It may be another year where Bitcoin was the most profitable investment
Kind of funny though it has both of those notorious titles BEST and WORST investments of the year.

The state you are located in makes all the difference in the United States, some states have shut down Bitcoin banks recently while others are adopting and growing at a rapid pace while I am not aware of the situation in Kansas I do know that it's a crap shoot but the best locations tend to be cafes and restaurants.

In terms of machines I have nothing but praise for Lamassu out of all the brands you can choose from Bitaccess is a good model as well.
(Power issues depend on how long the tablet has been in use but newer versions tend to run longer I believe that is a bigger issue with low cost models such as Skyhook etc)

Thanks for the advice, I have done ample research on KS laws and feel very comfortable I will not be in any trouble based on current regulations.

I would love if the convenience store I hopefully get them set up in will then start taking Bitcoins, I would suppose that would be a great reason to have traffic.  Otherwise it could be tough to let people know they are there.

I like the Lamassu and the look of them as well.  If I am doing this, I don't want to cheat corners and go for a cheaper model that will have problems.  From what I have read, the Skyhook seems to have all sorts of issues and that's something I would like to avoid.  I know the better models are more expensive, and am prepared for that, I just won't start with putting a machine in all 13 stores lol.

True that, to begin one Douro should be a good test, depending on if the market is more for Buyers or Sellers you could buy the Santo Tirso also known as the Stand for it and make it a true two way machine, however one way is what you want as I presume that in Kansas people are more interested in the buying side than in the money remittance and conversion side.

The Douro by itself is a bit small by so you will need a stand for it so no one can carry it away which is easy enough to make just a few sandbags and a good cover for it with the bolts located underneath if you feel like it you can even make it more stylish etc as long as it can bolted somewhere.

Once that's done there are some general guides that Lamassu provides its users to get started up which should be a synch such as setting up a Digital Ocean node to a Bitcoin wallet, Putty etc linking to an exchange to base your rate on they have good manuals for it the trouble in the beginning is finding the location but if you have one in mind and know a fellow that goes a long way towards it or check your local Bitcoin meetup, if there isn't one you can make one and build your market and advertising through them like Unocoin did in India etc.

6223  Economy / Securities / Re: Is there any wealthy investors here willing to make real dollars? on: November 03, 2015, 08:14:47 PM
The economy growth in Australia has slowed down a lot due to the low commodity prices. It has also affected the real estate market there.
I quite agreed with you as regards the present state of Australia economy but are you saying the the OP is justified for asking for 1000 btc?

What I mean is that the property development in Australia is a risky business, not like several years ago, when huge profit can be made relatively easily.
That said if he is a valid licensed developer it would make more sense for him to put a listing on a site like bnktothefuture and post the valid listing and offer here for Bitcoin users to inspect after.

In all likelihood that was a miner dumping some coins onto the chain for profit
Mining is starting to pick up again the last 7 periods are positive and by the end of it we may even have to look forward towards a new mining boom.
(That or some miner was like 420 No Weed for you and teased us for a bit  Grin)
6226  Economy / Economics / Re: What you will do if bitcoin price drops to 50$ and you have lots of bitcoin on: November 03, 2015, 07:50:38 PM
Its almost 500$ now, i find it very hard to imagine it will go to 50$.

Bitcoin is heading to the moon Cheesy

is no where near 500, not even 400, where are you looking at?

this thread is useless, it was created in the long despair phase that hit bitcoin, and we all know, the despair phase is gone, we are in "return to the mean" now

He might be referring to the Canadian exchange rates Amph as cavirtex is treading around $500 CAD at present, the prices have diverged quite a lot due to the oil market declining even though they were 1:1 for quite some time so people may miss that.

It seems 30 or so FB likes has been removed, and the number of likes is only 973 now. I guess we will have to wait for a little bit longer for the next HH.

Damn i thought we would see happy hour soon, now we've to wait for some more time.  Undecided

This will be a fun happy hour, the rally might have a few more individuals looking into Bitcoin and perhaps liking the luckyb.it facebook page.
That said only 20 some to go now Smiley
6228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 03, 2015, 07:40:04 PM
The correction finally coming? I got a couple of bucks I need to move in with.

I feel its time for the correction, I am sure those with Bitcoin ATM machines are seeing huge spikes in the demand due to this rally and the exchanges having significant volume correlate.

6230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 03, 2015, 07:36:02 PM
This upwards trend shows the 500 $ target is about to be done in couple of hours or maximum in couple of days.It was seeming almost impossible a week or two ago but now it is going to be true.I would like to see stability instead of this rapid growing in price.Don't where it will stop and stable this time.

Oddly enough I see stability as well in this price rise, in my opinion its time for the next super bubble it may seem a bit strange to say this by I think we may actually see the 2K range this time before it comes back down which to me is an uber bullish statement, but it has been a few years and since then Bitcoin has made significant leaps in usage adoption growth and development.

A revaluation and look into Bitcoin and not just the blockchain is needed and the market may well revalue around there it's going to be a fun nine months.

Since my present campaign with Bit Starz is about to expire as the month has ended and defining a quality poster is subjective, I'll take a gambit and see if I can qualify for enrollment in this campaign.
If not thank you for the consideration.
You're qualified for the Hero spot, follow the enrollment steps according to the OP when you leave the BitStarz campaign.

Thanks given Bitstarz post I will have it changed within 24 hours, in all likelihood it will be sooner but it avoids unnecessary complications in case they look at the list and see a different signature before the payment is sent.

Back up to the $330 range
Looks like it might push to the next level, right now it seems like the pullback has stabilized again
Either way it will be even more interesting to watch whether it goes to $350 soon.
6236  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: October 30, 2015, 10:57:17 AM
How safe is it?

Not that safe, however when you made this thread compared to where the market is now
It certainly has been a good long term investment.
6237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $350 during november? on: October 29, 2015, 11:00:29 PM
we just reached 320$. there are 2 more days left for this month. we could easily touch 350 even this month. Leave 350-3500 range for november.

I'm in that mood as well, right now it's hit the $320 level which was an important target.
$350 in 2 days is a very rapid increase but then again it passed from $280 to $320 in two days as well so I'm not saying its out of reach.
6238  Other / Off-topic / Re: Celebration when price hits 420 on: October 29, 2015, 10:58:11 PM
Congratulations bag holders, the price hit $420.50 (quadrigacx/btccad) about half an hour ago.

Woot something finally hit $420 again sitting at ATH of 415 at Virtex with Canadian Bitcoins at 418.81
(Add in, it took a few days but it has passed $420 on the Canada exchanges and is stable more or less Smiley )
6239  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting on Elections on: October 29, 2015, 10:56:06 PM
How many people here want Trump to win?  I always find it so funny people get so upset about politics and they know they have the right answer.  How the heck do you know you have the right answer when you don't even have any idea who the person is you are voting for.

I sort of do just because I am a bit dissatisfied with the establishment in the United States and think this type of shakeup has less impact than people think, a President needs the power of his party else he would be a near independent in practice and that type of conflict would be good for the government.

Resiliency in action it would be ambitious to say the least to have three powers in Congress, a Republican/Independent president a Republican Senate and Democratic House they may be able to make decisions because they know that it's already a mess and can blame trump lol.

How if I forget the password and email ? Can I get my account back
I just remember my user name  MediatorBTC

Assuming you control your deposit address send them a signed transaction from a signature you used to deposit Bitcoins into that account alongside your username.
I assume they can lookup the transaction log and confirm those inputs.
