621  Local / India / Re: Paytm Bank will no longer operate starting from March 1. on: February 09, 2024, 09:29:32 AM
I am looking for alternatives, do you guys know any way to move the funds to bank account without completing KYC?

I saw opt out permanent closure is an option but yet to try any method.
Without a KYC your money is as good as locked up in that account on a time bomb set for 29th feb. Sad

The only option you still have at hand to save that money is to get the KYC done ASAP, double time and rescue those funds.

However what is going to stop working is paytm payment bank and not paytm itself. Is Fastag running in the app or in the payments bank? If its the former then you might not have to withdraw it.

I am not aware of the above since I dont use it anymore.

I guess the government will have to increase the deadline because some users will be in similar situations too.

622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is social trading in crypto? Do you EVEN use them? on: February 09, 2024, 09:24:01 AM
One else, most trading content on youtube is misleading. in fact, trading is not a simple thing like their published. You must try it with your hand and know how it work.
Most of them are, I dont rule out the fact that some of them might still be legitimate and you can clear a thing or two about the basics.

From the OP's point of view, social trading seems to be same as copy trading, maybe a little bit here and there, but correct me If I am wrong. Though I am old skool and prefer just being a one man army while trading because hey my win is your loss here, why tell others about it?

Going by that statement it seems strange that someone will socialize with you and tell you what to trade on, unless they are looking to dump that shitcoin on your head - does that make the OP ponder why youtubers make such shilling videos? Roll Eyes
623  Local / India / A New crypto futures Exchange is in line - Pi42 on: February 08, 2024, 09:45:52 AM
In the midst of the growing crypto unrest in India it seems that a few people are trying to use the government's self-made tangles to introduce their new products.

Founded by Zebpay CEO Avinash Shekhar and WazirX founder Nischal Shetty, Pi42 is a crypto futures exchange.

Their idea is that because spot transactions take 1% TDS, using the futures predictions means no spot transactions and thus avoidance of this taxation.

Read the full news article here - India Gets New Crypto-INR Futures Exchange Named ‘Pi42’ from WazirX, ZebPay Leaders

My personal opinion,
I have observed that spot trading when it is getting obstructed due any reason, leads to the popping up of non-spot trading systems like leverage, futures, options and so on. Remember that all these are nothing more than types of gambling, only spot trading is where you actually have an asset to sell back.

Use them at your own risk, the more you take it, the more earning it is for the exchange not the trader.

However seeing such endeavors related to crypto by our own countrymen, does make me proud. The next test is to see how long they can sustain or how the government takes steps against them.
624  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Emails requesting Bitcoin. on: February 08, 2024, 09:29:55 AM
Almost everyone of us have had their email addresses sold to spammers and that means the routine of deleting that bunch of spam emails every once a while.

Anything I see that is relating to coins or airdrops, I instantly delete without giving it a second look.  By far I came to know that I have a number of Ethereum freely floating for claiming somewhere out there are number of expensive phones and cars and some missed deliveries. Like WTF?

For us seasoned users, these scams might seem laugh-worthy, but for many these are scary and they need to learn how to face these.

OP is a very old user of this forum, good to see them back online.
625  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor people need solution now on: February 08, 2024, 09:24:32 AM
Banks are essential whereever you life - can you find any alternative to them - yet? that is easy to use and everyone accepts is and has access to it? Nope, I dont and I am sure you dont as well.

While I do appreciate the enthusiasm to find an alternative and pitch crypto as the savior, you need to improve its acceptance in the locality first. Maybe then the government will take notice and do something different?

OP also needs to improve on their way of presentation of facts and conclusions.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: February 08, 2024, 09:14:52 AM
From what I could make out from the OP's post, they invested in a ponzi scheme and made some profit.

This is definitely possible, if done in the initial days of starting of the ponzi scheme the new investors are used to pay the old investors, eventually the flux of new investors reduces and the last few investors are left with no returns while the oldest investors are having their pockets full - dont forget that the maximally old investor is the owner of the site. Wink

However this is one type of gambling and is a high risk gamble. Newbies should not try it and I never recommend it to anyone.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 08, 2024, 08:44:20 AM
Do you believe in Luck? If so, how do you describe your perception of this concept?
I consider luck as that good thing that happens at the most unexpected time and leaves as soon as it came in. It should be cherished for that short period and not expected to come back.

