6281  Economy / Economics / Re: Global Wave of Debt Is Largest, Fastest in 50 Years on: January 14, 2020, 03:51:21 AM
I am pretty sure debt in big corporations increase as well and this is not just us that causes this. I mean sure avarage person has more debt right now compared to 50 years ago and sure we have been getting bigger and bigger inflation which results with our income to be bigger (only slightly) and of course our debt to be bigger (much bigger than increase in our salary) however considering companies are investing billions into stuff to make even more billions in return could be a problem as well.

Just recently amazon opened up places in 7 new nations, that must have caused them billions of dollars easily but eventually they are in 7 more nations now and that would result with a lot of profits in the long run, that kind of stuff increases debt but also increases future profits as well.
6282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to buy Bitcoin anonymously in US on: January 14, 2020, 03:17:46 AM
You can still do the localbitcoin type of deal with just in hand cash transactions as well without worrying about doing digital, there are methods to contact with those people online via email etc and then you can learn where they are from and you can make transactions by meeting somewhere and you will give them cash and they will give you the bitcoins and you can get a cup of coffee while waiting for confirmation if you are still not sure about it.

However, if you want to be anonymous, and I mean truly anonymous, just buy from somewhere overseas, that way nobody will ask you what this money was for because usually sending it overseas means the country that receives the money asks that question which is their problem and you will get bitcoin that nobody knows about.
6283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency VS Forex on: January 13, 2020, 05:14:48 PM
I don't really get how people could "lose all their money", I mean sure there could be people who lose their money but at the same time someone else earns that money as well in the end. Surely it could be another individual or it could be banks, exchanges, anyone really, money doesn't go out of the system, it is not burning down and thrown to garbage, it is still right there, just held by someone else.

Hopefully, people will realize that before they criticize how the bitcoin or crypto trading ecosystem works, you may end up losing a lot of money when you get here, but that is not bitcoins fault nor it is anyone elses, because while you are losing money someone else is getting richer at the same time which means you could have been the one that gets richer if you picked the right option.
6284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Futures Manipulation on: January 13, 2020, 04:04:48 PM
Not that anyone with one billion dollars would ever go into future manipulation like that because we are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars lost if they can't do what they are trying to do, don't get me wrong it may sound easy to you but this is a market with billions of dollars of volume and there is a high chance you can achieve what you are trying to do if you have one billion dollars but on the off chance you fail, that is hundreds of millions of dollars, not hundreds of dollars.

However, even if they want to do what you are saying, they have to first buy a lot of bitcoin before buying long, you need bitcoin to buy bitcoin long anyway, so they can only buy a lot of bitcoin after the long with whatever is left, same with buying short futures with bitcoin as well, then sell the rest, so they can't do huge moves with one swift motion, they have to keep putting it into two different things.
6285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 13, 2020, 03:43:15 PM
I think Southampton circled in the calendar this game, they lost 9-0 last time if you guys can remember and that was humiliating for them, so they wanted to make sure they play the best ever possible game of their life, like even if in the end they can't even walk anymore, they wanted to put all they got in the field.

So, it was still a very difficult game for them but managed to beat Leicester, not like it returns that 9-0 back and nobody will remember this game in few weeks but at least they know they hurt Leicesters chances to become the second team in the league with this. Honestly when you are that high in the rankings, there is not much changing, like some money and rewards but that's about it, you go to champions league and you make a decent amount of money there as well and everything goes on.
6286  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com SPORTS BETTING NOW LIVE! 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 on: January 11, 2020, 06:43:46 AM
The winnings posted by you I don't think its true, even if it is only one user out of millions would get that if he is extremely lucky.
I guess you are new to the gambling world. Go research the name "Archie Karas" and you will learn that this win is nothing compared to what he achieved. Its not impossible, but very, very difficult.

