Congratulations on your achievement, just needed to second the quoted sentence above since for quite some days now, i have just been logged in, reading around the forum without contributing much (post wise) and my total logged time still keep increasing. Took the privilege to also spend some time viewing most of the art contest application and I must say, the participants are really putting in their best.

I have also observed that most members are crossed over from the cryptotalk campaign

Most of those users were either banned for posting too much by the campaign manager or the campaign is now less interesting to them not forgetting Cryptotalk just reduced the maximum daily post count to 10 and if you observe their post numbers reduce same periods that announcement was made.

They're just acting smart since sooner or later the campaign would come to an end and it might be difficult then to get into another campaign so they're just utilizing this opportunity to get into a bitcoin paid campaign or probably they're tired and can't keep up with the spamming and just want to take a break 😁.

Lower post count with higher quality is more important than many shitposts. We are moving to the right direction. My admiration to Hhampuz.

This development from @Hhampuz is a nice one. He's doing quite a great job, I'm sure he's the one that insist the 15 weekly post to recieve payment since the payrate aren't as his usual to demand his usual weekly post count of maximum 50 posts. My current campaigns pays $300 for Hero member and demanding a maximum of 50 posts monthly that's around 12.5 weekly and a payrate of $75 weekly.

All this type of campaigns are very forum friendly as the participants won't get pressured into posting above their limits. Kudos to @Hhampuz,
6245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Disadvantage of promoting signature campaigns that encourages spamming. on: October 30, 2019, 07:04:25 AM
I absolutely agree that it all seems pretty annoying, a large number of posts and a very small percentage of quality posts really pollute the forum to some extent. What any user of this forum can do is report such posts to moderators, or directly to the campaign manager. All other decisions are in a higher instance, so if they think the current situation is OK, then there is no choice but to adapt.

Considering the recent change in number of post eligible for payment daily, the campaigns is heading towards the right direction since a total of just 70 post weekly is the maximum that can be produced by each individual which isn't quite different from other campaign on the forum considering the amount Cryptotalk is paying for that amount.

I know of two campaign paying far less for 60 post so i guess the issue of post numbers has been resolved. The quality of the participants post is the next issue to resolve and that can only happen if a manager is been given control over who joins the campaign and posts been eligible for payment.
6246  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ★ Ponzi Scheme - Bitcoin Doubler - repaydouble ★ on: October 29, 2019, 09:15:24 PM
From what I have noticed this guy has been tagged several times on different scams he is trying to promote but with the same "double" your money scheme. Is the tags not working? and he is still having victims here that is why he is trying to promote the same type of ponzi everytime?

Just noticed that too as I tried tagging the user, I noticed I have tagged the account previously for ponzi scheme related offends and the OP was also the one that brought that development to our attention. Seems the tag isn't having much effect since it's not visible enough probably if we had someone that has been affected so we can get a type 2 or 3 flag to make the warning more visible on any future or past thread started by the account.

This ponzi businesses still get patronizers from the forum since we'll always have greedy individuals and probably gullible newbies among us hoping to double their bitcoin as quick as possible. Good job OP.
6247  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cryptopump - Ponzi scheme on: October 29, 2019, 08:41:07 PM
It really makes you wonder if the people to join these kinds of scams are really victims or they join this kinds if scams  willingly and are accepting the risk hoping that they will earn from it somehow.

Both reasons, although with the level of information currently available I would say the second reason is mostly the case. Most of these victims per se willingly engage with this project hoping to be the first benefiters or among the supposedly smart ones to get quick profit and move on although that's not usually the case since sometime the scammers behind this Ponzi businesses scam their very first patronizers amd move on to open other domain name with same scamming intentions.

Supported flag and also left negative feedback. Kudos to OP for pointing this out.
6248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does it mean when project has more than one smart contract? on: October 29, 2019, 07:44:52 PM
Why then are you promoting the exchange through your signature when you're not sure what you're promoting isn't a scam due to your past experience. Your question would be best answered by the developers so I recommend you take this question to them on their group chat and when you do get a response kindly update your OP with it for some clarification incase similar question is been asked on the forum for me to reference your thread.

Here are some possible reasons though;
  • The second and other smart contracts are probably from scammers disguising themselves as the main project to scam Investors. I.e the other smart contract are fake since it's quite easy to create a new project with similar identity as previous projects with ethereum blockchain.
  • The project just recently swap tokens i.e they move from the old smart contract to a new one for reasons best known to them.
  • The project has different types of ethereum based tokens e.g Erc20, ERC-223, ERC-721, and ERC-777 standard tokens. Some project operate with different types of tokens either on the same blockchain or different blockchain. Your ethereum wallet are capable for this different type of ethereum based tokens so you might not notice they're different.

