6201  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC now above $5k, seem like its not just a pump? on: April 03, 2019, 04:21:48 AM
You spoke too soon mate:

Bitcoin price: $4,954.81

It seems that $5k, is the next obvious barrier that we can go get over. It we still have some steam going then we could go on another push in the next couple of hours if not then it will settled around the $47++. Not bad though, as the start of the week is really good as we have seen the price just went off. It's gonna be interesting what the reason though with the sudden price increase.
6202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkit Update on: April 02, 2019, 04:36:25 PM
There was a choice of wait and see what happens when the bakkt gets approval, or get first move advantage by buying now and enjoy the price rise. Smart people bought bitcoin yesterday!

No, smart people (investor) has accumulate in the $32++ range. Maybe a few people who try to make a profit in the $42++ range in February, but not today. The volume speaks for itself, and everyone knows that when the bull started it run, it can't be stop.

So for those who bought it cheap, then no need to rush and take profit. Just stay cool and wait for more FOMO to come in and push the price to $5k or even higher and be sustainable.
6203  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't stress too much due to the bear market on: April 02, 2019, 04:26:21 PM
And it looks like we don't need to wait further and get stressed out. Because the market is looking very sharp and this could be the eventual start of a bull run that we all have been waiting for.

See, everyone should have patience in this market because we all know that we can recover after a long year bearish trend.

And I'm sure that everyone is very happy to see that finally, an increased that only can be seen in a bull run has happened today. Volumes are up, price is picking up. And so all that stressed is finally relieved.
6204  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀✨[Rocket.Run] THERE WAS NO SUCH GAME, UNTIL NOW. JOIN THE THRILL. ✨🚀 on: April 02, 2019, 05:51:57 AM
And now because of that big Bonus, campaigns has ended Tongue

What a Sad Thing.

I don't think that is the main reason why they put the campaign temporarily. If you look at the statistics in their website, they are making money and the payout for that referral winner contest is just peanuts for them.

All I can say is that it's purely business decisions on their part.
6205  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: April 02, 2019, 05:39:25 AM
If any one tries to farming accounts and tries to sell or buying merits, and any way he caught by forum moderators, then he must get negative feedback.

Lol, you trolling yourself?  Grin. Or this is still part of the prank this April Fools?

You exactly get your negative feedback from farming and abusing bounties.  Grin

I'm sure that you learn your lessons very well. The merit system really did what it's supposed to do, get rid of shitposters around and even catching merit farming and some of them have been tagged as usual.
6206  Economy / Speculation / Re: FRUSTRATED AT THE MARKET. on: April 02, 2019, 05:31:05 AM
It is looking like we might have turned the corner and are heading out of the bear market. Price rises have been steady for a while now, and we are heading back up slowly but surely. Crypto has weathered the storm and has survived, as we thought it would. It is time to feel more confident.

Of course, we have weathered storm in the past, the last bearish trend so this is not a surprised. Although we have been picking up in the last couple of days and the price seems to recover and heading to another barrier point, $4200, we can't really say for certain that we are heading out of the bearish cycle.

Last Feb, we have reached $4200, but then again, it was just short live as the price goes down below. So let's not jump into conclusion that we are out, just wait and see if the price is sustainable in the next couple of days.
6207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Should Be Exempted from KYC/AML Procedures on: April 02, 2019, 05:07:37 AM
This is an unending debate. At the end, if still base on the project itself. They can do whatever they want, if they chooses to go full KYC/AML then so be it.

As bounty hunters, if you don't like submitting your details then do not submit, simply as that. They have their own opinion, we have our mind and there will be no compromise in the middle. It's either we give in to their demands and move on our separate ways.

Don't get me wrong, I myself is a bounty hunter but when they started enforcing KYC I move to bitcoin paying signature campaigns. Or perhaps in the future bounty that don't ask for our personal data.
6208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkit Update on: April 02, 2019, 04:51:57 AM
So it looks like they are really trying their best, working from behind to really get the BAKKT offering underway in the next couple of months perhaps.

But still, the final decision should come from Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) themselves, so it's beyond their control. Just look at the recent Bitcoin ETF proposal, it was pushed again by SEC (Bitwise with NYSE Arca and the other filed by VanEck/CBOE).

They worked their ass off and fully comply, putting their best effort, but still it was denied. I'm not saying that CFTC will deny the BAKKT proposal, but I wouldn't be surprised if they will deny it.

