6241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Moving on to Other Things on: October 30, 2019, 09:07:46 PM
I assume we won't find out the real meaning of "moved on to other things" since only Satoshi knows about it. "Other things" has multiple interpretations and can refer to various things. So, personally, I don't see certain clues to guide us to the meaning of the words. We only can guess some possibilities :

1. He stopped using "Satoshi" as his identity.
But who knows that he really stooped or not, he may use other names.

2. He planned to make Bitcoin to have no owner.
It is matched with the Bitcoin criteria such as decentralized or anonymity.

3. Satoshi no longer leads the development of Bitcoin.
He might think that Satoshi's role as the leader of the development of Bitcoin should end at that moment.
It can be related to security, Bitcoin sustainability, or other vital things.

It's purely my own theory.  Grin

6244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite way to receive money as a gift? Cash or digital.. on: October 30, 2019, 03:09:04 AM
I prefer to receive digital currency since it will be efficient and easy to manage. There are many ways to keep digital currency nowadays and it can be used directly as capital for digital investment/asset. So, for me, it must be more interesting if I have digital currency than cash/paper money.
6245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China's President Xi Jinping said, Blockchain is vital for China’s future. on: October 29, 2019, 11:42:20 PM
There are several things that need to be underlined in addressing the statement from the Chinese president.
Indeed, at this time the statement supports the existence of a new blockchain and crypto policy in China and this is very influential on the global crypto market.
However, if they really want to make their own coins and control the blockchain, will it actually have a negative effect on other coins? Will China really be welcome to all cryptocurrencies?
6246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China can easily launch a coin while Facebook is having a hard time on: October 29, 2019, 11:25:56 PM
The influence of powerful people is indeed very large in the world of crypto. As happened to Libra coin that faces big and heavy problems related to decisions and statements of superpowers regarding these coins.

And now about the coins to be worked on by China, the chances of success will be higher because they are supported by people who are very influential in the country.

And could this possibly affect the ICOs which had been banned in the country?
6247  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Guide] Cara Mengedukasi Keluarga Tentang Bitcoin, Crypto & Exchange on: October 28, 2019, 11:50:27 PM

1. Cukup umur = (+/-) 17 tahun
2. Mampu = fisik, inteligensi
6248  Local / Marketplace (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Service] DroomieChikito Pinjam-Meminjam Bitcoin, Tanpa Bunga dan Anggunan on: October 27, 2019, 11:52:45 PM
6249  Other / Meta / Re: Give moderators the option to demerit when a post is deleted on: October 27, 2019, 05:12:21 AM
I think that you haven't read my post properly, because I'm not suggesting a blanket removal of 1 merit every time someone's post is reduced. Please spend the 30 seconds to read my idea properly and then comment your opinion

I have read your post for more than 30 seconds as you suggest. Don't worry, I understand enough what you stated above. You have your opinion, and this is my opinion. If there is something to attract you, you can consider it, if not it is no problem for sure.

~snip~

Agree, mate. That's why I said "a deleted post is not only about spam" above.
6250  Other / Meta / Re: Give moderators the option to demerit when a post is deleted on: October 27, 2019, 12:25:37 AM
Relatively simple idea that I think could help to reduce spam quite a bit. When a post is deleted, allow moderators the option of deducting 1 merit.

I think it's not a proper punishment for a deleted post. You must know that got 1 merit is not so easy for some people. Then, why to make 1 merit be easy to lose with your idea? Anyway, a deleted post is not only about spam, so I doubt your idea will be effective to reduce it. [IMO]
6251  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [SHARE] Kumpulan Gratisan, Giveaway, Kontes, Dan Sejenisnya on: October 26, 2019, 11:59:18 PM
Ane pernah dpt wejangan dlm trading "follow the trend"... Well bener sini kata on di atas. Saya pun paling cuma hit and run. Terbukti : yesterday high nyentuh $ 0.000436 which is 33% darinyesterday low.

