6221  Economy / Economics / Re: The market is looking healthy and greener all over again on: June 24, 2019, 08:53:02 AM
OP the poll question needs an update, we are past the highest which stands at 10,000 and getting back to the subject we are looking greener than ever before just waiting to see cryptos break the all time high everywhere.

6222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos can use AI to get additional edge? on: June 23, 2019, 08:49:40 PM
The gambler always knows that there game is being read by someone else besides them and there is no way of proving this with their famous line of defence "they can't manipulate games" but we know the truth and AI is certainly at play! I have had this experience with blackjack, dice and many other games....the losing streak is my evidence Tongue

One losing streak of one player can hardly be called evidence, to get real evidence, you need to statistically analyze millions of bets and then calculate if the real house edge is bigger than the claimed house edge. This is because in short term anything can happen, you can lose or win 20 times in a row, sometimes there are bad days for casino when they lose a lot, and so on - what we should be looking at is big data.
Thats how the house defends itself in such instances

-snip-
I like the reasoning, education will literally give children the tools to survive in the future....metaphorically speaking education teachs them how to fish not being spoon fed by giving them fish which makes them lazy. I am sure not everyone will agree with this because of parents trying to show their love and all that.
6225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between the Facebook platform "LIBRA" and Bitcoin on: June 23, 2019, 05:36:13 PM
The success of libra will benefit bitcoin more as it has a head start in this ecosystem and knowing the reach facebook has... they need a legal team to visit most parts of the world to have a memorandum of understanding for its use in the different jurisdictions.

Stock to flow chart, in real time. Wink

https://digitalik.net/btc/sf_model.php

Good morning WO,s
The chart &pointers were inspired by this article https://medium.com/@100trillionUSD/modeling-bitcoins-value-with-scarcity-91fa0fc03e25 and it has plenty of rich information, it's a long read just hang in there Roll Eyes
Pointers I felt hold water:
  • Bitcoin by the year 2020-2021 would be trading @~$55000 based  On btc halving, and according to the author money will come from "silver, gold, countries with negative interest rate (Europe, Japan, US soon), countries with predatory governments (Venezuela, China, Iran, Turkey etc), billionaires and millionaires hedging against quantitative easing (QE), and institutional investors discovering the best performing asset of last 10 yrs."
  • Bitcoin SF soon to catch up to that of Gold
  • possibility of achieving a $1trn market after the halving in May 2020
  • "Bitcoin is the first scarce digital object the world has ever seen" Roll Eyes
6228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I pay with Bitcoin? on: June 14, 2019, 07:26:33 PM
No need to limit yourself and family to the 5 places mentioned, you can easily get a crypto card and send your coins where you can swipe with your card.
6229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be legally accepted in every country in the next 10 years? on: June 12, 2019, 06:17:50 AM
10 the magic number, who will be presenting bitcoin for its legalisation and as far as I can tell not all countries are in support of this crypto technology, some country has given its decision to jail citizens upto 10years in jail and if others are thinking in these lines not all countries will be in support.
6230  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance lost $40.7 million to hackers, which exchange is next!!! on: June 12, 2019, 05:34:37 AM
$40 million is peanuts compared to Binance revenue Cheesy They have a special fund to restore funds so the users don't lose anything. Still one of the safest crypto exchanges IMO.
You are correct and Binance knows the importance of good customer service which they have and has made them the best but on the security side it could be nice to know how the hackers exploited their system as I thought this would never happen with them.
6231  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Phone for 2fa on: June 11, 2019, 10:24:32 PM
Before changing to your new phone the iPhone you can unpair your 2fa from Binance/kucoin and get google authenticator or whatever it is you prefer to pair with your phone
Or alternatively use authy to avoid above process like everyone has said  but if this data can be backed up on their servers I hope this is not a vulnerability point in the future.
6232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the time to buy ALTs? on: June 11, 2019, 10:05:24 PM
I say YES for quality ALTs with working teams and good vision. I think Cardano, Stellar are a couple of good ones!
What do you think?
In addition, I think you need to hold for a couple of years!
Alts like Stellar are getting recognized by other service providers such as blockchain wallet, Coinbase and many others, I think this could be a good time to buy some as demand could easily increase despite now crypto prices are low.
6233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any feature that i could see online and offline friends? on: June 11, 2019, 09:59:48 PM
Online or offline if you need help from certain members of the forum a simple pm could help you get some answers to questions you might have but others might not like this, I suggest bringing problems or questions to the public if they are not sensitive issue's.
6234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 11, 2019, 09:01:20 PM
By the way, Craig Wright actually is Satoshi for one simple reason: if it were not so, would now be shown the real Satoshi by move BTC from the old address. There can be no such thing that no one knows who Satoshi is, the community would certainly have reacted in an exhaustive manner to the grant of a patent to Wright if he were not Satoshi. Creator or Wright, or an alien from the future, the other can not be
Why do I get the feeling that this is a typo with some words missing somewhere giving us the wrong message of what was intended to be said.

Anyway I know for sure Craig is a wannabe Satoshi, even if he was going to move those million bitcoins wouldn't believe him lol !
6235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin about to go really high on: June 11, 2019, 08:51:33 PM
Price speculation is too high, 30 to 50 is just to high in a time when cryptocurrencies aren't doing so well, we are not even half way through the all time high of bitcoin and you say we can do this in 1-2 months.amazing!
OP just how did you get to these estimates and what factors or signals are going to help us get to this price?
6236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Old ICO tokens earned in bounty campaigns. on: June 03, 2019, 07:25:56 PM
If the coins are shitcoins nothing can be done and worse off if bounty tokens can't survive their first fall do we really expect them to keep up in the long run,No!

Forget about these coins if the dev team isn't around either might be a scam project and it's developers ran away with investors money.
6237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 31, 2019, 04:17:48 AM
the chronicles of bitcoin continue, so is there a positive or negative impact of the current bitcoin whitepaper claim on btc price by Craig or Wei
6238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Satoshi filed claim for Bitcoin Whitepaper on: May 31, 2019, 04:06:53 AM
This is getting interesting, now that Wei Liu did it first...this throws out Craig's claims of being Satoshi Nakamoto almost immediately, anyway let's see how this show goes, And if Craig is taking second place why does this not read "Satoshi steps out of the dark to claim whitepaper" or "bitcoin whitepaper copyright entanglement" unlike  https://www.coindesk.com/another-satoshi-second-copyright-filing-appears-for-bitcoin-white-paper
6239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling sites needs to be a mobile friendly or not? on: May 29, 2019, 07:02:19 PM
afaik this is industry standard, If am not mistaken most sites are compatible for both mobile and pc and if this was not available to all platforms then the betting company lose out on gaining more customers.
6240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed BTC? What will you do if your bitcoin get scammed? on: May 29, 2019, 08:46:08 AM
Getting scammed is never a nice thing and reading what other people have experienced shows that scammers prey on people's weakness to easily trust others...in the end genuine problems from honest people go without getting any help.
