I can't type chinese now as  didn't install the language packs.

Try -v -w 256

BTCGuild的混合矿 no 关系, you'll just get more namecoins in addition to bitcoin.
BTCGuild takes around 3% of your bitcoins earned as fees.

The difficulty is updated automatically. Just fill in the MH's and optionally the exchange rate (1 Btc = $x) . It'll give you an estimated number.

Try using other mining programs like Phoenix too. I personally get the best results on Phoenix beta 2

I find OC-ing using Sapphire Trixx the easiest. No need for flashing and the kind.
6304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Decryption on my own encrypted wallet.dat file? on: March 14, 2012, 12:43:46 PM
I have the same issue. I remember most of the password. It's just one or two characters that are off. Anyone else found a solution?

download your self a copy of backtrack 5. There are some good brute force password manipulators in there. It will give you a list of all possibilities. You just have to try them out.

I believe BT5 doesn't include this specific bruteforcer.
That said, use the pywallet script and run it with a batch file including a list of the passwords you wanted to test. That'll speed up the process.

Ok, then if memory serves me right. BT3 should have it.

May I know the name of the tool? I am on a low bandwidth connection for the time being so I cannot download BT3, I only have BT5 already installed.
No idea for me. I've used BT since the first edition (beta) and I didn't see anything specifically for cracking bitcoin wallets.

03/14/2012 -Important announcement: Bitscalper was hacked yesterday between 16.00 and 18.00 (UTC+1) and the totality of coins stolen. We are working on gathering all possible informations on the hack at this very moment. We apologize for any inconvenience we might cause.

does this mean theymos has our coins now?
Oh shut up. It's blatantly obvious you're having a vested interest with bitscalper, or you're only his alter ego.

Dear OP, with all due respect... go fuck yourself.

This scam is so fucked up...
Sir , your humor detector has obviously fucked up.

Coming from this forum I should have realized it was a joke. Since I know there's so many religious figures asking for money (in the most idiotic ways), I thought it was just another common practice.
We're mostly a bunch of libertarians here hence the frequent religion joke. Heck, the 13 religion supported was an utter givaway.
That said, OP what's the amount for heaven guarantee?   Grin Is there one for atheists?
6311  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: IT Administrator Mining on: March 13, 2012, 01:10:48 PM
And you forget he stole hardware and sold it on ebay.
This is the most bad point about this situation. If he only mined coins on the system this wouldn't be that bad at all.

It's still stealing company resources.
He might get off with a reprimand if it's only bitcoin mining. Stealing escalates this whole matter.

6313  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Are there any pools that don't mind botnets? on: March 13, 2012, 12:51:01 PM
Anyone running a botnet deserves the slowest and most painful torture ever devised by man. Evil fuckers.
LOL. That's a bit too excessive although I do hate them as much.

p.s.:Yay for my 500th post! Grin

So far this has been the only prediction/observation in quite a while that has proven to be correct for more than 1 day.
+1. And the rest fail.
6315  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 5970 & its cooling system on: March 13, 2012, 12:36:00 PM
neo you aren't listening.  it has NOTHING to do with the cooler.

There is something wrong with the card.  IT is defective, you have a bad fan (it will report 90% even though it is spinning no faster than a good fan does at 30%) or you are suffocating the chips because thermal grease is too thick.

I run 24 5970 in 3x5970 configuration.  With ambient air temp of 26C-30C the cards run 24/7 at 99% load with temps <70C.  24 of them in the same room.  A single card spiking to 95C+ has nothing to do with the cooler "sucking".
Maybe there's really something wrong with the cooler? I did get my 5850 to over 90C just from a buggy fan.

I really need to get over there sometime soon.

Strange grammar. Suspiciously googlish.

  • When I get to Korea, I'll buy you a round. -
  • If I ever get to Korea, I'll buy you a round. -
  • If I was in Korea, I'd buy you a round. -

And the most important point of all:

술안먹꺼든!

I don't drink. Get a pack of Martenelli's Sparkling Apple Cider and you're on.

I think this whole new system is silly and only highlights those people that throw themselves out there to state an opinion on an issue. Pussys don’t need to worry about their ignore color because they don’t have an opinion on anything.

Who said anything about worrying. I want to see how many people ignore me so I can know if I'm over the top or if I'm doing my job correctly. When half the forum ignores me, that's a bit over the top and I should tone it down. When 1/4th ignores me, I'm doing my job.
You're far from your goal, I think. Time to learn more from bulanova and randyfolds!

Live boot cd/usb key on ram without hard disk, is a good idea?
A great idea but much less flexible than a hidden OS.

A vanilla liveCD/USB would need to be reconfigured each time it is launched - you'd need to store the necessary packages somewhere.
Downloading TOR and/or other non-standard tools moments before hiding behind them isn't exactly the best of ideas.
Setting up all the necessary tools each time is not only tedious but error prone - think of the consequences of inadvertently missing a step.

A persistent liveUSB is a great tool able to remember the changed packages and configuration but since it's not full-disk encrypted, its purpose is obvious to any onlooker.

If you deploy TrueCrypt in FDE-mode and create a whole hidden operating system, as long as you don't do something dumb (anyone interested in the topic should carefully study the documention) no force on earth can prove the existence of this OS.
If you're forced to decrypt - e.g. while crossing a border, you decrypt the day-to-day (decoy) system containing no sensitive information.
+1
Truecrypt in FDE wins hands down, especially when the feds are at your door and you've run outta thermite. Wink

Already, when I'm replace cooler.
And do monitor your fanspeeds to see if the motor is degraded. I changed one old reference fan that was barely performing 40% of a new one, and got speed increases too.