Seems like an exchange address to me. Deposit address >> 0x7f5847c0cd2c23327d9a24357a9f99c8ee100e79 (exchange address)

I haven't yet checked the seclogs and other connections.

6210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I'm now accumulating 15 altcoins, what do you think? on: April 01, 2019, 03:54:19 PM
Solid list, I must say, it's a combination of good and steady and long term coins and probably just a couple of pump-and-dumps coins. but it's all good.

As far as overtaking ETH though, there are lots of competition but I don't see them taking the lead. It will still be ETH in my opinion and then competitions below.

And yes, good time to accumulate at majority of them is still at the <80%-90% of their ATH so everyone should take the opportunity to invest. Of course there is a risk involved, but it doesn't mean you just gonna throw $100k in some shitcoins. The OP's list is a good example and others can replicate it, if they want and with a small capital.
6211  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoinBene: Exchange Lost At Least $105 Million on: April 01, 2019, 03:40:34 PM
They've already made an announcement about this hacking issues. And they said that all investment on Coinbene in completely secure.

Their announcement if you want to read;
https://twitter.com/CoinBene/status/1110834180437336064

In a row, unfounded hack news began to be published. I'm not sure if someone is trying to create dump again, unnecessarily...

There could be forces from behind who wanted to spread fear amongst investors so that they can take advantage and fatten their wallets again.

It's good that Coinbene has released a official statements to qualm the crowd that there's nothing to worry about, although I'm sure that everyone has heard about another crypto exchange hacked (Bithumb).

Again, another incident that proves that we don't need to put huge amount of funds in an exchange, just saying.
6212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren buffet now investing in bitcoin on: April 01, 2019, 03:28:55 PM
Makes me wonder though, what if one of these April Fools prank turns out to be true in the future?  Grin

But knowing, Warren B., nah, I doubt that he will just invest on bitcoin because he will be trolled continuously and joked around by his fellow billionaires.  Smiley

Nice try though OP, but we know what you did here.
6213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lightning Network will help bitcoin`s price reach 6,000 USD in November on: April 01, 2019, 02:34:23 PM
Bitcoin is the gold but a gold that can easily spend in everywhere with the help of Lightning Network.

You mean digital gold?

Of course, adoption is really going. Everyone wanted to get a hold of this so-called digital gold. And just like any assets, it has problems and LN is the much anticipated solution to it.

We are still the bearish trend, sad to day and it will take months to be able to recovery. It might be that LN could be considered by others as catalyst, but it needs more growth, more adoption in order to help the price to reach $6k. But I guess, if there is growth around the corner, there could be other factors as well that can contribute, not just LN.
6214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: April 01, 2019, 01:03:53 PM
Looks like Floyd is enjoying the Philippines, probably had talks with Manny for a eventual super fight again, but everything is still up in the air. But it's good to hear him visiting out of the best tourist vacation spot in the world, Boracay. So let's see, looks like they are really slowly building up some hype, (chance encounter in a NBA game then in the Spence fight).
As usual, business and leisure rolled into one for Floyd Mayweather. When team Pacquiao rules out a fight with Spence i think they are now seriously targeting the Money vs Manny rematch. With Floyd in town, i think the rematch is taking shape. The two fighters are set to talk on Tuesday PH time, i hope this could be it beacause i hate to see Pacman fight younger and taller opponents like Spence though he can beat them but for sure it's not good for his body.

Yeah i heard in the news possible both boxer meet here in the phillipines, hope they talk about the rematch and have good results decision from them because theirs fans are waiting this exciting rematch.

Very interesting to see Floyd going on vacation? Seriously in the Philippines just to take a vacation or are they cooking up something? Hmmm. Let us see what will be the outcome of this so called Floyd visiting the Manny on his own turf.

I'm sure they will meet here and Manny being the 'tourist guide' and show how beautiful the Philippine is. And then after that, probably have close door serious discussions about the fight and they must be drolling on how much money both of them can make if they face each other again.
6215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] - BITCOIN Technical Analysis April - TARGET $5,000 ? Today on: March 31, 2019, 09:41:57 PM
I never seen the video, but I'm amused by how many are really bullish about bitcoin and seeing it in the range of $5k-$6k in the next couple of months.

