I guess you are reading the lines wrong, the old ones will never be gone or obsolete because we can't. Even we are highly technological advanced we are not yet in capable of having a change on our financial system simply because digital currency is way too far to compare to fiat currency which we use everyday. Fiat currency will not be obsolete but is heading to it.

Actually there is no assurance that it will show a better performance at the end of this year but there's a chances that it will be better again and performed nicely so mostly crypto has a chances to also performed better so it can gives a better movements that all of investors wanted to see because there is so long period of time that the market are bloody so some of us are felt scared and feeling doubt and panic  which is very wrong to do but we cannot blame them especially to those people that we can considered small investors that only has the aim to earn much more from this instead of having slowly lost. Bitcoin value as of now are still in the range of $6-$7k and will never know whether it will dump or it will pump again.