Quote
How lucky do you think you are from 1 to 10?
I do get lucky occasionally in life, so I would give it a 7/10  Wink

Quote
Does your sense of luck in regular life correlate with your luck in gambling?
Gambling is a part of life so luck can come anytime it wants to. It does not imply that luck will always be there in gambling. Specially since hard work or knowledge has zero impact on EV- games. But in other aspects of life, work hard and luck can be in your favour.

Quote
Do you believe that some special things or actions can increase your luck?
Like I said, in trying to achieve something that is practically feasible with tenacity, you can work hard to improve your odds, but this will not work in gambling.

There is no need to change something that is already working perfectly well. If freebitcoin really wanted to and thought it was worthwhile, its team would have changed the current site design to a more modern one years ago. By the way, what kind of audience do you mean by "micro earners"? Are those users who still use the freebitcoin site as a faucet? If so, I think such users are no longer or almost not left.
Faucet users still exist in my opinion, but hunting that faucet rolls as compared to playing seems like a "nah" moment to me in today's average faucet dispense value. Most of the faucets out side have left the scene owning to costs and spammers cheating on the faucet, but this one survived because their main source of income was changed from ads to the casino on board.

Indeed the owner is very flexible about how the site should run and that is the backbone of smooth running of this site.
629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 07, 2024, 08:25:14 AM
Do we really have to bring in that gender debate and that toxic culture associated with it into the crypto space too?

Here majority of us are anonymous and prefer to stay that way, crypto has never been of that mainstream ideology and I would prefer it to be like that. But obviously someone will always differ in motions.

A lot of women already are in crypto but they dont show their details. I dont mind that, after all my job on this space is to learn about bitcoin and make money not anything else.
630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A student investing in bitcoin? on: February 07, 2024, 08:19:46 AM
Student or no student, bitcoin investing is not biased toward anyone. If you have savings, divide that into some for bank and some for buying crypto.

It is possible to buy crypto every month or in bulk when the price drops, both of them actually averages out, but since you are from a developing country and already struggling with earnings, the second option might seem better.

Selling should also be a part of the cycling of bitcoin, dont forget that.

OP is from Bangladesh and their posts are made just to get merits, no offense but this type of mentality of making threads and posting them for review to merit sources should be improved, you are not here just to get merits by writing stories, there are better ways to work on that. I hope you find them and improve yourself.

I never thought about disabling it to be honest hahah. I really thought I would win something at some point but nothing !!  Undecided
If you understood my statements, then you would be giving it a thought if not now later on.

Because the number of reward points collected can be increased in this manner and also the reward points can be converted to satoshis, you are essentially getting a few extra sats confirmed with every free roll.

Lottery is a luck based thing, you might never win it actually.
632  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: February 07, 2024, 08:00:44 AM
Agree on basically almost everything you wrote but there is a substantial difference between a social media campaign and been active on social media :  having a twitter account with only 8 follower , last tweet made on August 2023 is a total waste of opportunity imo.
They are not interested in that side of things, lack of team members to keep a good social media activity might be the reason. Having more members means more costs to pay them and this might also be a reason why they did not hire any either.

Quote
For example, I never used them but there are several AI tools, some even free, that help you generate contents and hashtag for a greater engagement,  some can also suggest the best timing to post and stuff like that.
Makes it look inorganic but they can try it. However I doubt the actual amount of engagement coming from twitter on gambling platforms, because the major users on twitter mostly use bots and sell their products in this manner itself.

Rather they can try the same on newer social media, it might lead to some impact.
633  Local / India / Re: Beware! Gov Planning a Cracks Down on Crypto Traders Evading Binance Ban on: February 06, 2024, 12:34:27 PM
Cant help the government do its dirty business once again in order to curb the use of cryptocurrency here.

The illiterate politicians who dont understand the C of cryptocurrency will follow and make comments without understanding anything and then we have these baseless ideas of crypto being used to fund illicit activities while fiat is not doing any such thing.

My friends here should withdraw from Binance and wait it out and see what the government actually has in mind. They might try to push in CBDC in this manner for a start, I have a hunch though I cant back it up.
634  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: February 06, 2024, 12:29:45 PM
The teachers from the school always try their best to educate the students with good education.
Also it is not the teacher's job to educate a child about finances unless it is specifically the subject being taught. But these things often do get talked about during Orientation classes in college and university but most kids are busy with other stuff. Grin

Quote
Among them, not everyone can grow up with good education. The main reason is that some children's families are not educated, due to which some children drop out of education at a young age. A child  Only then can he be educated in good education when he can live in a good family that family will be gentle and polite. And if a family lacks education, the children of that family will not get a chance in a good place, they will always be left behind.
I do agree about the point on family. If someone in the family knows about finances and they have their interest in your future, they might teach you about it that you can apply - what investments should you do, when you should start them, how you can save money and so on.

