Hey, just came here in a hurry to say that I'll take care of the VPS right after I have diner and get a chance to grab some coffee and kiss my gf Smiley.
Was out all day(unexpectedly) and just arrived at the office. It's now 9:15pm, let's see if around midnight i can have it ready.

Sorry about the delay!

I hope you are aware that any person can get your real IP in 24hrs or less, directly from Cloudflare staff.

Not going to describe how to do it, but any1 with half a brain will figure out how it's done.
6263  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for advertisers - Coinbits.com on: September 12, 2011, 10:50:28 PM
bumpity bump Wink
6264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Break In Part 2 on: September 12, 2011, 08:06:27 PM
I didn't say it was.  I said MagicalTux is lying to you.

Yes you did...

OH MY GOD! The same fucking mistake in another thread... You are really an awful(pun intended) troll...

You can't distinguish projects that deal with Bitcoin from Bitcoin itself.

Do yourself a favour and STFU you bescumbered ninnyhammer!
6265  Other / Meta / Re: Instability of the "Official" Forum on: September 12, 2011, 07:52:54 PM
I haven't had any issues with the forum perhaps it's on your end?

The forum is getting offline to me often today, I tested 2 different internet providers, and the same thing happens.
Others friends have the same problem.

Me too, already saw it offline 2 times today, one of them with a corrupt DB table... underpowered server is my bet Wink
6266  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 12, 2011, 07:46:10 PM
Does anybody else think this anouncement is just a crude attempt to drive the price down.
announcing this does not increase but reduce the likely hood of a successful double spend.

It might encourage more NMC miners to commit more hash to the network thus creating coins quicker plus cause panic selling.

Or to reduce Bitcoin hashing power...

Not me, but I do work for Apple in Cupertino LOL...
^^ Your assholeness is explained... Learnt it with your boss, hein?
6267  Other / Meta / Re: Instability of the "Official" Forum on: September 12, 2011, 07:04:32 PM
but... but... MagicalTux is hosting it... can't be possible!  Roll Eyes

I guess he under-estimated the forum traffic, or it's DDoS protection is fucking up. 1 of those 2.
6268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange accidentally sent 512 bitcoins after coding error on: September 12, 2011, 06:27:55 PM
Apparently not thoroughly enough.  Test environments are supposed to MATCH the production environment.  But of course, secure coding doesn't apply to Bitcoins.

What does Bitcoin have to do with an exchange that is a completely different project?
You should word your trolls a little better or STFU.
Or in alternative tell me where in Bitcoin is that insecure coding... I suspect you will not find it, hell, even Dan Kaminsky admited that the coding is f'ugly but very secure and does what it's supposed to do(and I believe he really tried hard to find flaws in it).
6269  Other / Meta / Re: Who installs SMF anyway? on: September 12, 2011, 05:43:48 PM
I didn't know phpbb3 has had critical security issues.

Because it hasn't, at least recently.

http://www.cvedetails.com/vendor/1529/Phpbb.html

And if you see the details here http://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-1529/Phpbb.html you'll see that the most serious exploits are in modules and not on PHPBB itself.
6270  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ALPHA] A *NEW* Bitcoin bounty system (needs testing and opinions);WITH SOURCES! on: September 12, 2011, 05:07:05 PM
Sure, it can be debian, I'll send you all the versions I can install to your email so you can choose the best one for your needs. I'm just emptying the VPS(still has 5 un-important websites there) and I'll get the OS re-install done and mail you the login.

I'll add you to gtalk. Delete your email from the thread because of the spammers Wink
6271  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ALPHA] A *NEW* Bitcoin bounty system (needs testing and opinions);WITH SOURCES! on: September 12, 2011, 04:54:14 PM
is a 512MB VPS enough for you to test it/run it?

I can get you one, no problem, just tell me which OS you prefer(i suspect ubuntu) and I'll re-install the OS and give you shell access. Probably gonna take 24hrs or so, not sure if i can re-install the OS without contacting support.

Send me a PM with the specs and I'll take care of it.
6272  Other / Meta / Re: Info about the recent attack on: September 12, 2011, 02:36:54 PM
I have no problem with bitcoin, it's the die hard libertarians that get me rollin.  It's always great seeing them get screwed over by the same system they want to push on everyone else.

If it's great "seeing them get screwed" why do you interfere instead of just watching from the sideline?
Your interference, and the interference from the other goons makes me suspect that there's more to it than just "seeing die hard libertarians getting screwed over by the same system they want to push"...
6273  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 12, 2011, 02:32:46 PM
California - Sacramento - Comcast Cable Communications <--- That's the "host" for the server IP in the whois, so he is probably running the site at his home connection. Internet outage, maybe?
6274  Other / Meta / Re: Info about the recent attack on: September 12, 2011, 01:32:35 PM
Anyone with a brain ignored you me a long time ago.  Guess I you should too, after all I only came to this forum to troll.

FTFY

Now, STFU and GTFO!

You seem upset.

Upset?  Huh

You seem more upset than me, after all it's you who came here just to troll a forum about something you don't like... Is Bitcoin a threat to you in some way?

6276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [WTB] looking to buy bitcoins through paypal on: September 12, 2011, 10:02:39 AM
That's against Paypal ToS and, being you a new user here with only 1 post i doubt someone will sell any to you.
6277  Other / Meta / Re: Info about the recent attack on: September 12, 2011, 09:32:38 AM
I just don't understand why the forum needed to be moved to a new server if the fuckin exploit was on the forum script and not on the server, but i guess that's how shit is managed around here...
6278  Other / Meta / Re: Who installs SMF anyway? on: September 11, 2011, 03:56:32 PM
I would recomend not adding too many mods to phpbb3 though because that's where it all goes wrong.

Or to any other forum script Wink The MODs are always the problem Cheesy
6279  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Safebit - Official Preview Version released today! on: September 11, 2011, 03:48:23 PM
And what about http://www.safebit.net/ and their problem with you using the same name as their product?
Has it been resolved?

Before anyone asks, the owner of safebit.net sent me a mail because I posted about this safebit at Coinbits.com and I sent a PM to the OP, but he never acknowledged if he even got the PM, so I'm asking here.

The mail that i got was the following
Quote
Hello.
I see that you have a product named SafeBit.
I'd like to point out that we also have a product with the same name, a much older product. I highly recommend that you change the name of your product - since it's a newer product anyway.

Thank you.
Adrian Gheara.
www.safebit.net

Yes, he thought i was the owner of safebit(or he sent the same email to lots of blog owners, i dunno) Roll Eyes

EDIT: I see that the OP talked about this matter a few posts back, sorry, haven't read the whole thread.
6280  Other / Meta / Re: Info about the recent attack on: September 11, 2011, 03:33:20 PM
I'm not aware of PHPBB3 ever having these security problems. My personal opinion is that PHPBB3 is the best out of the free forums software. The only issue id that it doesn't have a plugin interface like with wordpress for example. Modifications can conflict more easily with it's easymod installation system.

But phpbb also lets you auto-update and auto-merge the modifications on the new files.

Yes, it is commercial and from I've read, worth it. I don't believe Canonical would use it for the Ubuntu forums if there was an open source package that was as good. It's also used by WebHostingTalk, one of the biggest web host forums.

PHPBB is free, open source and is used on warez-bb.org, the biggest warez forum and probably the most attacked forum on the whole internet. Ofcourse i suspect they have a good security team taking care of warez-bb.