These are just some absorption but like i previously said, the developer are those in the right position to give you an accurate answer therefore contact them.
6249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin is The Best in Terms of Utility? on: October 29, 2019, 02:51:12 PM
Ethereum. When it comes to utility in crypto-space the first coin that should pop up is ethereum. Ethereum is the backbone of the cryptocurrency industry as without it most of the successes the industry has achieved in regards to utility of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology won't had be possible. Ethereum created the way for most of the tokens today. Without ethereum blockchain, ICO, smart contract, dApp (games, exchange etc) won't have becomes a household name in the industry.

Take no credit from ethereum as irrespective of other projects with the same ideology are popping daily, it still stands it ground as the king of all altcoins. Ethereum made everything (including adoption of the technology) more easier while bitcoin is the forerunner of the industry, bringing in exposure, ete.
6250  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source and signaturetalk.org on: October 29, 2019, 11:06:42 AM
Ending Signatures isn’t a good option, containing spamming is. I’ll suggest a voting system on each post, that could be upvoted and downvoted, and not just a merit system.

Although I second your opinion on the signature discussion but that of the merit system I oppose, you aren't the first individual to make such suggestion and probably you won't be last but still, the disadvantage associate with a voting system is the reason the merit system is far superior to all voting/emotional related suggestions. They can easily be manipulate, and the used of those features will be based on just emotions and not giving to users that deserve it due to their post credibility like how the merit is mostly based used.

Another's reason the merit system is better is due to the fact, to have smerits to send out, one needs to earn merits (excluding source smerits) but with the upvoting system such privilege will be giving to everyone without any effort which will definitely lead to abusing of the system.
6251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when a project fails you as abounty hunter or investor on: October 29, 2019, 07:15:04 AM
I suggest that whenever this situations arise, rather than telling the whole world how you messed up, tell yourself never again and pick up your pieces, go back to the drawing board and never repeat 🔂 that same action that lead you to following and supporting a failed / scam project in the first place.

No the best method to avoid falling for this worthless promises is by been very skeptical about any project you come across. Been skeptical is one of rhe many qualities you should develop as a cryptocurrency Investors, more qualifiies can be found here; Qualities worth developing as a crypto enthusiast (Investor). Instead of relying merely on the promise of project and invest via ICO or IEO you can keep tab on the project, monitoring it then invest once it successfully delivered what it promise on the WhitePaper.

This strategy would prevent you falling victims to scam projects although there's a little price you would pay, which involves not benefiting the total ROI if you had invested during the early days of the project but still it's a safer option then relying on just promises without seeing any working product.
6252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it WORTH investing ALTS RIGHT NOW? on: October 28, 2019, 05:21:50 PM
About investing in altcoins in general, here's my view; Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone. About Investing in altcoin now, well before you take that decisions you should understand that bitcoin currently, is the most safest investment and it's the coins currently getting all the attention even when few selective altcoins gain prices they get overshadowed by the success of bitcoin.

Irrespective of how I love altcoins, I don't think it's time yet (speakings on a general note) and this are just my personal opinions, they might be wrong so don't consider them a financial advice. For the next few months leading to the halving D-date, bitcoin will still be domination the space so Irrespective.of the altcoin you pick interest in gaining dollar value, the profitability of the satoshi value can't be gauranted so it would had been a better choice to hold bitcoin in tge first place. Don't think bitcoin will be giving room for altcoins anytime soon (on a general note) but few selective ones would still be getting a fair share of the market volume.
6253  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isis leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi killed? on: October 27, 2019, 12:30:45 PM
If this news is confirmed, it would be really great news for the whole region.
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is spiritual leader and founder of ISIS.
Without him, I don't think ISIS will have strength to recover and start their terror again.

Don't forget there's someone always ready and available to take his place supposedly this news is correct (which probably is). The second in command will take over his position and then continue from where he stopped. IS has out grown a one man terrorist group, kiling the leader won't have much effect since he can easily be replaced also if I'm not mistaken Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi wasn't a very public individual, he doesn't come out openly often like others terrorist leaders do.

Not much of an achievement here, IS as a terrorist group hasn't been defeated. This is just a distraction for 2020 general election. Trump just been Trump with his tweet "something very big has just happened" trying to overhyped the situation for his benefit.
6254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 27, 2019, 11:46:42 AM

Just the last couple of results have been good and Chelsea fans are already feeling on top of the world. The league is still early. We're not even halfway there.

Why won't we be happy when everyone wrote us off so early, the prediction were, we won't make it out of champions league group but after three games we're at the top of the group, they said Lampard was an inexperienced manage that he can't keep Chelsea in the premier league especially after loosing our key player (Hazard) plus the transfer ban but guess what, we're currently sitting at the top4 spot. The boys are playing very interesting football, 7 straight wins in all competition, 4 away wins scoring at least 3 goals in the games, all thanks to Lampard.

I'm very disappointed as we conceded 2 last goals from a game we were winning comfortably.
I don't think it's a big deal. And let's be honest, the 1-4 was a screamer that not even Oblak, Ter Stegen, and Ederson combined would've been able to save, and the 2-4 was just bad luck.

