If Bitcoin disappeared my first alternative choice would be Litecoin. But that preference is driven by choosing the next most valuable option. If Doge coin becomes more valuable than Litecoin, Dogecoin would be my choice.
The coin that has the greatest value will always prevail.

Calm down. The only thing that's happened in Australia so far is that the tax department overreacted (double GST) then the senate recommended a change which is rather more in the opposite direction. It remains to be seen how the govt will ratify this, and still manage to screw up bitcoin companies. The government still trying to get a way about how bitcoin will give advantages for them if bitcoin is accepted. For now, there is no country will accept bitcoin easily since bitcoin could make their people to avoid some taxes with using it. |

I think your wrong, if everyone holds bitcoins then less bitcoins will trade in the market and buyers increase then price will automatically increase. And when its price hit US$300 people will sell some of their bitcoin, then the price will be decreased again. There is just a little chance for its price will reach atleast US$500 for next 2 years imo. |

On some of the other threads (in "Economics") there is talk of better coins coming. We'll see.
There will be many cryptocurrency subjects in some universities on this world, so I guess the graduated people from there would make a better coin someday or atleast they will try to innovate bitcoin in future. Just my guess. |

Yes, I have different definition about acceptance with legalizing. Maybe I'm wrong, but if its just about legalizing bitcoin, then there are many country which has done that. So there is no special with Australia then.
Australia is special because they have the most crypto business in their country and their rules and regulations support bitcoins, which is different from legalizing as they officially said that they like the technology too. And there are not 'so many' countries which have legalized bitcoins, they don't consider it a currency but instead treat it as capital and the profit is taxed like capital gains. Not only australia, but some banks have stated that they like bitcoin technology. Beside that, there are many countries that have many crypto business in their country. Legalizing means government let bitcoin grow, no matter if it will be a currency or capital or anything else, its up to bitcoin user in their country, which there are many countries have done that. |

Investing is gambling. By investing you are BETTING that you'll get a great result off your investment, this requires basically faith, hence its gambling. Of course, you should have better odds than pure raw luck of actual gambling.

Well Pedro has made first goal and his debut, seems his future will be brighter in Chelsea. Congrats for Chelsea, but they still didnt show their best performance. There are many economy experts in government structure, which I guess they wont let their country accept bitcoin since the government wont get any profit from that. But if they do, then I guess they have plans behind that. Anyway Australia has bigger chance to become the first country that accept bitcoin imo. No one important or less important country will adopt bitcoin banning its currency. there are to many factors that make bitcoin in adaptable for the monetary policy of one country. No matter what you are using as payment, those people still buy fake ID. If you can buy your stuff with bitcoin, then it also can be used for bad thing like porn (actually I dont know exactly if it is a bad thing or not), buy fake ID, weapons, drugs, or any bad thing else. The main point is, if they blame bitcoin just because it was used to pay fake ID making service, so they should blame fiat too.

If anybody want to grow his/her bitvoins, he/she has to work hard in anywhere. You know that bitcoin is money and you have to work to get it. Furthermore, if you want to grow it, do not spend.
working to get bitcoin, but I have had bitcoin and I want to grow my bitcoin. it seems grow bitcoin easier than working to get bitcoin. Its same in real life, which to get money you have to work hardly until you get much enough money to invest. Maybe growing bitcoin is easier than working, but working doesnt has any risk (to lose your money), unless if you work in dangerous area. |

If you mean bitcoin will lost its value, then I dont want to use any cryptocurrency again, since I think bitcoin is the strongest cryptocurrency. But if you mean bitcoin will be changed to new cryptocurrency which it is better and stronger, then I will prefer to use the new one.