WOW! I become encouraged when I see the big win photos on the gambling forums, social media. My friends also prefer old-school gambling, they all think what I do in the gambling sites is a waste of time. Due to the scam sites, the trust level is at its worst level but the fair casinos will recover this sooner or later.
This is the problem people. Don't get encouraged by these big wins since they are basically rare to begin with. Invest only what you are willing to lose. Don't blindly pour all your money into these sites and regret it later on just because you observed others win this way.
I think the reason for big wins to be posted is not to actually encourage you to gamble but more like showing you what is possible and how legit a casino is. Just to give an example that 50 bitcoin bet on sportsbook that turned into 88 bitcoin returned is also a way of saying "here we are giving 88 bitcoins back to someone, 38 of it from us", so basically stake is promoting themselves as well on how legit they are and how much money they do give whenever people gamble.

We might be influenced by it and gamble more as well with the hopes of getting more money and that is even a bigger plus but I feel like that is not the main point of it, I feel like main point is to just show people there are people who gamble a lot and win as well aside from all the losers.
6287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will the price of LTC peak again in 2020? on: January 10, 2020, 03:20:07 PM
It depends on what you mean when you talk about "price" of litecoin, do you mean price of litecoin in bitcoin terms or do you mean in dollar terms. If you mean bitcoin terms I feel like the price will not go up as much as everyone thinks, bitcoin will have a halving very soon and that will result with price going up or at least that is what everyone counts on, so if everything goes according to play for bitcoin we will probably end up the year with at least 2x once again (like $3.5k last year to $7k this year, will be $7k to $14k this year) at the very least.

Now, litecoin could go up even higher than 2x and that is quite possible but since bitcoin will go up as well I doubt price of litecoin in bitcoin terms will be too much higher, just a bit higher. However if you are talking about dollar terms, I am 90% sure price of litecoin will definitely go up this year for sure.
6288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which crypto is good for long trading? on: January 10, 2020, 07:52:50 AM
Hello people! I'm just wondering.. Aside from bitcoin, what are the other crypto that you are trading? And do you have any recommendation? Thanks in advance..
Kinda depends on what you want out of a coin isn't it? I mean if it is a high high return with high risk then you could always invest your money into some IEO that is coming out new and potentially could make you 30x of your money or lose 80% of all your money as well, you flip a coin there and hope you are right. If you want steady but surely growth over years, I am pretty sure there is no other like bitcoin, you should always consider that in your portfolio when you make one.

If you want both a bit steady but also risky, so in the middle of bitcoin and new coins, you could pick something out of top 10, however I would advise against bch, bsv, xrp, those are coins that are controversial, you can like them or hate them but having them on your portfolio will always be risky. Coins like eth, ada, dash, ltc, eos, bnb, monero would all be pretty decent ideas.
6289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here Are the Five Blockchain Projects to Keep an Eye on in 2020 on: January 10, 2020, 06:54:22 AM
I wish you shared at least the names of the blockchains you found interesting here as well instead of basically begging for a click to your website, your website will not grow if all you do is create clickbait stuff like this.

Moreover,  your article is quite strong as well, like you share these articles fully in here or anywhere else people may come in and enjoy and want to read whatever you will write next, that is how you truly gain visitors. Thanks ansi for writing the coins, I already visited unfortunately but at least it is good to have someone who thinks of others as well.

I can only agree with the Tezos one because I have spoken with people on that team before and they were good people and not scammers, I don't know if they will succeed or fail but I am pretty convinced they won't scam at least.
6290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Darknet's Child Porn and Bitcoin on: January 09, 2020, 05:03:16 PM
Plus, the problem with defending bitcoin is that, you see news like this and people attack bitcoin as well thinking there was absolutely no child pornography before bitcoin was ever created in 2008, that is not true, even a world without bitcoin would have these types of people and for some reason people think that just because you defended bitcoin in a case like this and said people could have done this some other way if bitcoin didn't exist, they think you are defending the criminal and attack you as well, same happened when this was fresh news on reddit and people attacked everyone who defended bitcoin.

