Grab a wallet and click the give away link to get your first Franko.

From United Miners...

Code:
Hey guys,

We had a major issue (YES EVERYTHING WAS STILL RECORDED OK :))

But we've now figured out what the issue is, and we're slowly processing through it!

We'll hopefully be done ASAP and everything will be back to normal.

United-Miners

To repeat the information below: All blocks and shares ARE being recorded. Once we've fixed the issue everything will be updated - INCLUDING your balances :).

So reading all this and still being a noob, can anyone tell me how this difficulty thing works?

The method at work here was authored by the developer of Megacoin... he dubbed it "Gravity Well" because it has 100% accurate difficulty re targeting to keep the block solution timing constant no matter how much hashrate is thrown at the coin.

Basically... when it calcs too many blocks have been solved in too short a time... difficulty ramps up to meet the new rate needed to offset it, then on the very next block it calcs again and adjusts accordingly... every block... and even when hashrate drops... the difficulty scales down to accommodate so the fewer miners aren't stuck hashing at a higher difficulty than is needed.
So reading all this and still being a noob, can anyone tell me how this difficulty thing works?

The idea is that blocks are found at a certain rate, say one every ninety seconds.

If lots of people are mining it then the blocks will be found too quickly, so the difficulty goes up to slow things down.

As I understand it, anyway.

Thanks Guys it makes more sense now.

Also looked up what a Gravity Well actually is, and one picture made it very clear for me. How more weight you put on a ball spinning....
So maybe it also helps others:

Hey FOXCOIN creators wish you would of listened to me at the beginning this is a flop no one will waste their hashing power to make a small amount of coins per day. I am moving my 6 MHS away

All you had to do was raise the block reward amount. Think about it no one wants to mine a coin when they hold 100 after hours of mining theres no point we can't profit off it unless it goes to an exchange at a hugely overpriced value which is wont based on coins in comparison with BTC.

You claimed you would listen to people at the beginning

Later this coin had potential but am bored of wasting 6MHS and getting no coins ugh

lame argument,...

What Noobs like you don't understand is if there are no miners with larger hashing power mining a coin it will not make it. You may consider us to be pump and dump type guys but we aren't all that way. I hold stakes in all coins i mine and have a policy to hold them for a minimum of 3 months.

When there is no net hashing power and it is all comprised of smaller miners the coin will not have enough in circulation for an exchange to take it seriously let alone add it to their exchange as their is no profitability for them. They make money on transactions by taking a fee.

It's all relative and to further my argument "whales" as you like to put it are the ones who pay alot of money to have high hashing power which in turn has associated costs i.e. initial equipment and running costs like hydro etc etc. We have to allocate our resources to where a profit can be made, which doesn't mean pump and dump means trade coins to pay off these costs.

Look at DOGE their payouts per block and amount of coins and i guarantee it is higher than fox will ever get.

Good luck

This was true for older coins with outdated difficulty adjustments...

Say it with me... G R A V I T Y ... W E L L ...

Block production remains constant... so even when you "whales" ;eave... the same amount of coins are produced to be traded... however they are split by less people. From the exchanges point of view... they could give a rats ass if you have your farm on a coin or not.

The only effect a farm has on a coin is this... higher total hashrate of a coin means each KH or MH earns that much less... that means each coin took more resources to create and gives each coin more value. You "whales" staying on a coin makes them more valuable when you stay long term. Ultimately, when services like coinchoose and coinwarz add coins to their sites, the average profits scale to meet other coins of the same algorithm. That is due to people seeing it be profitable and putting their hashes on it... scaling the individual profitability down.

Listen to yourself haha... are you really bitching at the dev... when this si EXACTLY how Kimoto Gravity Well works? You are only making a small amount right now because the network is flooded with hashers... get a grip, when the 24 hour and move on miners leave, the remaining hashers will get more coins.

Also, KGW keeping production steady... keeps coins with high hashrates at high exchange rates... once they hit coinwarz and coinchoose... its all leveled to the other scrypt coins.

Now that i am doing the math... this is a bunch of shit... correct me if I am wrong...

60 seconds * 60 minutes * 24 hours = 86400 seconds per day.

86400 seconds / 88 seconds per block = ~982 blocks per day steady.

982 * 0.00000800 8coin per block = 0.00786 8coin per day.

0.007856 8coin per day yields 8 8coins in ~1018 days.

So we are all mining a coin that will cease anything but fee rewards in 33 months roughly?

I am out... especially after that IRC log...