I think it's doable. I mean we have seen a lot of so called experts, perma-bulls who really predicts exorbitant prices like in the 5 digits. But we all know that the process will take that long. It was not like the price will spike overnight. Realistic predictions like $5k-$6k can really be achieved, might be slow but possible.
6216  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bithumb Hacked on: March 31, 2019, 05:48:49 PM

This is the third time an exchange is hacked in two and a half months

Cryptopia exchange hacked
Another hack : Dragonex

I hope that with time people will understand that it must be a reflex to say to themselves that you shouldn't hold your coins with an exchange platform (or the minimum), these are incidents that happen too often to expose themselves to risk.
We keep on telling this thing all over the years but people dont really listen up and just cry when they already lost up money.I thought that these exchange hackings would lessen by as the years passed by but im wrong yet these situations can randomly happen. This might really be an inside job or connected to that lessening of workforce by -50% as a sort of vengeance  Cheesy

I agree. We sounded like broken records here, keep reminding everyone not to put all their funds in a exchange and get a hardware wallet to secure your coins. And then one day, when we see exchanges being hacked, we will hear members here (usually newbies) bitching around saying that they have lost X amount of coins or funds.

Anyways, inside job or not, Bithumb has a lot of explaining to do again.
6217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap hit $140B is this the start of the next bullrun? on: March 31, 2019, 04:44:07 PM
So we can see some pattern here, and for obvious reasons, it doesn't look like that we are in a bull run yet. We are so far from that, imho

That's not the only pattern

Another pattern which is worth mentioning here is the slow rise. And it is not so much the rise of the price itself (I refer to local highs here) as the uplift of the whole trading range. In other words, we may not be making new highs (for example, in early January we surged to almost 4400), but we are nevertheless still making higher lows. If anything, this is definitely a good sign since the recovery is well underway

Exactly, it's going to be a slow grind, as other have said. Not a bull run, but yes a good indication that recovery is underway, it might takes months of a slow but ascending pattern, so we can take that.

This past week was pretty cool to watch the market cap go from 133b - over 140b today. Alt coins are starting to move again. If someone had to start trading to build up their nest egg and had $30 to throw into the mix where would you put the money?

I would not pay attention to this data, they specifically do not give anything. She grew so fast and can fall.

You mean, pump-and-dump, what do you expect from a altcoin? Remain stable, most of them have no actual use case, so yes, they will be used by speculators for their short day trading by hyping it and then the massive sell offs.

6218  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Netflix for fruits and veggies on: March 31, 2019, 04:27:12 PM
You should at least have introduced Bitcoin payments or a blockchain tech in your service before you even posted your thread here. It made it look like you are just advertising a ordinary service with no relations to cryptocurrency  in a Bitcoin forum. So do not wonder why you are getting a lot of hate and skepticism in your thread, it's natural as you can't even answer their questions straight. There isn't even a hint of a referral system going on in your website so it really looks like you just posted your service here to be promoted.

Exactly, he keeps on mentioning 'blockchain', but when questioned he can't answer some basics on how it will help his business. Did he just just the waves of this technology to sound that they or the company are more advance than their competition?

Good market ploy, but sorry, no one here is biting. We have nothing against you having your on-line business, but please don't involved 'blockchain' if you really don't have any idea about how it works or how it will improve and stream-line your business.

6219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not about ''get rich fast'' !! on: March 31, 2019, 04:17:26 PM
Partly blame media for it. First they portray bitcoin in a bad way, when people didn't listen to them, they depict in as something like a magic. "If you put money in it, you investment will grow overnight".

People get's excited, throw their money in the market without doing their research, and yes as some point their money grow in 2017, but after that, then went bust in short amount of time and then blame bitcoin. And when you go around the forum, there are still a lot of noobs, asking for financial advises.

Anyone here a victim of the QuadrigaCX scandal?

I totally forgot to include this one, self confessed victim of the exit scam, Software Engineer loses life savings in Quadriga imbroglio.

Quote
Tong Zou wasn’t a stereotypical crypto bro bent on accumulating flashy trophies such as Lamborghinis when he deposited his life savings into Quadriga CX’s digital exchange.

The 30-year-old software engineer, who’d been working in California for seven years, just wanted to save a few bucks on transfer fees after deciding to move to Vancouver. It proved to be a C$560,000 ($422,000) mistake.