@EdenHazard have said it all as it's a very big deal especially if we want to compete with the big boys (Liverpool & Manchester United sorry City) then our defence need to up their game.
6255  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source and signaturetalk.org on: October 27, 2019, 05:09:44 AM
I have a question, does bitcointalk earn money from ads? If so, by removing signature campaigns you might get a high quailty board but then it will decrease the user visits and rewards which is helping run the forum, might not last.

For a start, the ad slots aren't free, it's been auctioned to the highest bidder with some few compromises where other projects are given a slot so yes the forum does benefit from ads although they don't benefits (monetary value) from signature apart from the fact, signatures sometimes are the reason the forum is very active due to the motivation to earn some bitcoin while you egage in discussion on the forum. Understand though, the forum can operate without signatures and also operates entirely without ads and still function properly since it isn't broke but this won't be fair to most crypto related project since the forum is still a very vital factor in the growth of the industry.

The forum can also remove signature but still offer ads slot which might even bring in more revenue to the forum since any project interested in adverting on the forum would be forced to advertise directly with the forum ads slots although this won't be fair to the members. The current way the forum operates favour everyone's since the forum users benefits, advertisers benefits and the forum benefits too guess that's why theymos haven't made a discussion yet to remove signature although if this privilege gets out of control without any system to control the negative effective of the privilege on the forum then there won't ba an hesitate to remove signature ads entirely.
6256  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: delete account on: October 27, 2019, 03:56:33 AM
You can simply edit your emails to some random word@ (email provider .com, e.g deletemyaccount@gmail.com). Do the same thing to your password, change it some some random words you can't recall then logout and your account becomes in accessable probably forever unless if there was a security breach then your account information get retrieve somehow by hacker although that's unlikely to happen.

Like others have indicated, accounts don't delete unless admin since a need to and in your case, don't think you have a fair chance of getting that to happen.
6257  Other / Meta / Re: Give moderators the option to demerit when a post is deleted on: October 27, 2019, 03:35:22 AM
I don't buy into the idea of demeriting a post when it gets deleted. Understandable it'll be a nice idea to combat abusers hiding behind deleted posts to avoid been questioned but what about victims of self moderated thread? If you put in efforts into constructing your reply then someone (be it merit source or average user with smerit) deem it fit to reward your efforts you shouldn't be deprived of that just because your post get deleted not forgetting even quality posts can get deleted for some understandable reasons like;

  • If the whole thread gets deleted, the quality posts get deleted too
  • If the post reply you were replying to, gets deleted, your post can get deleted too
  • Post from a self moderated thread can be deleted irrespective of the post quality, etc.

Suggesting a demerit should only come into the picture when abuses are involved apart from that I don't buy into the idea of demeriting a post for any other reason.
6258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 26, 2019, 06:41:33 PM
Just knew we couldn't keep a clean sheet but never expected the boys to give Burnley some hope especially at the last 10 minutes of game as that period is usually tensed. I'm very disappointed as we conceded 2 last goals from a game we were winning comfortably. If we're to compete convincingly for the top4 spot or probably have a chance to fight for the trophy then we have to avoid making such silly mistakes we made today and kepa needs to start keeping clean sheets.

On a general note the defence are gradually improving, Zouma isn't making mistakes as usual. Big congrats to Captain America (Pulisic) for his perfect hat trick. Lampard is buidling something special don't write us (Chelsea) off anytime soon.
6259  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: African bitcointalk community hangout on: October 26, 2019, 06:30:57 AM
You don finally start to dey trade?

The market be dey fear me especially as bitcoin just they move anyhow e like. Just yesterday it moved +15% that's gain around $2000 in one day. So I just reason to dey hodl since the bear market start few months back instead to try outsmart the market via trading. About the signature something, yeah the campaign go well for the payment aspect and e dey very attracting.

If u ask me I go say make u no too reason am when merit no they come yourself, e fit give you depression, just dey chop your BTC dey go and post decently so in case any problem come towards spammers for the campaign, e no go affect you. Beside you get better rank already.
6260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 26, 2019, 06:09:08 AM
So what was the payout for the 0-9 for Leicester?

I admit I am not following premier this year, can they compete for the final win of the title or is it only a fortunate turn of the event for their temporary second place on the leaderboard?

I still stand on my last prediction as I earlier stated when you asked if Leicester could end the same in the top4 side. I don't think they can compete for the title irrespective of them having more points now than when they won the league last time. Back then, Manchester and Liverpool weren't as dominant as they're currently are. Leicester will end season in the top 4 as they're currently playing good football and getting result when compared to Arsenal, Manchester amd Tottenham.

Chelsea are the only top 6 team currently in Leicester City's category although Leicester has more goals when compared to Chelsea's. Leicester are currently seating in the 2nd positive in the table with 20 point just one point ahead of Manchester City (although they have played more games).
