I hear that rumors about nvidia mining gpus may be true, my supplier said it is due july mid release 1060 variant 6gb for around 290$... I am not sure about this info..

Same old story.. I remember in my state, when they introduced "Computers" .. there was a huge protest saying people will lose job, economy will die away.. and the same people (politicians and journalists) are glorifying the same "computars" and now is busy "computarizing" my state..
Sad to see these kind of fear mongering and skepticism..overall negative approach to something new and better..

the 90 day warranty also doesn't seem to be right since I see many guys saying it is just illegal in Europe. If it's not sold in Europe, they do not have to apply the European law. If they sell them and ship them from China, they can apply whatever warranty they want. Even if the product is delivered in Europe. nice point, I am trying to build nvidia based mining rigs too. I have been watching closely this news and the guy who posted on zcash forum also posted a video on youtube saying the cards will probably be released on or after june 23rd. He added "the chips will be ready by 20th June and will be on the boards by 23rd", I kinda find it hard to digest. moreover no official word also. I am just being skeptical... I am going ahead with 1080 Ti and not waiting for this to prove itself. |

Good News? it depend how much is the cost, if they cost much more than a 1060 but earn more also, it's good for density, maybe they will just change the amount of cuda and redo the pcb, but that news look a bit fake too me, and just rumors, i will trust it when there will be somethign official from nvidia or amd what they show on zcash forums and on videos as 8x nvidia gpu is very identical to what looks like a stripped down ethminer made by some Chinese company by the name PANGOLINMINER, the whole thing looks fake to me too.. I too wouldn't trust this news without something official from nvidia or amd. |

This news started to circulate with some guy from china posting in the zcash forums followed by what I think are photoshoped pictures of Zotac 1080s and also pictures of stripped down PANGOLINMINER with 8 gpus which looks exactly the same as those pics posted on the rumor post on zcash forum.
having seen all this, I see very little chance of this news being true.

All the pics on the zcash forum where original discussion started looks photoshopped to me, also some of them i found out they are pics taken from a miner called Pangolinminer (china). Not sure what they are trying to do with spreading news like this.  |

I m preparing 6 rigs to mine ubiq, hoping to hit 1 GH. I remember reading somewhere that mining in pool with less miners is good for network .. is there something like this or am i dreaming? Yes, it's good to split the hash rate up among pools. So using a smaller pool is much better than throwing that much hash at the pool with the highest hash rate. Thanks, I will keep that in mind |