Bitcoin had absolutely no role in this, as you can see people were caught and brought to justice even when bitcoin was used. Same with drug dealers and merchant of deaths and many other illegal activities people use bitcoin for, you don't really get rid of all the crimes if you remove money out of it.
6291  Economy / Speculation / Re: My theory: no more significant price drops as we approach halvening on: January 09, 2020, 03:50:24 PM
As soon as you said it, there was a 5% drop in price after this topic was created. Which goes to show you that we are still in the unknown zone for bitcoin, we all want it to go up and not go down at all but in the end we can't know what will happen 100% of the time. If you asked me I would 100% agree with the OP on the fact that price will not drop too much anymore, yet here we are 5% down from 24 hours ago and that is kinda the point, we are all wrong when it comes to bitcoin price predictions, maybe we can be right once or twice but eventually will be wrong.

However, just because we are down now doesn't mean we won't go up again, we will, maybe in next few days, maybe right after I post this or maybe in a month but I am 100% sure as much as we fall, we also get back up as well.
6292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 09, 2020, 03:28:31 PM
I can sort of understand people wishing Lakers ill because Lakers have so many rings and even in the last 20 years they won 5 rings which is only followed by spurs and nobody else won that many rings, hell even warriors had a huge trouble while them being basically the best team in the NBA for 5-6 years straight as well. However the real thing is, AD is staying in Lakers, dude declined 140 million dollars because he wants the 200 million dollar new contract which also allows him to have 5 years of veteran max as well.

I understand it is not about money for everyone in the NBA and we have seen that multiple times like how Kevin Durant got a pay cut to be in warriors etc but this would have been idiotic for AD to sign. This way he will make both a lot more money per year plus he will make more money on his veteran career as well when the new one ends, so it makes sense.
6293  Economy / Speculation / Re: At Which Percentage Profit Would You Sell Your Bitcoin? on: January 09, 2020, 02:43:40 PM
Do you all really look at your profits in terms of percentage or do you look at them in dollar terms? If I do have 200% profits but only have 100 dollars does it really worth to sell it at that point? Obviously that is not money I can honestly change my life, it is not bad, it is decent but nothing of worth would change in my life with that kind of money. However, if I have 10% profit and that is 10k dollars I would totally sell as well.

So, I do not look at my profits in percentage basis but how much money I have in fiat, I do keep on investing more and more fiat into bitcoin (and crypto in general) because I want to eventually have enough to retire and never work again, but I do profit time to time which increases my overall savings as well. I want to have around 10-20 thousand dollars in my bank account before I will ever consider selling.
6294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Brace yourselves, there is FOMO coming on: January 09, 2020, 01:58:12 PM
I am not entirely sure if it is FOMO or not, after all we have seen the price move from 7300 to first 7900 levels and it went south to 7500 levels once again before it reached to 8300 levels; which means there was a huge drop in between the increases as well, when there is a FOMO going on the price doesn't fall back down, it just goes up without stopping like a skyrocket and this wasn't that.

I feel like this was a calculated and expected increase of bitcoin, the price got stuck at around 7k for far too long and people were expecting a move from bitcoin for months now, it could have been going to 6k or going up to 9k and wouldn't matter because people just wanted some move instead of staying still and that move just happened, I doubt there will be anything else, we will stay around these prices for a while most likely.
6295  Economy / Economics / Re: World Economy and war situation and crypto on: January 09, 2020, 01:28:38 PM
I honestly imagined Iran would do nothing about it but seeing how Iran is now attacking the military base of USA and even tho USA said there was zero casualties and Iran claiming there was 80 (doesn't matter which one we believe in) that is literally blowing the war horn for both nations. Now, the only thing left for USA to do is either propose a war on Iran at the congress level and bringing it up to senate which we all know will accept and help Trump get reelected, or they will do nothing.

