6201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Geth bug cuts in half Ethereum's hashrate on: October 03, 2016, 06:23:24 PM
Bugs in Geth come from people pushing devs to release quicker.  The forum is literally sixty pages deep talking from the time that a fork for the original ETH was mentioned.
6202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | Building Mutli-Language App Development Environments on: October 03, 2016, 06:21:28 PM
A portion can even be set aside for the dev to use for promotion or whatever.  Because he/she is spending within the side chain, it is easy to see where the funds are going.
6203  Other / Off-topic / Re: waiting for a confirmation: what are you doing? on: October 03, 2016, 06:18:43 PM
While waiting for cofnirmation what I am doing is that I am surfing in the social medias like facebook and as well as watching some youtube videos. And if that is still enough I am researching some good trend to come with bitcoin and as well as what are the new trends in the technology. Because I need to keep on updated.

You can read this interesting  blog / site too   http://criptomoedasfacil.com/ while you waiting for confirmations.
6204  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: October 03, 2016, 06:15:08 PM
Initially i had the plan to get rich with bitcoins by gambling and betting with bitcoins but soon i realised its never gonna be possible to be rich like that.So now i have no such plans,my plan is only to earn a decent amount of coins now and not to become rich with it.
Many ways to become rich with bitcoin we are just lazy to search it and study it one we know it..
For me my plan is to promote my blog more so that i can earn a passive income in my blog..

I’m buying some dollars and bitcoins and I’ll wait many years until i sold them.

Then i will be rich with the increase in the value of dollars and bitcoins
6205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: October 03, 2016, 06:11:44 PM
Even if bitcoin is banned, people will keep using it. The ban can reduce the number of people for sometime but it can grow over time.
Due to the nature of bitcoin, it isn't easy for anyone to ban bitcoin. Bitcoin has proven the success of block chain to the world. Block chain's finest experiment is bitcoin and it doesn't make any sense for anyone to ban bitcoin. Look at China, they have stated that bitcoin is people's right! USA has permitted it. Russia banned it later realized it wasn't a good move. Gradually, every government will recognize bitcoin and will acknowledge it's true power.

Generally prohibited coins end up valuing.  and its hard for bitcoin to be banned for a long time due to the interest people have in this digital currency.
6206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: October 03, 2016, 06:07:19 PM
I am not making a statement one way or another about gun control, just using it as an example.  Gun control rules create a set of circumstances that means law abiding citizens have fewer guns and criminals have more.  The thing about a criminal is that rules do not matter to them.

6207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mobile phones and cancer. on: October 03, 2016, 06:04:14 PM
I believe in it. Although mobile phone manufacturers say that it is safe. But the negative impact of mobile is still there

Your wireless internet in the house, the cordless phone a few people may have still sitting around, again, these are radio waves too.  Now, can radio waves kill?  Can they cause damamge to physical flesh?

Yes, if strong enough, they can cook a person.  The microwave in your house is not spewing forth radioation, those are focused and concentrated radio waves moving the molecules of the food.  A huge Navy radio transmittor can cook or burn a person.

6210  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: do i have to pay tax on bitcoins ? on: October 03, 2016, 05:50:16 PM
so i wanna know do i realy have to pay taxes on bitcoins and does my gov recognize bitcoins as my property and do i have to care about any legal action by  gov on my bitcoin property ?

Right now Bitcoin itself is considered a part of the uncontrolled commodities market in the USA.  That means that you would generally have to pay taxes on profit made and not more.
6211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From 5 mBTC to 526 mBTC in couple hours! on: October 03, 2016, 05:49:12 PM
That happens when luck strikes in, congratulations on winning 100x on your bonus that you received...
Very few people make money with free money like I did once, but yours is incredible... Wink
You did great, may luck be always with you there... Smiley

It is time to stop.  There is an ebb and flow to the gambling and auto games system.
It goes up and then it goes down
6212  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: October 03, 2016, 05:45:41 PM
In my opinion paper money will be removed soon or later, because credit and debit cards as bitcoin will turn and become the main way to move your money.

Whether it is because of Crypto or other service types, the future of paper money is very limited

Whether the sites care or not, it is the people that are breaking the laws that have the easiest access to the tools to meet almost any verification online. Why did my fake ID not work buying beer when I was 16?  Because I had to use it in person.  Online, people have the time to do what they need to get around the rules.
6215  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Paypal a scam? on: October 02, 2016, 06:33:48 AM
The key to Paypal is understanding Paypal.  They are the kings of CYA or "cover your ass".  People screw them all the time.  They set up a new bank account, new Paypal account and link the two.

They jump through enough hoops that Paypal auto accepts charges and sends them to the bank account and then they send as much as possible, as quickly as possible to another Paypal account and then stripe the funds to a card.

Conversely, if the coin bottoms down the something like 50 Sat, the bot dumps the coin and pulls funds back from the inner token, to the InvestorToken, where it is safer.

6218  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can we see coin mixing services as money laundering services ? on: October 02, 2016, 06:24:31 AM
The point is......whether it is the government, your bank or whomever, you are being tracked, you are being profiled and that may be fine, but if it is not fine to you, then there is Crypto.
6219  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: October 02, 2016, 06:23:15 AM
These guys need a website, or a repository to compare things and work it out.  "Sorry Dave, you cannot try to convince people that there are aliens on the moon because it goes against Mike's story that the moon is just a projection by the government, maybe next week."

I really think that all the conspiracy theorists are secretly planning something behind our backs, lol.
6220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: October 01, 2016, 07:24:55 AM
question......I am actually running BurstCoin, which is a NXT off chain and I cannot find a nice way to shutdown the NXT client/daemon when needed.  If it shuts down wrong, then most of the time the DB has to be dropped back in before it will run again.  The console is too quick and gone for real info and the logs are pretty much useless, no what the settings for logging are.   The actual NXT software is started from within the BURST java and I do not have the time to pick through all of that.  The batch file that starts it all is

Code:
start "BURST" "%%~$path:f" -cp burst.jar;lib\*;conf nxt.Nxt

of course on the server setup we have the PATH set so the parsed code would be

Code:
start "BURST" java.exe -cp burst.jar;lib\*;conf nxt.Nxt

A few seconds later a console pops and the NXT code go forward.  If it works right, the windows stays there, if not, the console closes and the error is barely seen.....I catch an unknown in parentheses....then it is gone.... the NXT log files is nothing different than a normal run.     To find the point where NXT is started and add a pause at the end will mean tearing into the burst.jar and finding what happens.  I extracted it and it is pretty deep...not even sure where to start looking in that code.

So, question is this, you open a console and start NXT running...it is going along fine and you want to kill it.  CTRL+C works 90%, shutting the console windows is pretty bad, around 30%, Task Manager is not a pretty way to go, same as closing the window and gets a 35% success rate.  That code line above uses java.exe. loading burst.jar as a lib and referring to an entry point defined in nxt.Nxt within that lib, yes?

I have seen a launch method for Java that involves a start and stop key, basically passwords in a way and the java program or script is sent to a local TCP port that is not being used.

The script is running and then you can send a stop request to the same program with a similar command ? Is it ?