6252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real Reason Why Bitcoin Price Shot Up Today on: October 26, 2019, 11:52:15 PM
because president china say they will use blockchain technology, then the price is flying.

Are you sure that it is the real reason?
To be honest I doubt it. All this time, there are already many countries to use blockchain technology, but Bitcoin's price still continues its bearish season. Blockchain technology should bring a small impact on Bitcoin prices. There must be other big reasons, and I think whale's manipulation is more reasonable than your opinion above.
6253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success factors of a project on: October 26, 2019, 11:40:34 PM
Fund is one of the key factors to success a project. If a project has already had enough fund before entering IEO or ICO, it is absolutely good idea. Then, the team project won't depend on the fundraising got from IEO or ICO only to continue the project. Many project failed because they didn't get softcap or hardcap, right? But of course to success is not only based on the fund or capital. The quality of team, how good their MVP, partnership, community support, and other crucial factors also contribute as well.
6254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your opinion about this investment strategy on: October 25, 2019, 10:20:47 PM
Welcome to the crypto world. One to remember when entering in this crypto world is that you may be rich, but you may not be rich quickly because crypto also includes the high risks, you may get big profits, but you may also get big lost. This is the main point if you are in crypto.

Well, related to the statement, what coin is XML? Do you mean XLM (Stellar)?

Secondly, I appreciate your effort to diversify your funds into several coins, this is the great step you have chosen. Your coins are good enough, but I think that you can include ETH to be owned, whatever, this is promising enough.
6255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions on XRP for long term investment (BEGINNER) on: October 25, 2019, 10:15:21 PM
DGB and XRP have their own interests. XRP is more trusted and it is safer as it is the top 3 coin in the CMC. It has big volume every 24 hours and of course, if you are going to be a trader, this coin is really amazing for daily trading. But, it commonly doesn't have a high increase as the other coins do.
If you are willing to make bigger profits for investment, I think that Digibyte is better.
6256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zuckerberg: we will exit from project Libra !!!! on: October 24, 2019, 11:55:37 PM
I think it's too easy for them to give up or exit. Why don't they make another plan to continue Libra project? I am still sure that they can continue the project if they are serious to contribute to crypto world. Facebook is a big company and Zuckerberg must be aware of it!

Anyway, they look unprepared with USA regulation. It is a big mistake for sure, I don't believe they are not ready with that.
6257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this why Bitcoin is crashing? on: October 24, 2019, 11:41:50 PM
September is typically a bad month

Yes. And October also seems to end with the same result. No significant change and Bitcoin is in bearish.

Baakkt is not doing very well

Indeed. I assume it is still no positive impact of Baakkt so far. It absolutely brings nothing for the improvement of Bitcoin price. Moreover, Libra contributes to making a bad trend on crypto market. I guess many investors feel doubt and disappointed with the progress of the Libra project.
6258  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [DISKUSI]Pengurusan aset kripto jika terjadi musibah on: October 23, 2019, 11:51:18 PM

3. Wariskan jangan cuman aset, tapi juga wariskan ilmunya.
6259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons McAfee’s $2 Million Bitcoin Prediction May Not Be So Crazy on: October 23, 2019, 11:20:11 PM
BTC  is at $7500 as I write and it seems we are going to end up in a BEAR market.

It is true. Instead, it dropped more. The current price is only about $7,477 and potentially to fall more.
OP must consider this situation and not only view on positive factors. The fact, we are getting away from bullish.

BTC price going to $1k is more realistic than it to be $1Mil in just 1 year time!

I agree with you. How could bitcoin be worth million of dollars with current price only around $7,477.
McAfee never learns the fact and current issues on Bitcoin + crypto space. He only wants to make a HYPE.
So, don't believe in McAfee’s $2 Million Bitcoin Prediction.
6260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020? on: October 22, 2019, 11:37:00 PM
So far, I just know one big reason, it is about "Halving" that is predicted to happen on May 2020.
You must know it since it is already stated many times on various discussions about Bitcoin price prediction in the next year.
