Is the shield tablet that good? Are they working on a phone too?
I have a Shield and it's amazing, never lags and blows everything else out of the water on benchmarks.
Do you actually use it for gaming? Seems a bit overboard to buy a controller with a touchscreen just to play Android games imo.
If you have a nVidia video card you can stream games right from your PC over wifi.  I'm just using it as a regular tablet at the moment, but once it's upgraded it will be much more than just Android games Cheesy

Like a VNC connection?
6242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vertcoin Future on: November 26, 2014, 02:19:41 PM
With the hardfork algo change coming up KnC's scam-miner wont be able to thrash the difficulty for long.

Being able to mine on off-the-shelf hardware without being scammed out of every penny you've got by crooked ASIC companies really gives Vertcoin a future IMO. That and it's actually got an innovative feature or two.

Not with inflation caused from those miners dumping into what little buy support remains.

miners never learn. They dump it to zero and then wonder what happened to their source of income.  Roll Eyes
How many miners give buysupport too? In vertcoin the investor is just the ATM of the miner. But if you are on the lower end of the foodchain you can only blame yourself because it is all there out in the open. Nothing is hidden so if you loose because you continue to buy VTC on the downward path it's ok because you can't handle money anyways and have likely poor math skills.

The problem is in the specs though. It's not the miners fault he's mining that many coins. That's the idea of the devs or who ever.
I would just recommend to stop buying it alltogether so it becomes worthless faster. Why drag it out so painfully? You could be on rock bottom already accumulating in the year long stagnation/accumulation phase that is shedueled, wanted and built in from day one in vert. You people seem not to understand how to interpret specs.

I would have loved to stock up on vert but my calculations have told me it is still too expensive. There is not enough interest in it to ensure that huge inflow of money that would be needed to hold the current prices. It'll become close to worthless. No way around it. If the community does not give up on it i come by in a year or two and buy myself a huge bag for next to nothing. But not now. Can decline another 50% to 80% if no new cryptobubble saves your day.

Maybe gets a pump here and there but just to enable bagholders to exit or if it's a normal pump it'll bleed out very fast again. Think of Vert as a bleeding pig. You got the idea Wink

Well my ASIC manufacturer isn't refunding my money or sending the miner I paid for a year ago any time soon so a bleeding pig is better than no swine at all.

It will be used in medicine, nurses will easily locate your best veins to take blood and so on.  Smiley Good thing!

The best product to be released in recent years the amount of times I've been stabbed by a nurse just for them to miss one of the veins is incrediable.

there are still years to go before the same tech is actually used in a real world medical setting

Google can fast-track it.

OK, the coin is causing p2pool to continuously send re-start requests to the miners resulting in a 25% drop in hash rate. This is unacceptable.

It seems to be working now, p2pool is a bit stressed but it hasn't crashed... yet. we'll see in the morning.
6251  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FRAUD WARNING on: November 21, 2014, 12:31:49 AM
The OP has a valid point, last November I was in the market for some Bitfury boards. They were sold out on every site except Megabigpower who only had bare chips. Too much R&D for a full-time wage slave like me.

In my quest for Bitfuries I ended up at Black Arrow who like everybody else was sold out of their Bitfury solution.

Seeing that they were producing real hardware all-be-it with another companies chips and were offering their own ASIC based miners three months down the road I paid over $5 for the Prospero X3: 2Th/s @ 1W/Gh/s, shipping date: 24 February 2014.

A year later I have nothing and they're refusing all refunds, fucking scammers. I hate these Romanian clowns and their Russian sock puppet engineer. They never would have got me if it wasn't for their use of Bitfury chips.

ROFL ... this is the LOL of the day !
So because u bought a HP laptop from your local IT store, and they refuse to fix your laptop, its HP fault ?

Cool logic dude !

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

The logic here is they (Black Arrow) used Bitfury on their website as part of the bait to lure me into their pre-order scam. The OPs point here is that there are companies out there using Bitfury to flog their scams and I'm saying yes companies are scamming using their chips/brand.

In reality it didn't matter what company I chose back last November, they were all scams I was doomed no matter what. BFL, HashFast, Cointerra, AMT, VMC, KnC, etc, every one of them a scam.

Is my logic really flawed? Are you saying I'm a retard for trying to invest in Bitcoin? Is Bitfury (KGB?) who only makes chips for themselves behind the pre-order scam conspiracy because it was the NSA who invented SHA-256? Am I fucking high or just dumb?

Dumb

thx

Maybe the Linux wallet is minable but the windows version is very broken, you can't mine on it! P2pool connects, goes nuts on got new merged mining data for about 60 seconds then the RPC connection goes dead and the wallet stops responding. When the wallet is restarted it gives an error about being corrupt and re-downloads the blockchain.

Can you paste the debug.log to us ?

The message exceeds the maximum allowed length (64000 characters).

BTW, the spelling æther helps avoid confusion with the organic compound.

Is the counter argument 'bunk' mathematically rigorous? ...
...

Yes, and I can prove it.

Code:
bunk * 1 = 0

"... In 1820, Felix Walker, who represented Buncombe County, North Carolina, in the U.S. House of Representatives, rose to address the question of admitting Missouri as a free or slave state. This was his first attempt to speak on this subject after nearly a month of solid debate and right before the vote was to be called. Allegedly, to the exasperation of his colleagues, Walker insisted on delivering a long and wearisome ''speech for Buncombe.'' He was shouted down by his colleagues. His persistent effort made ''buncomb'' (later respelled ''bunkum'') a synonym for meaningless political claptrap and later for any kind of nonsense. ..." -- wiki

He didn't come up with the Lorentz contraction either, but he was the person who pieced everything together. These other scientists aren't marginalized, we call it a Lorentz contraction, Hilbert space, the Michelson and Morley disproved the ether.
...

The M&M experiment is bunk, what they did was like trying to mesure the wind speed outside of a moving car with the anemometer inside the cab and the windows rolled up.

Could you make the user name also include HUC and NMC addresses separated by dots?
You must be thinking of a different pool. Neither of those are, or will be, supported by ckpool code and the pools that run it.

Merged mining is part of Bitcoin, you disagree with it?