When it comes to war we all know USA will side with having a war instead of having peace so things are not looking out that great. Lets hope we can evade another war in middle east created by USA for political gain purposes like Bush did with Iraq but unfortunately it doesn't look too good.
6296  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Views: Which Innovative Ways Government Might Use To Expand Crypto Use on: January 09, 2020, 06:09:11 AM
Maybe governments could use crypto to create some new way of tax that would help with creating new renewable energy sources?

I mean the idea is that bitcoin is using electricity to be mined and created, which uses mostly the old way of electricity and not renewable in many nations, after all of that crypto is mined and that crypto could be taxed and use that crypto tax to build new solar panels, new wind mills new hydro and so forth so forth to basically change the energy sector from ground up.

In many places like China government has their own electricity companies that create the energy source, so it wouldn't be unfair to private companies to build new things since they are already doing it in government level, sure that could be unfair advantage in places like UK but we gotta start somewhere and China with its miners and bad energy sources could be the first nation to transcend bitcoin income into renewable energy sources.
6297  Economy / Economics / Re: Best Stocks to buy this year? on: January 08, 2020, 04:20:56 PM
Financial companies are always a good way to invest your money because in the best case they make profits, in the worst case they get bailed out by the country and they end up being bad for a while but recover, look at bank of america, they almost got bankrupted but then recovered now.

I would say including some wall street ones, pfizer is a good choice, insurance is good choice as well, right now depending on how this war thing will continue having some weapons companies would be a good idea as well, mineral mining companies are always a risk that may yield profitable if they struck gold (literally and figuratively) aside from that I believe gaming companies that haven't created a new game in few years could be good as well, depending on if they have any games releasing soon.
6298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 08, 2020, 03:36:37 PM
Anthony Davis is definitely staying for the same exact reason people mentioned, he will get more money in Lakers for sure next season when contract ends.

However, what people are missing out is what happens after the 5 year ends as well, I know 26 right now and 10 year period looks too much but if he waits until next season he will be 27 and he will get a 5 year contract which will put him on 32 years old, when you are 32 years old you get veteran max which is different from regular max, and at 32 he will have advantage of both being still good and bring something to the table but also very old when the contract ends, just like Chris Paul for example.

So, dude will have a chance to have his last 5 year contract and make INSANE amount of money in the next 11 years with 1 year waiting ,5 year regular max, 5 year veteran max, that is like close to 400 million dollars or so, that is literally close to HALF A BILLION DOLLARS. No shock he declined the offer now, it was a no-brainer decision.
6299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qatar Bans CryptoCurrency on: January 08, 2020, 11:01:29 AM
The Regulatory Authority shall impose penalties in accordance with its rights and obligations [...] in case of any violation of undertaking [...] activities that are not permitted in the QFC.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/qatar-financial-centre-puts-blanket-ban-on-cryptocurrency-businesses
Let's not say that they banned crypto but banned the companies dealing with crypto. You could have crypto right now and still be fine and nobody will punish you for it, however companies that deal with crypto buying and selling are banned to operate right now so you have no method of buying or selling crypto in Qatar.

However, that is most likely because Qatar wants to build a law that is similar to KYC to prevent the money laundering which exists a lot in Qatar thanks to many rich folks embezzling money from their companies being a cultural thing there, so they will provide some sort of law that makes sure who buys crypto and sells crypto and see if there is anything wrong going on.

After creating that law they will notify all companies who wants to build a market for crypto buy/sell market and those companies will follow that law.
6300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An uncertain future of Libra! Is it good for the crypto traders? on: January 08, 2020, 09:24:44 AM
The reason why there is no Libra in 2020 is not the elections, the reason why Libra will not be published in 2020 is that SEC already made its decision and put forwards some sort of rules what Libra has to follow in order to continue the operation and unfortunately Libra is not following those rules. Facebook basically is saying they will either do it their own way or not do it all together, SEC is also saying libra will be on their terms or they won't allow it.

So at the end of the day, nobody is getting what they want from Libra hence it is not happening. Not only in 2020 but not ever because nobody is backing down from what they are expecting from Libra. Hopefully, they could get together this year once again and talk about what they could compromise and build something eventually.