financial literacy is a must these days. One of the reasons for this is the increasing incidence of fraud. Another is that all interaction is now based on electronic communication. As a result, there are many investment offers, and you need to be able to choose the best of them
I believe that is more in lines of cybersecurity and cyber awareness, but it hits the spot, so not worries. Indeed it is one of the methods the criminals use to "steal" from gullible victims.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: February 06, 2024, 12:25:48 PM
Confidence comes from a previous win, because we all have the god-complex hidden within us, we think that we are lucky and in reality we might or might not be. Hence if you get a win, cash it out and leave if you are playing for profit.

Greed comes from a similar standpoint. People come to a casino to make money - that mindset itself is what destroys their bankroll. Gambling should be done for fun and the defeat should be accepted and not fought back.

However these logical reasons will never make sense to the addicted gambler.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you own a mining rig? on: February 06, 2024, 12:22:50 PM
They don't have idea that setting up mining equipment need technical skills and time.
Mining today with a good community to help you out from this forum, is not that difficult. Technical stuff gets known within a month or so and you would be mining in no time. Plus there are so many youtube miners, who demonstrate how to operate miners.

Quote
To run your mining equipment efficiently you have to keep an eye on the breakdowns and ready to fix them as soon as there is a break down.
Fixing is also not the issue in my opinion. Again the miners of this forum are knowledgeable and in most cases they will be able to help you out.

Quote
One must keep this aspect of mining in mind before starting it.
The biggest issue is whether you will hit an ROI and then cross over that.
637  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 06, 2024, 12:17:01 PM
Well you're not alone. I had 100k+ tickets every week for years and never won a single satoshi in the weekly lottery. I even did the math, it was incredibly unlikely to not win a single place but I guess that's just my luck lol
Consider having taken reward points instead of those lottery tickets. That would have been more profitable - dont you think?

This is why I disabled the lottery option in my account and instead happily collect reward points in its place, hoping to touch the ceiling amount and encash it out in a few years time. Its not huge but it is decent as compared to the despair of not winning the lottery over all these years.

Keep rolling on freebitco.in and collecting rewards, who knows the next lambo winner might emerge from this thread's regular members.
638  Local / Mining (India) / Re: How well people here in india knows about Mining on: February 05, 2024, 10:01:30 AM
Those legit mining corporation never came up with a schemes like cloud mining. They never even reported where they have set thier mining grid. The reason is anonymity as if none have followed it we all would have lost our Bitcoin. Being anonymous has given the promoters of cloud mining to hide themselves which is a red flag. Considering them to be a scam should be an appropriate decision.
Dont use the word legit here, its correctly said "ill-legitimate" if they are everything-anonymous and nothing is known but they are still mining everyday - what a joke!

However such scams have reduced in number on this forum at least because of constant vigilance from members but are rampant outside on different social media.

Yet to see a proper mining corp giving out public shares or tokens. Possibly Envion was one, but get caught up in its own creators scamming the investors and the case keeps drawing forward after so many years.
639  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is cheaper with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general on: February 05, 2024, 09:50:17 AM
That's right, why saving or saving Bitcoin makes our lives cheaper in the future because the value or price of Bitcoin goes up every year, which is different from fiat, the value of fiat every year definitely goes down, that's why the price of necessities this year and the next 10 years is very different because there are inflation and fiat value decrease every year
The price of an article may go up but the acceptance of bitcoin to transact with has still remained a rock bottom, growing very slowly. You can be super-rich with bitcoins but no shop in your local accepts bitcoin, how will you go about spending it then?

So you need both fiat and crypto and an added advantage would be seamless conversion between the two which is a longshot dream of many members of the forum.

Keeping the hope that in future bitcoin will become huge and then you will start spending it, is a good one too. I would rather suggest spending on buying gift cards at times before that actually happens.
640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: February 05, 2024, 09:47:02 AM
Most of the bounty programs are scams, and the same is true of airdrops, in that most do not give rewards to task participants who follow their rules and policies. In short, it only knows how to do hype.
Indeed, the majority of participants are made to work with a promise of payment while they get nothing. Usually the projects taken up by reputed members using an escrow to hold the money, work out properly, but these are few in number and get a higher demand from participants. The rest of the projects end up as a gamble.

Therefore I recommend only the signature campaigns that are paying in bitcoin, build your own post quality and join such campaigns. Till then it will be a grind, just get through it.
